It was such a beautiful day today decided to take baby girl and I here for lunch today, we both didn't know what we wanted, but I know I wanted something on the healthier side. So I decided let's go here she loves the Yakisoba chicken noodles so we shared that, and I got a side of pot stickers and Miso soup and the side salads. Perfect meal for today. The girl at the front who took our order seemed really shy but sweet. She took our order quickly we got our food pretty fast too. It got sort of busy after we sat down but everyone ordered to go. So just a nice lunch date with my beautiful daughter today. We had a nice time and ate so well. I really enjoyed my warm miso soup, the yakisoba noodles were chewy and tasty. We enjoyed the 6 pot stickers I ordered too. Thank you for our delicious meal and good service. It's like fast food Japanese that tastes pretty good we enjoy it. I recommend trying it if you haven't for a quick easy meal. Parking lot is always packed since they have a lot of different places to eat or get drinks. Teriyaki chicken plate was served warm with very little sauce. Asked for more and was given a container of refrigerated sauce. When I asked if they had any warm sauce was told sorry we don't. I don't want to put cold gel like sauce on my lukewarm chicken. If I was at home fine I'll warm it up myself but I was eating it there. I usually grab lunch here and the food and service are always great. That's why I decided to bring my family for dinner, but honestly, it felt like a totally different place. The food was still good, but the service was terrible. The cashier (Asian guy) was super rude and not welcoming at all. I had brought my elderly grandmother (as a treat from her senior home) and she wanted to order herself. She asked if he spoke Spanish since her english is a bit rusty from her health issues. I have been going here for 10 years! I don't know what happened but our visit today... I couldn't eat the sushi. It was horrible. tempura was greasy and some of the vegetables uncooked. Rice was cold and they used to give a decent amount of rice! Nope that's over. We spent about 50 bucks. it was money down the drain. The bathroom! oh the toilet seat is broken and the sink doesn't shut off. No toilet paper and couldnt get a paper towel. Go anywhere just keep going. This used to be great and now it's a slum. Unfortunately not enough to make up for the subpar meal. Ordered the Shrimp Tempura Udon. The tempura came packaged with the noodles, so the (miniscule) shrimp was a slimy, gloppy mess before it ever hit the bland, flavorless broth, which tasted like nothing more than brownish salt water. Not enough green onion to even merit mentioning it on the menu as an inclusion. The fish cake was wafer thin, yet still somehow the texture of a hockey puck. Utterly disappointing. Well, unfortunately, today was my last day at my company located in the Yorba Linda, CA area. I found this place on Yelp and actually went twice this week. First time, I ordered the chicken breast cutlet lunch and I have to say, what a deal. It was a lot of food for less than $9. It had two pieces of the chicken, a veggie skewer, rice, and a big container of the oriental and sumi salad. The chicken was thin which made a good crunch with the coating. A couple of days later, I went back, I ordered the Washington Roll which is basically a California Roll with salmon on top. I didn't think it was going to be enough food so I was ordering regular udon. But then the lady asked if I wanted the soup and salad with the roll, which was part of it. WOW. I said no to the udon. Located in a strip mall next to a Boba store and Rubio's this joint to me is a Japanese fast food restaurant equivalent to an In-n-out if you know what I mean. The menu is pretty comprehensive from sushi rolls to chicken teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, and etc. I'd elect not to eat sushi but come here mostly for the bowls and plates. They give you very big portions whether it's the protein, rice, or salad, and the food tastes clean. I particularly like how they pack the amount of salad in a separate container! My favorite salad is the sumi salad with that crunchy texture and sweetness but the garden salad is great too. Service is ok but there is an older lady that seems a bit grumpy on the phone or in person. Overall though the food, price, and speed of service make up for it! Nice. read more

GREAT value and food quality is pretty good! If I want a "safe" place to eat at in the area, this is probably one of my go to places! Staff is pretty friendly, prices are decent, and food is not bad as well. FOOD *Beef Combo platter with tempura and side salad (both salads are delicious but I prefer the oriental salad over the sumi salad - or you can do half & half!) *Udon is pretty basic but you can't go wrong here. The noodle consistency is about right and the broth isn't too salty. This is a "safe" dish for sure. *Side salad portion use to be a lot larger in serving size and the price was also lower before - I swear the price has gone up a few bucks but the portion is either smaller or at best the same :( *Sushi is just okay, there are other places for better quality sushi since I consider this more of a teriyaki-style fast food restaurant SERVICE *Staff here is very quick and they've never messed up any of my orders. If you don't want to wait, they even take orders over the phone! PARKING *Bunch of parking available but it can get busy in the early evening/after work. I've ordered take out multiple times over the phone or in person, and the workers here are fast, courteous, and the order is correct every time. When my husband and I can't figure out what to eat, this place is our go-to. We normally get 2 beef bowls and 1 california roll, and total comes out to about $20. The beef is so delicious here - very tender, not burnt and very flavorful. The california rolls are my husband's favorite. Lots of crab meat and overall the flavor is on point, even better than some expensive Japanese restaurants we've visited. I always ask for their spring leaf salad instead of the sumi salad, and they're generous with their servings. Probably one of my favorite salads! While totally understandable, they've seemingly raised their prices way more than others while their quality has remained the same. They were never known for having the best food, but their California rolls, tempura, rice, salmon and beef consistently hit the spot and were a great value. We especially liked their family meals and ordered them often for parties.
