I would like to let those considering a body shop option to choose Anderson Auto Body & Paint in Ashland. I have used them for some body work on my son's car and they provided a quote & date to come back in, within a few minutes. The work was done well and my son was very happy with his car being finished so quickly and without delays. Most recently, I went in to have Chris look at my noisy driver's door. He assessed that it needed tightening & some lubing & with his few minutes of attention, the squeak disappeared! I am so happy not to have this sound and Chris was able to identify the issue and fix within a few short minutes. I asked Chris what the charge would be and he said that it was not necessary to pay for his efforts. I really appreciated this nice and surprising gesture that other shops or dealers might have handled differently and wanted to share this good news with others. I was referred to Anderson Auto Body by a family friend. I needed to have the tailgate on my 2017 RAM truck replaced and painted...really simple, no brainer, right? After I received my estimate from Aurel, I called the next day to book an appointment. Aurel told me he would check on parts availability and call me back. A week went by and no phone call from Aurel. I called again to try to book an appointment ... and I was told again that they are checking on the parts. WTF... it is a simple tailgate for a RAM pickup. After I got tired of waiting around for a week and a half for Anderson to call me back and book an appointment... I took my truck to Apland's in Medford. I do not understand why checking on parts would takes over a week... I'm guessing my business was not that important to them. I would not recommend this shop to anyone! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will give my review on Apland's after the work is completed on my truck. read more

First the good: The car repair, granted it's a simple bumper dent looks just fine. The meh: it took several days longer than expected and they did not communicate at all unless we reached out but things happen and I can take this in stride. The egregious: They charged $1200 more than they quoted less than 24 hours before pickup, Chris hung up on me when I inquired via phone and Aurel (owner? manager) admits in writing he has no idea where Chris got the number for the quote and that he'll refund the difference and now refuses to reply. Needless to say we have no choice but to both report to Better Business Bureau as well as dispute the charge with our credit card company. Unbelievable. read more

At a loss to understand the good reviews. My car was not repaired correctly and I had to pay for shoddy repairs. The owner is angry, and aggressive, to the extent that I was afraid of dealing my car's issues as a woman alone at their office. I was constantly threatened to just pay and leave: which I had to do. I paid for repairs that were not done. I was also told that I should have paid for the time I left that car there--which I had previously specified--and that the repair office was not a taxi service (even though I used them as they said they would pick me up). Local women please don't use a dealership that makes women grossly uncomfortable when they take issue with any problem with the car, and boyfriends/husbands pls don't put them at risk of not being able to express dissatisfaction that their cars have not been repaired. This is a shop that should probably not be in business in a town such as Ashland. read more

My goodness! They gave me an estimate and it was correct to the penny. Dropped my car off on a Monday and it was done three days later exactly when they said it would be. Perfect job, in fact, they threw in an additional repair that they spotted later FOR FREE. When I came to pick up my car, it was washed, the interior had been cleaned, there was a box of chocolates on the front seat and the invoice came with a card that said the company had paid to have a tree planted for me as a thank you for doing business with them. Talk about going the distance! Very, very happy with these folks. Will surely use them again. read more

Anderson Autobody is the best! I've used them a few times in the last ten years and their work has always been excellent and done on time. In addition, their staff is pleasant and professional which makes having you car worked on less stressful. Today, Chris and Andrew helped me out with an issue with my 1997 VW Eurovan. While having to visit an auto body shop isn't on the top of my list of things to do, there are occasions that other people decide your car would look better with a crunch, dent, ding or scratch. It is during those times that it is helpful to have a place like Anderson Auto Body around to get. I've used a few local auto body and towing services in the valley and have always come away with a bit of a bad taste (usually delays, excuses and additional expenses for one thing or another). I really regret having Anderson repair my car after an accident. They took multiple weeks longer than they originally said to fix it. They never communicated with me so I was having to call them with little to no response while they had my car. Then when it was finally done about 4-6 weeks after they originally told me it would be done they hadn't done all the repairs that were from the accident. When my insurance contacted them to stand behind the work they did they refused to fix it. There is an honest auto body shop across the street that will go above and beyond. Anderson's does the minimal work, uses after market products, has bad communication, and then does not stand behind their work. Super disappointed! read more

An absolute joy to do business with, I would never hesitate to continue using Anderson for any and all my body shop needs. I have a big, beautiful truck. Under the front bumper is a large rubber/plastic facia that got pushed in when it lost a fight with a boulder. Nothing on the truck was scratched and as I was thinking about trying to bang it back into shop myself I noticed some of the hardware holding it in place was snapped off. Having reached an age where I try to learn from my mistakes I knew I'd just make it worse. I was a bit worried that was too small a job, that they'd insist on replacing the part which probably cost hundreds of dollars. Much to my delight under half a day, a ride home and for a fraction of what I was concerned about and my truck looks brand new. This was my second visit, the first was much more severe a repair but in each case I left 100% satisfied and pleased that I'd decided to use this company. read more

