I have been going to Amore to get my nails and pedis done for a year and a half. It is my go to place! Now they have an Esthetics Department that offer varies facials for face and back as well as waxing, lashes and threading. I went in today to get my very first facial. Susan was my tech and she gave me the most satisfying and relaxing Diamond Microderm Facial. I had no idea what to expect with it being my fist time. Susan took the time to talk to me about my personal skin issues and went over the products she was using. Susan did such a phenomenal job on my face that the dark patches of discoloration I thought I had to leave with are gone. My skin is so soft and looks great. I'm a little bummed I have to give this place 3 stars because the actual pedicure was good and fairly priced. Cindy was very nice, and did a great job. The unfortunate thing is that a good pedicure was sandwiched by two less than welcoming interactions with the lady at the front desk. When I walked in, the front desk lady was visibly annoyed that I didn't have an appointment (even though they advertise "walk-ins welcome"). I would have completely understood if they were too busy or needed me to wait - that's a risk you take with walking in! She halfway led me to where I was supposed to go and then just mumbled something and walked off. I found myself standing in the middle of the salon and had to ask someone else where I should sit. I was eventually pointed in the right direction, and like I said, the pedicure was good. But, when I went to pay, I tried to use the "$5 off for fist timers" coupon in yelp. The same front desk lady told me I couldn't use the coupon because I "didn't book the appointment through yelp." I've used yelp coupons before and have always just had to check in and show them the app on my phone. Again, she was super annoyed by this. She made kind of a big deal about reducing the charge, but to her credit she did take the $5 off. Being new in town, I'm definitely going to try out some other nail salons prior to (if ever) returning to this one solely due to these less than welcoming interactions. read more

I don't normally you here but I decided to stop in and see if they had time for a walk in. They were really nice and accommodating and fit me in right away for a gel Mani. The location on Park Center is brand new and nicely kept. The nail tech Kylee was friendly.. however a few awkward moments of conversation.. I'll spare the details. My complaint is, as she was painting my nails she used a VERY minimal amount of polish and it was streaky. When I asked if it'd be like that she said she couldn't apply thicker coats cause they'd bubble. I told her I'd rather have bubbles than streaks so she appeased me. Her hands shook and I felt it took longer than necessary. She blamed it on the brand of polish but I had never had this problem before; having to choose between bubbles or streaks. In the end, because I asked her to do a extra and thicker coat, they turned out fine. But I wouldn't go back. read more

I have been coming here for awhile now. The owners are absolutely amazing. If you have any issues come back and they will fix it even if you broke the nail they will fix it. Kaylee does an amazing job I always leave satisfied and loving my nails and toes. My 10 year gets bad ingrown toes, I have started bringing her in and Cindy is so good and so sweet with her. Booked $100 worth of services, "technician" turned out to be a newly graduated student who did low quality student level work. It took her 3 times as long, had to do steps over again, hands shook, she apologized the whole time stating she wasn't good at applying nail polish. After 3 hours for a mani pedi, I had lumpy uneven nail polish on hands and feet that looked worse than I could do myself. When I checked out for $100 and they asked for a tip, I explained disappointment with service and was told "yeah she just graduated" and they didn't offer a discount on service or offer a next appointment with a more experienced person. I was ripped off because the price I paid was for an experienced level of service. If I wanted student quality work I would have gone to the local beauty school and it would have cost me $25 instead. I also should have been told at time of booking that technician was a very newly graduated student, but that wasn't disclosed. I won't return because they didn't uphold a level of utility that I would expect at their prices. read more

I'm torn between a 3-star and a 4-star review. So, I'm giving 4-stars based on the person who provided my pedicure. I booked my visit through the link on Yelp, so that was a great start. I live an hour from town, so planning is necessary and I understand scheduling very well. I finished breakfast at a nearby restaurant and thought, maybe I can stop by the Studio and get in early. I had no expectations, but figured, it can't hurt to try. From the moment I walked in the door, it seemed like I was interrupting a private social club. The person from at the front desk was curt and unfriendly when I asked if it was possible to start early. She kept saying, no appointment available until 4:30. I said, at least 4 times, that I had an appointment already, and finally, I was told that I couldn't start early. Based on this experience, I would have given a 1-star rating and would never return. Then, at the planned start time, we made it to the chair. However, a customer entered and had a catastrophic wedding day problem. That problem was related to some nails that my tech had done. The front desk person didn't want anything to do with the problem person. And, my tech seemed stymied by the issue. But, she balance the fixing of the nail problem with my pedicure very well. Finally, the issues were gone, and the pedicure began. This part would earn a 5-star rating. The attention to detail and focus on me as a customer was awesome. My feet were in need of help and they got exactly what they needed. I'll consider going back, but I'll look for recommendations from friends before "settling" on this location. read more

