We were promptly welcomed in and offered our choice of couch, high top, or bar seating. The menu was extensive! I loved the variety of cocktails and their descriptions in the menu which clarified whether they were strong or light. There were many adventurous and complex drinks alongside some simpler classics. I ordered the Spritz which contained Prosecco, hibiscus, and lemon. It was very refreshing, as promised! My friend ordered a drink which was very tequila-forward and had a delightful kick to it. I would give Analogue a 3.5. It is a cute cocktail bar in west village. The inside is beautiful and much bigger than you would think. They do a good job of not letting it get too crowded too. The service I would say it very average they were a little rude upon check in and when taking orders but on a Saturday night I'm sure it is stressful. The drinks were good and there was a wide variety of them but I can't say they were anything too special. My cousin hosted a cocktail reception here the night before his wedding. The bar itself is really nice with a comfortable and mellow vibe, lots of dark wood and pockets where people can sit and talk. It's also one of those bars that has a back bar, so you could really fill the space up (which my cousin did). My cousin's wife is a cocktail aficionado, and after getting my first drink, I understood why she chose this bar. They can REALLY make a good cocktail here. The fellow manning the back bar was the type of bar tender who likes to put on a show when he makes cocktails - lots of flare, lots of fun. He wasn't the fastest, but I didn't mind waiting because I loved watching him make drinks. He nailed EVERY pour I saw him make. Every one. That is HARD. And his cocktails were absolutely perfectly balanced and smooth. The drink I got at the front bar was a little less well-made, but still definitely acceptable. I had wonderful service by the bartender Keith, the problem is that I was racially discriminated against by the hostess and the manager. I would inform that if you are a person of color, especially black, avail this establishment at all cost. I laughed with my mentor at the bar and was told by the hostess that I was "disturbing the peace", after sitting there for over two hours. The manager (who is African American) told me that he (trusted the judgement of his staff) proves that "all skin folk aren't kin folk"! I will not be patronizing this establishment again, and would advise patrons in the POC community to not patronize them also. Heads up that this place REALLY can't wait for you to leave, and they'll remind you of it six times before you finally do. We sat down for an early reservation and were immediately told that there was a 2-hour limit on the table. A little strange because we were *literally* the only people in the whole place (why not wait to see if it is even necessary?) but ok, happy to comply. About 1.5 hours later, our waitress told us it was last call because they needed the table back, and we said we would just take the check. Still all fine. Before she even came back with the check, the sociopathic manager made his first appearance and said, "guys we really need the table back." Ok, we get it: "we know, we're getting the check." Not two minutes later he was back (and mind you, at this point we are STILL well within our original 2-hour limit!) and he's pissed: "GUYS, we NEED this table." At this point we'd had enough and told him we just paid our check and that he needed to chill out and tone down the aggression, to which he said "I'M NOT BEING AGGRESSIVE!" and stormed off. If you like to be treated as though you, the paying customer, are a horrible inconvenience to the business you're patronizing, or if you take your cocktail with a side of confrontation-induced adrenaline, this is your place. If you want a relaxing weekend cocktail that doesn't involve frantically checking your watch (which everything about the design of this place suggests it will be), I'd avoid at all costs. read more

Just an astoundingly rude manager who would not let my group sit together and deliberately placed us on two ends of the bar even though the table next to us was open because "we don't do that" meaning a group of 7 instead of 6 despite the fact that we had booked the reservations and called weeks ahead to set it up. When I told him that, he said I was lying...so yeah just a treat and a half at front of house. It wouldn't have been such a big deal (totally fair if there was a miscommunication and they need to ask us to adjust) but he jumped to aggressive accusations immediately. I was especially sad to have had such a bad experience because we often ordered from this bar and had become friends with some of the team during lockdown and have enjoyed and recommended it since. We had honestly booked this group there less for the drinks which are fine but more to further support them; Never again. It was just dealing with someone on a power trip for no reason. A shame to see this spot lose its charm like this because of one person. We went down the block to the new Mr. Capri and had an incredible time with the NICEST people. The cocktails were phenomenal; highly rec their Le Sirene: Gin martini, anchovie oil, butter and breadcrumbs. We ended up wrapping our evening with some lovely shots with the bar staff there. A cozy spot with classy decor inside- spacious layout and comfortable leather seats but it could be pretty busy on weekends. Making reservations would save your time to wait. Went here on a date tonight and thought it was a cool spot. I was able to be seated immediately upon arrival even though my companion hadn't arrived yet. I was presented with a covid tracing form and was told the menu was on a QR code in the middle of the table. Menu is exciting - lots of original cocktails with a wide array of ingredients. My date had the eponymous "Analogue" and I had the prickly pear margarita. His drink was inarguably better than mine although mine was good as well. Only complaint I had was that they brought out the check after our first round which was a little premature as we probably would have stayed for another, but I think it was more of a mis-signaling than anything else. All in all, New York is full of interesting cocktail bars but I think Analogue holds its own. Would go back to try another drink for sure. read more

We drank 5 drinks at $17 each and were chatting for an hour. We would have ordered food next but apparently we weren't allowed to be there anymore. Wait staff is nice, but never asked us if we wanted to see a menu or if we wanted to order food. I will never return to a restaurant that expects you to drink a certain amount of cocktails on THEIR time frame. I'm disgusted by the service I was given even after questioning the manager directly about why we were being evicted. I told her I'll go with a Mezcal forward drink. She recommended the Paloma in Retrograde. The drink was very watery and didn't leave a lasting impression. The waitress informed me that it was policy to order food with a drink. She gave some options and I went with the popcorn. I was pretty much finished with the drink when it came out and (as a popcorn connoisseur) it was stale and hard to chew. Came here with a couple friends on a Wednesday night. We'd made reservations beforehand, which turned out to be a good decision -- the place was absolutely packed. We ended up being seated right next to the door, where we stayed for the next few hours. The drink(s): First, just want to say I love the menu layout. Analogue divides drinks by "category" (i.e. lighter drinks, spirit-forward, classic cocktails), which is great if you're like me and only want something that's light and sweet. The prices are roughly the same across the board ($17--$20, which, sad to say, is fairly standard for NY drink prices). I got two drinks -- the Get Busy Living and the Anejo Daiquiri. I can't recommend the Get Busy Living enough. It was strong (I definitely felt it afterwards), but tasted amazing while I was drinking it, like the world's best fruit punch. The daiquiri was great as well, although the alcohol taste was much more apparent. The ambience: The vibes of this bar were excellent. There was something very elegant and timeless about being here (maybe that's emblematic of a neighborhood like the WV), but I would definitely come back. TLDR: If you're here, get the Get Busy Living -- and plan to stay for a couple hours, as you work your way through the menu! read more
