a long line of food being served

Finally!! This is the Indian food dining experience I have been searching for in Columbus. As always, thanks to all the Yelp reviewers as I had never heard of it. Food, service, atmosphere - all are fantastic. The staff just goes above and beyond with the great service. They are so courteous and check in to see if you need anything. One gentleman even walked me through, explaining all of the various items on the buffet. The lunch buffet is such a steal for $15. There were lots of entree choices and several vegetarian options. It included two kinds of soups and two different dessert choices. All of the food was fresh and hot. Garlic naan was crisp and buttery. It might be the best tasting naan I have ever had, although I think some would find it too crispy. I cannot wait to return on a weekend for the "special" buffet.

Garlic naan. So yum. So worth it.

Holy cow, Batman!! Finally an amazing simple Indian buffet! Super fresh food. Plenty of vegetarian with level 2-3 heat and plenty of chutneys to spice it up. Garlic naan. To die for!!! Solid pakora. The staff are kind, courteous and keep a good eye on your needs. The buffet is daily. Not just weekends. I stumbled on this based on other Yelp reviews after a visit to the Bing Center. Parking is surprisingly easy as well. Goat and chicken were featured meats. I wish I ate meat to try the butter chicken. This would be an excellent place to try to get your children on board with Indian food. They actually have a special children's buffet pricing. They took over the space of a Japanese/asian fusion restaurant. Conveniently near Osu campus, without making you actually have to deal with being on campus and finding parking.

    Delicious Chicken Korma! (04/09/2024)

This new Indian spot is located within the strip shops on the northwest corner of Olentangy and Ackerman Roads development). I meant a friend for dinner before heading over to a theatre production at OSU's new performing arts building. The menu here is several pages long; do wish there were more pictures to represent. Since it was early in the evening, I think we may have been the only patrons inside, so service was attentive with no problems. The thin cracker bread that was brought to our table as soon as we were sat was actually really, really good. It had a fantastic flavor, not just boring flour and water getup. I picked my go-to Chicken Korma. It was quite good. A decent amount of chicken chunks, one very important thing I look for when eating at any Indian restaurant; however, there were a few that were not tender and rather tasteless. For dessert I ordered their Kheer to go, and it was heaven, just plain heaven! I also want to state that for the $5.99 menu price it was an entire 1-pound circular container. Incredible. I've never got this much quantity for my money; and the quality was top-notch. I would like to try the lunch buffet here. If the buffet food's as enjoyable as my dinner experience, then I'm all in.

My husband just picked up a to go order of chicken Tikka masala and saag paneer. I was very excited to try them since the reviews are so good but I've never had Indian food this bad. Both dishes are sweet and flavorless. They honestly taste the same. They're also so watery. Even the naan is flat and dry. I'm so disappointed. My kids refuse to eat it and they love Indian food. The order was also packaged carelessly as the containers were dirty. We won't be coming back

I was excited to try this new Indian food spot and it did not disappoint. I got takeout but it was very quick and easy and the inside looked clean. I could have gone up a level in spice but it was very tasty and the portion size was good for 2-3 meals! Will definitely be ordering again.

    Weekend lunch buffet 5 stars!!

Everything was delicious and the hosts were welcoming and helpful. The space was comfortable & happy. What a great Indian food addition to Clintonville/UA/OSU area! My Saturday lunch buffet plate - pani puri, samosa chaat, bhel puri, paneer chili, saag paneer, tandoori chicken, chicken curry, navratan korma, chicken tikka masala, biryani, salad... yum.

Indian food simply doesn't get better or fresher. Reviews were accurate. Great spice. Delicious naan. Tons and tons of flavor.

Vegetable samosas with slightly spicy, mint chutney and sweet, smooth, rich, tamarind, chutney

Delicious Indian food with a fine dining experience and Indian music adding to the ambience. Split the chicken tikka masala which comes with rice, an order for garlic naan, veggie samosa, papadams, and gulab jamun. Everything was very flavorful, we could set the spice level for the curry, and mint chutney was fresh and slightly spicy while the smooth and sweet tamarind chutney made for a perfect pairing. Also had a salty lassi which was on the thinner side but seasoned with spices for a well-balanced drink. An excellent meal! Staff and service were fantastic as well. Can't wait to go back!

You can cater the level of spice to what your palette enjoys. Mine is a level 7+. I decided to go with items I have never tried before which were both great. I went with the Beef Bori Kabob and Paneer Onion Kulcha Flatbread with a special request of extra spicy. The Paneer Onion was very spicy but tolerable. The Beef Kabob was spicy but to less degree. The kabob was also not a full meal so the flatbread was a great accompaniment. Since the others in my group got full plates, I was able to enjoy basmati rice since it was served in a large pot that was refillable. Dessert options are on a separate menu. I was able to get a pistachio sponge cake like dessert. Not too sweet with a hint of spice. Yum! Great recommendation by our server who was so helpful! Full bar service available. Indoor and Outdoor seating available. Wish it was a little warmer because I would love to sit outside. Tables are meant of large groups but it seems like management can make it happen if you call ahead. Only downside of this place was the parking was a bit hard. Best bet is to utilize the free street parking. Can't wait to come back and try new items.

However, I was very disappointed in the Chicken Tikka Masala. I absolutely LOVE Indian and have gone to many restaurants across the US. maybe I just came on the wrong day, but it was very bland (I could tell by the beige color before I even tasted it) Even though I got the "medium-hot" on the spicy scale, it tastes like I asked for no spice at all. It was still good and creamy but it didn't have that full luxurious flavor I am use too. I like to feel the heat in my face, but it didn't even tickle my tong.

The food is quite tasty but the price is high for lunch ($16.99) especially considering the limited number of offerings. Also, the items marked "Spicy" really weren't spicy at all. On the plus side, I got a Taj Mahal beer and it was competively priced at $8 a bottle. The service was excellent with all the staff helping with removing used plates and checking to make sure things were all good for us. The ambiance is upscale casual and very tastefully done. I honestly doubt that I'd go back for the buffet but I am up for another visit to try more things on the menu. Also, the "Suggested Gratuity Amount" is wrong. It should be for your food and drink only. They are including tax in their calculations so if you're going by their numbers, you're paying sales tax and tipping on it too. That being said, I'd give these folks 4 stars.

We were seated right away and surveyed the menu with a prodigious number of choices including robust tandoori offerings. I opted for the Mighty Shrimp Tandoor which may have been a bit overstated in terms of their girth or lack thereof. I chose 4 out of 5 on the hot scale and it was a full fledged 4 for someone who often opts for 4 or 5. So go low if heat is not your thing. My dining companion went with her favorite, Saag Paneer. Artfully presented, reported to be passible, not spectacular. Alas the rice ironically is where a notable shortcoming came together, literally. There were sticky clumps of rice that were not as warm as the rest and made us think perhaps we'd come too close to closing. With prices of $22 for the shrimp and $19 for the paneer one should hope these standard details are attended to even later in the evening. The servers were pleasant if a bit hesitant. So the good news was they were still open at 8:55 when the first couple places we tried were closing at 9. The food was serviceable but not one we will make a point of returning to.
