Went here for the first time a few days ago after winning a gift certificate at work months ago. Can't believe it took us that long, because it was delicious. I knew this place would have great beer once i saw the location. If you don't know, all great beer is brewed in office building complexes like this one. Their ambiance is great, I feel like I'm right next to the brewmaster, shoulder shoulder, cranking out these beers cuz you can see the big ol metal tanks right as you drink! I haven't tried a beer on their tap list that i wouldn't wanna buy a case of! Their service is so friendly as well! Feels like i'm always being taken care of real well in here. What a great spot that does everything right! I've visited a couple times now and Ancestry Brewing has really solidified itself among the best brew-pubs in the Portland area. First off the beer is tasty and varied, offering something for everyone. Lately I've been on the Hazy train and they do not disappoint with stellar brews. The food is equally enticing, with Wagyu Kobe beef burgers that are really killer. And trust me when I tell you to spend the extra $ and get the Twisters with the bacon beer cheese on the side...you'll thank me for it! Let's not forget mention they're incredibly kid friendly, and the service is just plain awesome. Yes, this location is a bit isolated, but the trek is worth the effort. I will preface this by saying I was freezing the entire time I was here, so I think that negatively impacted my experience. This was mostly my fault since I didn't have a jacket, but the heaters outside really weren't doing much to help me out. The beer was great! I didn't try any food. This place is as good as ever! This time I tried the WHICH CAME FIRST SANDWICH and oh man! This sandwich is SO TENDER. The chicken is cooked perfectly each time I've had it. The brown sugar Buffalo marinade has just a little "zippy" spice to it. The employees are nice and always helpful. read more

Very disappointed. Showed up at 801pm. Places closes at 9pm. We were told immediately that theyre about to close and if we are eating we neee order right away. This is an hour before close on a Saturday night?! Food came fast and was on table by 815pm. But as we were getting our food they were putting chairs on all the tables next to us and claiming last call?!? Can't imagine the owner would be happy about this. Great brewery | Great service $$ First time coming here and it won't be the last! We just moved to Wilsonville and we're starting to check out local breweries near us. I ordered the Irish Stout. Wow - so smooth and light! Definite favorite of mine. My husband ordered their Belgian Amber, which was another good one. I also ordered their Durham Grilled Chicken Sandwich while my husband enjoyed their Ancestry Burger. YUM. Chicken was tender and juicy with a light/mild spice. The last couple times we've visited, the food hasn't been nearly as good as it used to be. Dry reuben, shrinking potions, and overall just not great. And the 3-chili hot wings taste like cheap, gross chipotle seasoning mixed with sambal. Not particularly enjoyable for me. And either the beers hardly ever change or when they do change, we aren't there, then they change back again to what they were before. It breaks my heart to write a review like this especially seeing how this has been one of my favorite beer pubs since it's founding. Ancestry is lucky to have a smaller outdoor seating area for some of those rare yet hot Oregon summer days. I have a golden retriever that comes with me everywhere during the hot months to enjoy his time outside and for myself to enjoy some sun as well. When I came up to Ancestry to enjoy a beer and some food I was met with a sign that says "no pets allowed". I understand this is completely up to the business on this rule but found it a little disheartening especially seeing how they are a local brewery and have an outdoor space. Unfortunately during the summer when I have my dog I guess my business will be lost and taken elsewhere. read more

Really enjoyed my food here. Always appreciate when I can order off the kids menu if I'm just not that hungry (was with hubby and kiddo and they were both really hungry). Now here you will find a really good burger and some great beer. And that just about sums it up: good burgers and great beer. What more do you want? Just get you here. The problem with Ancestry is is that the food and beer is so good that the place is always crowded especially at the usual popular times (Friday night dinner for example). They offer outdoor seating weather permitting which helps. They also offer seating for singles at the bar. If you're dining alone, this can be your secret advantage. The dining room is always crowded and noisy. It's ringed by TV screens with sports on. The service is adequate. The environment is decidedly casual. Ancestry is immediately in Tualatin-Sherwood Road which is often congested. There is good parking. I wouldn't describe Ancestry as child-friendly. Give advanced notice, they can accommodate large groups. In conclusion: I can only say it again, good burgers and great beer. read more

Visiting OR w 5 families, we came in w over 30 people, kids included. We were seated right away and service was fast. Food came in later, since we had such a huge party. I had the veggie burger and a flight of craft beers. Waitress was very nice and quick. Food was good. The flight of beers are ok. I felt the stouts and the Hazy pale beers were ok. The standout beer was the North Beast, it was the best of the lot. I give it 3 stars for the fast svc, good food and accommodations (30+ peeps). Beer can be better and service can be a little faster. Overall a very good experience. This place only opened 3 days ago, but, has served a real good experience for our visit. Not bad at all. I have been in restaurant since 1986 and am a fine dining server. My son took me out to dinner where his girlfriend also works. I was unsure at first as the menu was quite small. I ordered a half portion of the dinner salad & it was delicious. Vanessa nailed it on my beer the "Dark Storm" when I described what I like in a beer. My son ordered the Reuben sandwich & I ordered the USS CANBERRA BURGER! Smoked Gouda, bacon, grilled mushrooms & their house made burger sauce. When it arrived it was presented on a fluffy moist incredible homemade burger bun, which in my opinion put the already amazing complex of flavors over the top! I was very impressed. Industrial style pub with a convivial atmosphere and soothing view of wetlands. Located right next-door to it's brew warehouse. So it's a good spot to soak up some suds. And they have a really good tap list. Particularly of interest to me are the five IPAs. Just in for lunch so I tried the West Coast IPA and it reminds me of the Breakside flag ship IPA - a robust floral and bitter finish. A big, thick & juicy two-handed burger. It's whopping, 1/3 pounder of Idaho, grass-fed Wagu Kobe with grilled red onions, Tillamook cheddar cheese, juicy bacon on a brioche bun. Delicious whopper! High-quality Beef! Not that CAFO industrial beef chain here! They got a pretty yummy looking menu with 3-grass fed burgers --- but boy --- I love clamping down on good grass-fed burger! I like the way that Ancestry pays attention to detail and quality with its brews and grub and the look inside its pub. I'll be back again real soon! read more

Amazing! The food was absolutely delicious. The Rueben was so perfectly made. Meat was thinly sliced with the perfect amount of sauerkraut and cheese with sauce. The bread was perfectly toasted. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their sweet potatoe lattice fries just melt in your mouth and so do their regular fries. The bacon beer cheese twisters are SO good. Wonderfully cut potatoes and the cheese has a delicious flavor. The beer! Love the beer! Got a flight of six. Cream ale. Pale whale. Aussie hazy. American brown. Dopplebock. And imperial stout. Loved all of them. Great flavors. Smooth tasting. Aromatic. So much flavor! Went very well with our meal. 10/10 would highly recommend visiting. Service was also timely and friendly! Our second time here and still wonderful service, food and beer choices. We arrived at 8:15pm and were concerned if the kitchen was preparing to close since they closed at 9:oopm. Excellent bar food. We had the hummus app, I had the Benton Garden Burger and my husband had the Sherwood Pita. All of our food was very well seasoned and at perfect temperatures. We did not expect to be "wowed" but we were. We sat at the community table since we did nor have reservations. We were treated like we had a separate table all to ourselves.
