Had a great first visit here on Sat and back again on Thursday! My family must love it. My chicken & beef bowl with steamed rice was excellent on Sat. It was so flavorful--I love the fact the meat is marinated and cooked in the teriyaki sauce which gives it a great flavor and you don't have to pour on any teriyaki sauce they provide in the side if you don't want to. My kid loved her shrimp tempura, and now we're back again for more shrimp tempura. It's going to be a regular spot from now on. Always friendly service. If I were rating strictly on service and food presentation, I would give ANB Teriyaki Grill a 5. But it's also about the taste of the food, and that's where my rating points take a hit. My daughter and I arrived half an hour before closing and the place was so busy, I thought that it was their grand opening weekend. It wasn't, it was just that popular! We thought this was definitely a good sign. This is an order at the counter and they'll call your number when your food is ready restaurant. When we arrived, almost all of the inside AND outside tables were full. Good thing we were planning on take out! The cashier was very friendly and outgoing and we ordered with ease. We chose a beef bento box and a chicken & vegetable bowl. While we were waiting for our order, they decided to close 20 minutes early and stop taking orders. As soon as they turned off the "open"' sign, the menu boards also shut off. Good thing we already got our order in! When we got home with our order, the presentation was picture-worthy beautiful! Portions were generous. Even so, the flavor just wasn't there. The beef in the bento box was tender, but even after adding teriyaki sauce it was not very flavorful. The shrimp tempura looked and tasted like it was of the frozen variety and the same for the gyoza. The California rolls were okay, but I didn't see a sushi chef cranking them out, so I had to wonder if those were also premade. The chicken in the veggie bowl was better, but the veggies were undercooked and not tender. I had such high hopes for ANB. I hope it was a fluke. But I will continue to drive further to get amazing Island BBQ that consistently has amazing flavor and also has generous portions. read more

Seen this place featured on some guys YouTube It's close to me so I figured I'd give it a try. Saturday around 6pm I parked snd could see a small line out the door it went fast so in a matter of minutes my order was taken. Place was really clean. While waiting for my food I sat at the high tables and the counters were clean too so that was nice. Anyways I placed an order for 2 combo plates chicken and beef. They had a ton of choices of bento boxes, bowls and plates. My order was to go I took it home and chowed down. It was really good and tasty and large portions I think 2 ppl could share a combo plate. One of the better teriyaki chicken plates I have ever had, and I've tried a lot of places. The chicken and rice was so good that I finished the whole thing, even though the portion size is pretty generous and enough for two people. Chicken was perfectly grilled and very flavorful, it didn't really even need any teriyaki sauce. The salad is a nice little side dish too. Plenty of food to fill you up and the menu is actually pretty extensive. However, the chicken teriyaki plate was so good that I would probably just stick with this all of the time. read more

Like the other ANB's, the food here is impeccable, especially factoring just how packed their bowls are. The chicken and beef are super delicious, especially sauced in teriyaki and a bit of Siracha and a bit of green onions, but what makes this an excellent bowl is that you get basically two servings in every large order. Granted, I don't eat it in two servings, but I have in the past split it with someone when I had already had a smaller meal a few hours prior. That's a lot of food for a decent price. What also makes this location great is that there is more dining room space compared to the other locations I've been to. The La Puente location especially feels cramped in contrast. I feel like I'm just hogging space when there are so many others trying to find a seat. At this location in Placentia, there were plenty of two tops, four tops, and a few booths that were adjacent to one another that could accommodate larger parties inventively. That let me read a bit, which, if you follow me, is always a plus. I love nothing more than following a satisfying meal with a satisfying twenty or so minutes reading in peace at the table. The service was great. The orders were put in quick and were prepared quickly. They were very generous in getting me my requests of chopsticks, extra napkins, and even extra green onions. I won't say it's excellent because they're not a full service waiter or waitress kind of place, but it's great for a fast casual food joint. I think this may well be my favorite ANB to go to now because of all that and I look forward to make so many return trips here. read more

The restaurant is clean, limited fountain drink selection, they need to put out the cutlery like knives/napkins or you have to go to the counter and ask. The food was expensive in my opinion. The same strip mall has the exact same thing for much less at the Japanese restaurant next to ACE. Everything was tasty. They offer 2 options for salad dressing ranch or thousand island. We heard about this spot on socials and finally stopped in today. There was plenty of parking, the staff was nice and the restaurant was clean. Our food came out quickly and it was flavorful. I will say the cost is high compared to another spot we go to in Fullerton (not to be named) but the portions were good. I thought it was a little weird that one salads came with ranch or thousand but the food was calling for more ginger based dressing. I used to come to the chicken teriyaki place before ANB (Kings Teriyaki) all the time, and was really sad when the owners retired. Kings tasted like a homemade meal with golden light brown teriyaki sauce that was made in house, and ANB just tastes like a typical teriyaki restaurant. That said, ANB does have good food. I got the chicken plate, which I I liked the chicken, rice, salad, and cali rolls. The shrimp tempura's batter is way too thick, and the gyoza was forgettable. I'd probably try out some other items on the menu, but I'd prefer getting a regular chicken bowl over the chicken plate. read more

I was super excited to see that a ANB opened closer to where I live. The new restaurant was clean. Staff made sure I had everything to take my meal home. When I got home I realized their was no dipping sauce for the tempura. They also did not have sesame dressing for their salads, just ranch and thousand island dressing. I had the chicken and beef bento box, it came with rice, salad, shrimp tempura, gyoza, California Roll & miso soup. That's a lot of food up $20.48, which I think is a good deal. Tried ANB Teriyaki tonight. Ordered the Chicken/Beef Combo Plate with rice and salad and the Fish Plate. The salad was fresh (either ranch or 1000 island dressing). Both the Chicken/Beef and the Fish plates were good. I like the plate options with plates, bowls, bento plates, bowls with rice or bowls with vegetables. They also have sides to order like gyoza, kimchi. The Bento Plates (a bit more pricey) comes with 4 California rolls, gyoza, 2 shrimp tempura, miso soup and salad. Overall, it's a nice step up from King's Teriyaki (who was previously in this spot). Glad we still have a teriyaki spot to go in P-town! read more

I ordered a regular combo bowl with veggies and it was enough for two meals plus more the meat and the chicken were both delicious and the steamed vegetables were great. Highly recommend this place. I got it via delivery so I couldn't comment on the atmosphere or service but my Uber driver was great. I give it a nine out of 10 you have to try it. read more

Meat is significantly higher quality than you find at all other places, teriyaki sauce was a little sweeter than what I'm used to, but the sriracha balances it out nicely. I got large half n half, wife got regular half n half and we added 2 short ribs al a carte. Everything was absolutely delicious!!
