Andy's is our new favorite go-to when we are wanting something sweet. My husband loves their rootbeer freezes and he can't find them anywhere else, so this is a huge bonus point to going to Andy's! I personally love their dirt cups and even though it's technically on the kid's menu section, they make an adult size for me. The staff are always very friendly and quick. We've never had a bad experience coming here. Top tier service! There's a pretty big menu with lots of choices. I like that you can either walk up to the counter and enjoy your icecream at one of the outside tables or go through the drive-thru for a quick stop. I have been going to Andy's since its opening. All of the staff are so nice. I always try to leave a comment with management e very time I visit. Today I was heartbroken to find that one of the managers that I usually speak with was terminated. He was always professional and had a wonderful demeanor. When I was purchasing my ice cream, the staff seemed sad and the environment was different. I do hope the owners as I understand this is a franchise realize we are among difficult times and its hard to find good managers. Took my son yesterday to get an old fashioned soda which on the menu says it comes with seltzer or soda of your choice and choice of syrup. Get to the window to order and the girl had no idea what I was talking about. She said we couldn't choose the soda and that we couldn't add cherry syrup. lol. She told us what we wanted was a float (which I knew was wrong because we've gotten the old fashioned soda before). Anyway, as not to be a nuisance my son said he would take a Sprite float. I asked her if she could add cherry syrup she said no. I said so you can't add syrup to the Old fashioned soda or the float and she stood there looking totally lost. I spent 6.00 for a small cup of ice cream with Sprite that was just ok. PLEASE either have her learn the menu or remove her from the window. She made ordering super frustrating. Stopped by on a weekday afternoon and I'm so glad I stopped in! Very friendly staff, the menu has a lot to choose from which is wonderful but I was not sure which yummy item to try. The gentleman at the window was so helpful and I went with something chocolate-y with marshmallow added in. Absolutely delicious! Stopped here thinking they had food (like hot dogs/fries). Pulled up to the drive thru menu and realized they only serve custard. But hey, they serve really good custard. I love the ice cream but the service leaves something to be desired. We came at night to cheer up a friend and not only did the worker get our order wrong he also rolled his eyes when we corrected him. he was very impatient when explaining how sprinkles couldn't be mixed in for cups. First visit to this new-ish outlet of Andy's. Everything is nice and clean. The store is well staffed. Service quick and friendly. Frozen custard is delicious as always. Creamy and dense. Andys is typically great! I get ice cream here around 2 times a week but today it was awful I was missing one of my toppings from my concrete that I paid for. I ordered a medium and got a small in a medium cup ( it was about 3/4ths full usually it is over flowing) and to add a cherry on top my cream wasn't even blended. Who ever the crew was on June 14th around 9pm needs some more training. read more

Came in at 8pm on a Saturday ordered drive through gave my code for the app and girl didn't say anything. She Asked what the orders are and ordered straw Anna doesn't look like the picture no strawberry syrup, Ordered James brown Jackhammer and peach dream concrete and vanilla cone the cone was sour. They didn't give me the receipt. I reminded her of the code and said "we can only put it after you order ". The service here has gone way down since it opened. I absolutely love their custard the best I've had and it's clean and fresh. The service is great by Kelsey and Tanner. I will admit I have had a couple of issues but Kelsey fixed the problem right away. Other than not having enough people during certain times and beings new. It will all work out. I visit there at least three times a week. I love the general manager and assistant Tanner and a couple other staff members who I can't remember their name but are a good team like I said there has only been two hiccups and that was not with any of them. Drive through staff was unprofessional and rude. Did not understand simple orders. Was charged for more then what I ordered and when a manager stepped in he did not know how to handle the situation. They even got what I actually ordered wrong and gave us problems with remaking it. They charge us for four when we ordered three. Only hand us three and somehow cannot comprehend why they need to refund the fourth concrete we did not order or receive. To top it all off I hand them the receipt to show them where they made a mistake and they refused to give it back. I have worked in fast food/customer service before so I understand certain situations; but this experience today was not acceptable. read more

DRIVE THRU - UGHHHHH! Ok, so this was our first time trying this place. My partner and I got a small Build Your Own Cup with 3 toppings each. The total was a little over $16, i believe. When I got my cup there was probably a drizzle of caramel in it, which I could see smeared across the side of the cup. I asked the young guy at the window if I could just have a little more caramel. You could clearly see I needed more, and when my partner was given their cup it was even less caramel than what I had! So he proceeds to yell to those making the orders, "she wants more caramel, she says it's not enough!" He acts as if it's cool for me to receive more, until a lady (I'm assuming a manager or supervisor, etc.) walks over to the register, never acknowledging us might I add, and begins keying something on the register. She is saying something to him in a whisper, then he proceeds to say (with the cup of caramel in his hand), "yeah, it'll be $1.24!" I said I have to pay for more when it's clearly not a lot in my cup?! He says "yes!" I said no I'm not doing that and we drove off! You mean to tell me that instead of providing a great customer experience you'd rather lose TWO potential regulars?! Unbelievable! I could see if I asked for a refund, more of a premium topping, or more custard! I was literally only looking for a little more caramel. We won't be returning and I'm going to share my experience with anyone I can! I work in HR for a global company, so ethics and fairness is at my core! I wouldn't have asked for more caramel had I not experienced such scarcity in my cup! I'm always looking for ways to put money back into our community. Just last week I attended one of our local corporate events that had breakfast, lunch, and dessert catered! The dessert was indeed ICE CREAM from a local ice cream shop! It's these types of opportunities businesses miss out on when trying to nickel and dime those who attempt to support their establishments! Needless to say, the custard was outstanding! The toppings were yummy and fresh! The overall taste gave us exactly what we were looking for in terms of taste and sweetness, it was truly well balanced. The Scoop on Andy's. My first visit, I asked for The Blueberry Ice cream on a cone. NO it only comes in a quart. I next asked for a vanilla ice cream cone. Sorry Vanilla not ready. Chocolate was only available. The couple behind me walked away with vanilla.. I had the Yellow Scoop. Whatever that means. The scoops are small. Ice cream melted quickly. I did not enjoy. My friends drove up to the window. They request Butter Pecan on a cone. Sorry can not do do. Has to be a concrete.. can you believe a Ice cream store with only vanilla and Chocolate cone. The waffle cone not so tasty. Wish I had gone to Some place other than Andy's. Not the same Andy's on Eldorado Rd in McKinney Texas. Waffle cone with to small scoops amounted to $4.95.
