On the morning of my appointment, I realized I never received a text confirmation, so I called to double check. Unfortunately, I was told that my appointment details had never been saved. They did offer an opening later at 2:00 PM, which I accepted, though coming from NYC it was inconvenient and required rearranging my afternoon plans. When I arrived, the stylist was very friendly, but there was another mix up, he believed I was only scheduled for a cut, not a perm. While he was able to fit just the perm in, I think the time constraints led to a much looser perm, used larger and less rods than what I had requested. I specifically asked for a tighter style, similar to what I usually get. Afterward, I honestly don't see much of a difference between my hair before and after the perm, which is disappointing. I do believe they gave me a discounted rate, but the repeated miscommunication made the experience frustrating and the end product wasn't really what I wanted. It felt like a waste of both time and money, and I'll now need to have it redone elsewhere.

She said she can achieve the color without a problem. I sat there for a good 4 hours, but something didn't look right.  She started to bleach my roots after 4 hours in. Went for a wash, and that's when I noticed my hair did not look the way I wanted... Not only did my roots look orange, but my whole hair was not EVEN. Also, the lighting in the store is so dark you can't really tell until you get home. I did tell her we needed to fix this, but the store was about to close so she asked if I could come in next week. I wanted to get it fixed asap so I asked if I could come in next morning. Next few days, I texted her again and showed her how my hair is different from top to bottom...I asked her if it is okay if I can just get a refund and she refused to give me my refund. The part I was most annoyed with the most when she said she'll return half and wouldn't give me the other half because I used her products LOL. She said it's not "fair" when I asked for a refund. You are the store owner and need to satisfy your customers? I never experienced such poor customer service and management in my life. In the end, I still didn't get a refund or a full apology. Please do yourself a favor and take your $300 elsewhere. They do not know how to color your hair at all. Never going back ever again. **WHO LET'S THEIR CLIENT LEAVE LOOKING LIKE THAT. I appreciate that Soyoun and Michelle took the time to genuinely listen to my concerns and communicate on what process would result in a uniform color throughout my hair so it looked natural. My appointment was with Michelle, and I liked that she was attentive when cutting and coloring my hair. I didn't feel it was rushed (if you want a quick cut this might not be what you're looking for). I regret not bringing a book to read!.. I was there for 2.5 hours due to the coloring process, as they had to remove the dyed color from half my hair before coloring my whole head. When my back started to ache from sitting, Michelle noticed and brought a cushion to prop behind my back! The hair wash was gentle and the brief scalp massage felt greattt. There are hair salons where my neck feels strained a minute into the hairwash. No neck pain here! The salon is spacious. There were two other customers, and we were spread out to different areas of the salon. Throughout my appointment(color, cut, wash, blowdry), not once was I asked to remove my mask. The staff always had their masks on too. I plan to come back to Juun Hair. The atmosphere was very comfortable and pleasant.

Price was super good for all of the services. THE PERM: Be forewarned, they will tell you which type of perm you should do. For me, since my hair is fine, they advised a regular perm. They also advised that I do a deep conditioning treatment beforehand, which I agreed to. That took an extra 20 minutes or so before the perm, and they gave me 5 weeks of additional little packets to use each week. The whole process was performed by the main stylist who mainly only spoke Korean (and needed a translator at times) and her assistant. The stylist also gave me a little hair trim before the perm. Then the perm itself took about 2 hours, including washing and drying my hair afterwards. Overall I was in the salon about 3 hours. Now, 2 weeks out from the perm, I can say it's equal to much higher priced perms that I've gotten in the past. Overall I am super happy with the results. I think in total, the price was around $180 for the perm and the conditioning treatment. I tipped each of the two ladies $20 and so the total was $220.

After brushing it out for over an hour, the stylist proceeded to cut my hair. At the end of the cut, I saw the result of a 1995 Jennifer Aniston- which wasn't the style I asked for. The hairstylist told me due to my "layers" she had to cut it that way. I told her I didn't have layers and she told me "well it was from brushing out the knot." AKA- they broke my hair off to get the knot out. So after that trauma, they gave me a 20% discount. Which honestly, for knotting up my hair so badly, and not disclosing they were going to give me a different style bc they ripped some of my hair off, wasn't enough. But nonetheless, I let that go. The next day, I noticed a lot of tenderness in my head. There were also certain patches of my head that were red, basically felt like a burn. Six days later, there was still redness and still very sore. I go to the salon to tell them and they said "it's normal from all the pulling we did when we combed out the knot from your hair." I said this is NOT normal. They downplayed the situation from beginning to end and took no accountability whatsoever. They offered a hair treatment and I declined. Bc let's be honest, who wants to get a hair treatment and/or wash from a salon that just wreaked havoc on their head?! I see people have had good experiences here (based on the other reviews which is why I went in the first place), but if there is a mishap, they will take NO accountability and try to minimize the situation.
