Verdict - they definitely are not authentic. Just because you use coconut milk in the fish curry, it doesn't become Goan. They just made up the recipe and call it Goan. The keema kulcha was fine - lots of minced lamb filling, and pretty filling on its own. Ambience looked proper, and the place looked clean at first blush (but I haven't done a sit-down meal here). I taught myself a long time ago to completely avoid Indian food places in the Walnut Creek - Lafayette neighborhoods. For whatever reason, I finally decided to try this place (in some 17 years of living in Walnut Creek). This place also confirms my previous experiences. Will skip this place for good. And leave it to the locals who seem to enjoy the food better.

The place was a complete ghost town--barely another customer in sight--which already set a strange tone. We asked for hot tea, something that's traditionally complimentary at most Indian/Pakistani restaurants, and were told they don't even offer it. No dessert options were suggested or offered either, which was surprising given that we specifically came for desserts. Overall, there was a noticeable lack of warmth and hospitality. Folks really liked the lamb, but my favorite is still the mildly spicy chapli kabobs! I took a bolani home. It is perfectly crispy after a few minutes in the toaster oven. It is a smallish restaurant but Yasmeen manages the front end well with a helper. Highly recommended!

Amazing, delicious food!…read more Today I ordered the Kabuli rice with chicken, and I couldn't stop eating--it was absolutely delicious. The yogurt sauce was the perfect complement. Just a heads-up: the red sauce is very spicy, so use it with caution! This was my second visit, and you've definitely won me over. I'll be coming back again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic meal.