So badly want this to be 5 stars because the people who gave me the Pedi and Gel Mani were so sweet, skilled and thorough. The foot, leg and hand massage was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed the prep and scrub by the aestheticians. I got a fresh pedi and gel mani for a wedding the afternoon/evening following my mid morning Appt and when I removed my dress pumps at midnight I was surprised to see that the paint had not held after many hours drying and then sandal time. My mani is already discoloring. Thinking this is not anything wrong with the aestheticians who seem 100% skilled and excellent, but rather with the cheap product purchased by the salon. So I suggest the owner hold onto your awesome skilled staff, pay them well and purchase higher quality polish. read more

Truth be told, I've been one of her clients since right out of school and have followed her for years. Kaylee has an eye and such a sense of creativity that when you give her a color and then let her imagination run wild, you will never be disappointed in the outcome. I have had nails for years, but never with the love and talent that Kaylee gives to her clients. The salon is very clean and in a great location. Jenny does a fantastic job on my toes and I go back to her every couple of weeks now. She's sensitive to my unique set of issues and is always willing to listen and work with me. She's also great at those pesky nails that start to hurt after a while - no more ingrown toenails! My hands were in very bad shape when I came in due to the nature of my work and they look beautiful now. My feet needed extra attention because it had been a while. The place is gorgeous and took covid precautionary methods which is great, however, the two younger ladies who provided our pedicures were carelessly talking about offensive topics out loud to each other with no regard to anyone in the room. My person specifically did a terrible job, kept the water cold, barely scrubbed and massaged my feet, and finished my pedicure significantly faster than my parents'. Pros: - Outstanding front desk service and management from Duane. - Nice open space where you don't feel crammed up next to other folks, even if it's busy. - Excellent foot massage with my pedicure. - Good range of colors, and although I didn't get them, the acrylics getting done on the lady next to me looked gorgeous. Cons: - My manicure just isn't as good as I'd like. I was changing from oval longer nails to shorter square with rounded corners. I expected some possible difficulty in it going smoothly but the technician didn't mention anything. Overall the shape looks fine, but the edges feel sharp and thin. I asked her not to cut my skin or cuticles as I am prone to infection. She said, "oh, I'm already done with that part," but then later asked me if she could cut one ("please, please"), and then later attempted to sand one down so hard I would have rather had her cut it. Then when all was said and done, there was polish left on the edges of my fingers, and file dust trapped in the clear coat. - Timing. My appointment was for 4:15, but she was running behind, so I didn't get into the chair until 4:30. She still had some cleaning up to do, though, so it wasn't until 4:40 that we actually got started. With a gel mani and a pedicure, with only one tech, and the lateness, it meant that I was at the salon for over two hours. Overall: I'd like to like this spot more, and in fact I might go back for just a pedicure sometime. The ownership is great, the space is clean and a lot of the work I saw looked good. read more

It's a super cute place with wonderful staff. I was so excited when I walked in because it was so clean, so much space and they are all so nice. But I was not impressed with the service I got :/ the pedicure was just not good at all. All my nails were different lengths and shapes when she was done cutting and filing. Nothing even about them at all. And the polish was not done well at all. It was all over my skin and cuticles she didn't cut, spots were missed and looks like it was literally slapped on without a care. I would have understood more if she said she was new or still practicing but she said she was a perfectionist and kept saying how amazing they looked. More expensive than other nail salons so you would expect to get a quality mani/pedi. Two days after my manicure, my gel polish started chipping and my nails were brittle and breaking. Never experienced that from other salons. Also, the mani/pedi massages were basically non-existent. Not sure why they charge more for less service. read more

I am in Boise today (from Texas) for high school graduation. I needed a mani pedi badly and turned to Yelp for assistance. Several kept popping up but I found myself gravitating back to Amore. They were able to get me in quickly this morning and my experience was great! The staff are very personable, the salon is decorated nicely and they definitely care about being sanitary (pedicure chairs are the ones that utilize the liners in the bowls). Although I am not familiar with the area I actually liked the area the salon is in. I am embarrassed to say I didn't catch the nail techs name who assisted me today but she was wonderful.
