I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Pure Medical Spa was extremely disappointing…read more I had a Signature Hydrafacial scheduled for 6:00 p.m. When I arrived, the receptionist informed me that the Hydrafacial machine was malfunctioning and that my appointment would be delayed by about 25 minutes. While it wasn't ideal, I understood that technical issues can happen and agreed to wait. Unfortunately, the 25-minute delay turned into a full hour. What made the experience even more frustrating was that, while I was still waiting, the next client for a Hydrafacial had already arrived. When I was finally taken back, the treatment felt rushed because another customer was waiting. The Signature Hydrafacial is advertised as a 45-minute treatment, but mine lasted only about 30 minutes. After waiting an hour past my appointment time, I expected to receive the full service I had booked--not a shortened version. I paid for a 45-minute treatment but did not receive one. I understand that unexpected issues happen, but what matters is how a business handles them. I would have appreciated honest communication, the full treatment, or some effort to make up for the inconvenience. Instead, I left feeling like my time didn't matter. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Pure Medical Spa.

But maybe two weeks later, I did have go back for corrections. I got one joker brow and a fold on one part of my forehead again. I was advised that my face and brows are uneven - which I know they are, haha. But, I think that it might be more about how they do injections because I've had excellent results with a doctor's office in DC (where the nurse made smaller injections and more distributed along my forehead as opposed to injecting more Botox in a few spots. Or perhaps they don't have as much experience with East Asian faces. The team are super nice there, and if there are any undesirable results, they invite you back to make the corrections.

Complaint Against LaserAway for Unethical Business Practices and Unauthorized Charge…read more On October 25, 2025, I had a scheduled 11:00 a.m. laser hair removal appointment at LaserAway. I arrived on time, was checked in by the receptionist, and taken to a treatment room. Before the procedure began, a nurse practitioner joined by video to review my health history. When I disclosed that I have cataracts, she immediately ended the call and said I was not a candidate for treatment. I left the facility around 11:15 a.m. without receiving any service. Before booking, I had a detailed phone conversation with an intake representative who strongly encouraged me to proceed. I fully discussed my health history, yet was never told cataracts would prevent treatment. Afterward, I reviewed their policies and found no mention of cataracts as a restriction. Despite being denied service, my card was charged $249.00 later that same day (around 1:15 p.m.). I have called multiple times to request a refund but have been repeatedly transferred or ignored with no resolution. I believe this constitutes unfair and deceptive business practices. The company continues to charge customers for services they do not perform and fails to provide clear medical exclusions in advance. I respectfully request a refund of $249.00 and I think the Better Business Bureau should review LaserAway's policies and billing practices to prevent similar incidents for other consumers.
