Food and service aren't good - food is very plain and not tasty. Coffee and matcha lattes are good though.

Initially, while browsing breakfast options on Yelp, I was simply attracted to the aesthetic of this place, like the name of the business, the font, the color of the door, etc. But then I looked at pictures of the food and I knew I wanted to try a breakfast sandwich. My husband & I arrived just before 1pm on a Saturday. He ordered the breakfast burrito and a latte and I ordered the breakfast sando. And even though I really wanted to try the coffee, sadly I was dehydrated so I opted just to have water on this visit. The breakfast sando was really good. The decadent bun with the fluffy eggs, crisp bacon with melted cheese complemented by the creamy avocado - yum. Service was super quick and friendly. We swung in for a quick caffeine stop and Amsterdm Coffee House did their thing. Here were our orders and all of them kept us moving for the day. London Fog Mocha oaxaca cappucino americano iced The service was quick and the staff was friendly. This is a small boutique coffee shop operated by locals living in the area. They definitely have their coffee and tea craft here. We saw the piano in the lounge but it might have been a little too early for some music. This place would be lower if the service wasn't as good. Amstrdm is a cute little coffee shop. When we came in on Sunday morning it was PACKED! Everyone seat and table was taken. We had a big party ahead of us in line so it took a bit to order. There wasn't much standing room with people constantly pushing past us. When we ordered, the service was what you expect, attentive and friendly. We eventually found a seat outside. Our coffees took a bit to come out and when they brought them out, they let us know they ran out of bacon for our sandwiches, if we wanted to wait, they were going to the store to get more. We decided to wait. We each ordered a latte which was just fine. Nothing super fancy or special. When our food came out, not only was it very bland and unseasoned, both my boyfriend and my mom had EGG SHELLS in their sandwich. They both said they felt a crunch in their eggs and were pulling out pieces of egg shell. That being said, don't think I'll be coming back. read more

It has the feel of an underground coffee house. Darkly lit, dark walls, dim lighting -- very cool indeed. At 7am, when they open, it doesn't offer much other than coffee. It also has no vibe. However, after 8am, the cook arrives with pastries and offers a small menu of eggy things, and the people come, and come. I like. Try it. read more

My wife and I like to visit various coffee shops , while on vacation. I have to say, Amsterdam Coffee house did not disappoint. The coffee house has a nice charm and the baristas are friendly. The fact that they brought our coffee to us was a nice touch. They also have a few of the standard selections of pastries. There is plenty of seating inside along with seating on the side walk. Parking is on the street . This is a good pick, while in Paso. read more

What a privilege it was to find a gem like Amstrdm in this beautiful town! As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted by each of the employees as if we were family. The gentleman who took our order was cool and considerate and delivered our lattes in sturdy, beautiful black ceramics. That stands out to me because as a former barista, I couldn't stand the thought of calling out a customers name or drink, especially when the place isn't busy. Yet, you see that all the time. Yet another soulless coffee shop. The place is relatively clean and quiet. The lighting is nice. But the coffee is mediocre. The place is staffed by high schoolers (which is okay, but you know..) and the maintenance is suboptimal (empty toilet paper rolls, overflowing garbage bins, etc). Seriously delicious coffee and breakfast sandwiches! Food came out pretty quick and the staff was very friendly. We had to take our order to go because our toddler started having a tantrum but in the car we scarfed down our sandwich's and they were perfect! The ideal breakfast sandwich with fluffy eggs, melty cheese, crispy bacon, avocado, and a fluffy bun. And the coffee just a drip and latte were so flavorful, coffee lovers dream. Nice interior with a good amount of seating and big open windows giving lots of fresh area and spaciousness. We will be back on our next paso visit. read more

Stop by for breakfast while visiting Paso Robles. The brunchwrap was a good size and pretty yummy! It consisted of flufffy eggs, cheese, ham, and a flour tortilla with avocado and pickled red peppers on top with hot sauce and sour cream on the side. I do wish there was another meat option like bacon or sausage but it was still tasty. The coffee was not too sweet but still had a good spiced flavor! Came here for breakfast one morning during our stay. After seeing pictures of the breakfast sandwich in Yelp I knew I had to try it. Cozy and rustic feeling interior with a handful of tables and some bar top seating. There was a decent selection of brunch food available and a few different pastry options. Bagel breakfast sandwich was good and pretty filling. There was no skimping on the eggs or avocado which was great. Did feel like it was missing something to really tie it together, kept thinking an aioli would be a nice addition while I was eating it. There was no one in line in front of me and about 5 people working. I ordered a latte and a toasted bagel. Was told they were all out of oat milk or almond milk (it was 8am) and that it would be a 20 minute wait for the bagel because they "go by ticket" whatever that means - again no one else there. After waiting I got my bagel - untoasted, as if it came straight from the bag with some cream cheese on top. Why that took 20 minutes I have no idea. Also the coffee and raw bagel was $17. Hidden on a side street in the downtown area, behind two large red wooden doors, the Amstrdm Coffee House and Piano Lounge. An oversized instrument is strung to the podium for ordering, and a miniature sign toting the "Himalayan Salted Caramel Latte" sits poised beside the register. I ordered the famed Himalayan salted caramel latte iced with oat milk, and experienced the sweetness of this drink for myself on a warm summer day. The barista was polite and not overly friendly, the atmosphere was chill and relaxed. It felt very much like an underground coffee spot that artists would enjoy, with decorative paintings gracing the walls, and ambient music drifting through the background. Overall, the drink itself was too indulgent for my taste, but, I would recommend it to someone with a sweet tooth! read more

Melted cheese on croissant had been left to get cold before served. Each item overpriced. We ordered three coffees and breakfast sandwiches / burritos and were told the food would take about 20 mins. We said OK. The coffees were served quickly but the breakfast sandwiches took 35+ minutes. The eggs on all of the sandwiches were bland and had no seasoning at all. They were completely out of their house salsa but they did have some packets of sauce which helped. The coffees were all small and just OK. The cost was $71 and included tax and tip and we all agreed it was overall disappointing and obviously have had better days to merit the better reviews. It seemed they were interviewing potential employees while we were there so I hope they are able to staff up and solve some of the problems. read more

Worst bagel I've ever had. Not sure f they ran out and I had something they had to quickly buy at a local grocery store but it just tasted like bread and did not look like the pictures.
