I haven't had the pastries but was able to grab some ice coffee with a friend. For a small little shop I would say it offered more than I expected. There's plenty of seating. The coffee was pretty decent. For the price? It was a steal! Plus the youngster at the register was very pleasant. I wish they offered nondairy options for my lactose intolerant friend BUT again for a small local business, I don't expect it to be just like a Starbucks. read more

Best baklava I've had in a long time! I haven't had eveone of Ana's pastries yet that I did not love. I haven't had all of them yet, but that will soon change now that I have found this wonderful bakery. The cannoli are only filled the moment you order, so the shell stays crisp. The tres leches is sweet mushy magic, as is the tiramisu. It is also very pleasant to get a table by the front window and enjoy the sunshine. Special shout out for the burek, a delightful pastry filled with ground beef, or cheese, or spinach. I can only speak for the beef burek although I plan to return very soon for the others. UPDATE: The cheese burek is So good, it's almost like a cheese danish. A great breakfast with a coffee. The spinach burek is very generous, like a delicious spanikopita but slightly different pastry. Get one of each, cut them in half and you have a $14 dinner for 2. Just a very small criticism, they need real plates and metal tableware. Also, when I am having my coffee in the shop, it is more enjoyable out of a proper coffee cup rather than a paper cup. UPDATE #2: They serve my coffee in a cup now! Which reminds me, the cappuccino is also terrific here. Ana's bakery is in Morris Park, on Williamsbridge Road just south of Pelham Parkway. Great pastries and great selection, however I was shorted .19 of a pound, which was a lot considering I ordered only 1 pound of cookies. The cookies I ordered were put on a wax sheet then put on the digital scale. After the cookies were put into a box I looked back to see that the scale was shown at .19 pound meaning that I missed out on a several cookies. This is the first and last time I'll ever go here. read more

Ana's Bakery excessed my expectations. I ordered a cake for my brother in law and the design was made exactly how I asked. From every little detail it was perfection. Found this little gem once I got a new job a few blocks away. Now I'm a regular for life. Fresh, delicious coffee ALL DAY, no matter when I have time for a break it's piping hot, and for that one time it wasn't the sweet Albanian girl gladly made a fresh pot for me :) This place is known for their homemade fresh bread so I picked up a loaf one morning on my way to work for the office and WOW, could have ate that thing all by myself. So crusty, so fluffy.....Granted it was pretty much fresh out the oven but even what was left during lunch time was still amazing. They have whole wheat as well for the days I try to be healthy, and it's surprisingly delicious. Only thing is this bread is best eaten on the day of and up until the morning after. Don't expect to keep this in your house for a week. No preservatives to let it last longer than that, and honestly it's okay with me since it never lasts more than a day. The pastries are also to die for. True Italian style and many of options to choose from. I've pretty much tried everything at this point haha but I would say my go to choices are the rainbow cookies, Napoleon, carrot, strawberry shortcake, flan, elephant ears, and apple turnovers. Also their Albanian goodies like "tulumba" and baklava or their "secer pare" which means sweet money lmao. Whatever so freaking good. FINALLY, I will end this with their bureks!!!!! Spinach, meat, and cheese each perfectly filled in a crispy spiral of heaven. I've been taken to numerous burek spots around the city taken to me by my Albanian / Bosnian friends and honestly this place that I found all on my own really surpasses the others. They accused me of pulling up the middle finger at them when The subject was about a cake design, I have never felt more shocked. You would think that the women who work in there would learn to speak English. Everything I asked had to be asked in a different language to someone else. I was very annoyed with the service. I bought 2 different items in there, tasted one of them and it was hard as a rock. I wouldn't go back there if they were the last bakery in town. read more

I love this place. If I ever move outta this neighborhood, I'll still make the trip to visit. Ana and Elizabeth are super sweet. I came in yesterday to get one of their delicious black and white cookies which are freshly baked each morning. I usually always get 2 cause they're so amazing. I didn't have enough cash so I said I'd use my card. However, their card machine wasn't working and she let me take them anyway without paying the full price. I returned today to pay the balance.