We recently had the pleasure of being given great service and excellent repair work done by Anderson Auto Body. They were efficient, friendly, and did beautiful work. They gave us a great quote that was significantly less than another body shop in town. They also gave us a surprise treat when we picked up our car! It is so wonderful to have my car back good as new! My only request for a change in the future would be to ask about the fragrance that is placed in the car after the car has been washed, vacuumed, and buffed. It was toxic smelling and my wife, son, and I all felt a little nauseous after driving for a bit in the car. We would have liked the option to decline on the fragrance or a non-toxic kind. While driving my four year old red Prius slowly in a Medford parking lot, a driver of a Toyota truck crashed into my left front fender, smashing my headlight, turn signal, front panel...etc... I drove straight to Anderson, knowing they would take care of everything. They did.....found the battery had been dented & replaced it. They took it to Les Schwab to have alignment checked. And returned my car to me shiny & clean, all fixed up....& a little box of local chocolates to sweeten the episode. All through the guys there were pleasant, helpful & informative. Yet another experience of dealing with my car and being treated like I'm an idiot because I'm a woman. (Also would like to point out, I never actually got work done here. Only had an estimate) Here's a bit of my story: I have an old Honda Accord, and got in an accident back in February (2015) and the whole front of the car was shredded (still ran though, luckily). I got the front replaced with new parts and such, but need(ed) to get it painted because the parts don't have sealant so they are oxidizing and it's really bad for them. But as an added "bonus" (not really), my driver door needs some body work because it's still a little dented, and also missing the side moulding. Yes, you might say, "oh well why don't you just buy a new car, that car isn't worth all the money you are spending/have spent on it." Yeah well this is the best car ever and I'm not giving it up. Now, here is what they told me. They said that in order to do the body work on the door, they need to remove the entire door (which I know isn't true. YOU CAN LITERALLY JUST BANG OUT THE DENTS. COME ON), which of course means more labor hours, which means that in itself would be, like, $500. Cha-ching. And then he gave me all the talk about what kind of paint, blah blah (which I also already knew what kind of paint I needed). Oh, also... After fixing the car, and everything was ship-shape (almost), I hit a tire on the freeway, which knocked the right side fender out of place, making the passenger door scrape against it every time you opened/closed it. Very annoying. So when I told him about that, he of course gave another ridiculous estimate (can't remember what it was) which was for removing the hood and the fender. And also, my fender liner was missing (which I didn't even notice, honestly. That one was my bad). So, I had told him I wanted those little things fixed, and I wanted the whole car painted (because I'm really vain, and I want my car to look good). He gave me an estimate of $6,000. When I looked at the paper he gave me, I just looked at him and went, "...Are you serious." I'm no car expert, but even I know that's just stupid. For the record, I took it to a friend of a friend up in Eugene and his estimate for all the same stuff, PLUS REPLACING THE STRUTS, was under $3,000. Oh, and I watched him fix the fender that got knocked out of place. Took under five minutes. I will never come here again. I hate being ripped off. And it sucks because I read all the reviews on this place and they were all good, and was hopeful about finally getting my car done. The one extra star I gave was for how genuinely nice and professional the guy was. read more

Took my car in to get an estimate. The staff was very friendly, took a few pictures of my car, and I was on my way with an estimate in less than ten minutes. When I got around to actually having the car fixed, I brought it in one morning, they gave me a FREE loaner car to use while they had mine, which was a total lifesaver, and I got my car back good as new just 3 1/2 days later. I hit an animal with my Toyota Corolla and there was a lot of damage. Anderson's was recommended to me and I'm so happy that I took my car there, they explained all the body work that was needed and went through what they had ordered and why. I brought my elderly minivan here after being rear-ended (and then rear-ending the person in front of me). The folks at Anderson were straight shooters 100% of the time, told me everything they were doing or thought they would need to do, and took pictures to document all the work, which was meticulously performed. They also detailed the inside of my car before handing it back over. About a month after bringing it home, a heavy rain left the rear carpet soaking wet. I brought it back into them thinking perhaps a door seal had been poorly reinstalled. They tested out the car, discovered that the seals in and around the taillights were worn out, and replaced them and re-caulked the space between the lights and the body, all at no cost. To the best of my knowledge, they hadn't touched those lights in the course of the original repair, so all of that work was a very generous bonus. I can't recommend them highly enough if you happen to need body work in Ashland. read more

Noticed some scratches on the rear quarter-panel of a rental car, wanted to see what it would take to fix things. Called them, they said "Happy to take a look - bring it over". I did, they looked, and said "Let's buff it out a bit and see what we have." One of the guys did a *solid* job on the buffing, that was all it took, and they said "No charge - have a great day!" While I was watching the work being done I looked around the shop - tile floors (easy to clean, easy to see stuff on), paint room, *very* clean and tidy shop. I had my front bumper upper apron replaced. When I went to pick up my vehicle, the pin striping was missing. Afterwards, I started noticing that the bumper started popping out of the clips on one side. I went in and showed it to them and they said that they needed to get in a new clip. Since I was leaving for a long business trip, they asked me to remind them to order it when I returned. I told them I only had a short window to get it done, since I would be moving out of state after I got back. They said no problem. When I returned, I went in to remind them. They told me that they had to find a part and would call me when it came in and they would take care of it. Guess what? No calls and no follow-up. Since I was consumed with moving chores, I had no time to manage them and they totally dropped the ball. I ended up moving with none of the issues addressed due to their lack of follow-through. What started as a good customer experience ended up as a poor one. read more

Love these guys! They fixed a crunchy scratch on the passenger side rear tire area on my VW bug--good as new. What I was most impressed with was their customer service; always kept me in the loop and when they called to tell me they had underestimated some of the work they didn't charge me! Unheard of! They did a very practical repair, and my car is street legal and looks pretty good. My total cost of repairs was only $630.00. They even waxed my car and cleaned my tires. Service was very friendly. Snow and ice made for a slippery day, and we went sliding into a parked vehicle. Our mechanic recommended Anderson and we called, were told to COME ANYTIME. so we did, and they took the car right in, gave us a lift to Al's for lunch, picked us up an hour later, sent us home with a perfectly repaired door and a box of yummy gourmet chocolates.
