Ordered five fried rice trays for a potluck, and they were a hit! I called in my order, and everything was ready for pickup in about 15 minutes. When I arrived, the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure I had plenty of hot sauce to go with the order, which I really appreciated. The fried rice was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Very nice place for chinese/korean cuisine! I got the mapo tofu, the kkanpunggi chicken, and the jjangmyun. The mapo tofu was okay, the tofu cubes are soft and easy to eat. And there are little bits of pork that is thrown in there too. The savory/saltiness is just right in this dish. Easily feeds 2 or 3 people. This dish comes with a cup of rice and you can ask for more if you need it. The kkanpunggi chicken was my favorite i think. The chicken was fried really well. The batter was crunchy on the outside, yet had a slight chewy texture to it that added a fun textural experience. The sauce that it comes with is a little sweet and very slightly spicy. The jjangmyun was good too. The few times i've tried jjangmyun at other places, the black bean sauce was more liquid-y and a little more sweeter. But this place made it more savory and the sauce was not as liquid-y. The noodles had a fun soft and slightly chewy texture to it The restaurant space is sort of small, and is a nice place to get something quick and easy to eat without much fuss. The space is clean and nice. Service was fine. If you want to order more things, you might need to flag down the employees there. Tried out this spot with my friend and the first thing we noticed when we walked in was that EVERY table had ordered the Jiajang (noodles with black bean sauce with pork and onions) and their Sweet and Sour Pork Special with chunks of fried pork stacked high in golden crispy goodness! So yeah, of course we had to at least order those two dishes and added some kung pao shrimp to cover the Chinese part of the menu that they claimed and that dish was spot on as well! I love these kinda of places that offer fresh food with fast, friendly service with generous portions and reasonable prices in a casual environment. This is definitely a Korean take on Chinese dishes. I ordered the wonton soup and it was far from what I expected. They used har gow instead of actual wontons. The soup base reminded me more of a bitter melon soup base than a traditional wonton soup base. I think I was just thrown off entirely, if they named it something else altogether, it would've been better. It tasted fine. I liked that it was freshly and immediately prepared, served piping hot. It was not overly salted and mild flavored; I added Sriracha sauce which I did not mind. The noodles were quite stuck together - scissors were necessary! Good amount of sauce provided which had chunks of pork (minimal), onion, and I think zucchini bits? This place is pretty good, considering there aren't very many Asian restaurants in the North OC area. It's a Korean and Chinese fusion restaurant with a wide variety of dishes. We tried the sweet n sour pork and jjajong (black bean) noodles. The sweet n sour pork was a bit soggy, but the noodles were great. I only wish the dish had more noodles and less onions, as it became overpoweringly spicy and zesty at the end. Glad this place is here - will have to return soon to try more dishes! read more
