I utilized the drive thru on this visit. Service was fast and friendly. It was hard to choose between a concrete, a jackhammer or a sundae. I always have great customer service here. The drive-through does take a long time. I highly recommend just parking your car and going up to the window. There's hardly ever anyone outside and you typically get your order within a few minutes. Versus in the drive-through, it usually takes about 15 or more minutes at this location. Sometimes they will have an employee sitting outside taking orders before getting to the window but it's not like a typical drive-through where you order at the menu you have to wait till you get to the window in order which in my opinion causes the longer wait times I highly recommend getting one with cookie dough. Brownie is a weird combination, but very good together and I always ask for extra brownie or cookie dough. read more

I never thought I'd write a review like this for Andy's. This used to be one of my favorite places--my boyfriend and I would go all the time, and it always felt like such a happy little tradition. The custard was delicious, the vibes were great, and it honestly just felt like a comfort place. But recently... it's been different. I had an experience a while back where my order never came out, even after a long wait and several trips to the window. A sweet girl eventually apologized and told me my next treat would be on the house, which made me feel better--until I came back and no one had any record of that conversation. I tried explaining what happened, but I was met with confusion and what felt like zero empathy. I left that night in tears, which felt so silly at the time--but I think it just hurt more than I expected it to. Since then, I've gone back a few times hoping things would feel like they used to. But the kindness and friendliness that once made Andy's so special just don't seem to be there anymore. Today, one employee whispered an order and when I didn't hear it, another walked up, screamed it in such an aggressive way, and rolled her eyes at me. It was honestly just humiliating. I'm not trying to bash the place. I'm not even angry. I'm just really sad. It's hard when something you loved and looked forward to starts to feel uncomfortable and disappointing. I know some people will say, "Just don't go then," and maybe they're right. But when you move to a new place and find a little spot that feels like home... it's hard to let go of that. Hooray! The new Andy's is finally open. Of course, it's January and what better time for some frozen custard? Hubby and I stopped by for a quick treat while running errands. He got a couple scoops of chocolate custard and I went with vanilla. The chocolate is a rich, deep flavor that says, "Hey, I'm not messin' around here." And for those folks who love the metaphor "plain vanilla" as a way to say bland, go try some Andy's vanilla frozen custard. Its creamy-smooth texture and luscious vanilla flavor will make you rethink your metaphors--or at least be more selective in where you get your frozen treats. I can't wait to go back for more scoops. I ordered a medium Oreo concrete for my girlfriend and I to split tonight. Got home and found there was basically 1 Oreo broken into a few chunks in a regular vanilla ice cream. Barely any Oreo, and there was almost no effort to mix in the little Oreo that was there. It was very disappointing, because the oreo pieces are my girlfriend's favorite part. I looked at the menu for a bit, waiting for somebody to take my order before I realized I had to drive to the window to place my order. So I guess people have to memorize their entire order? This used to be my favorite location - but every time I've gone as of late, the iced tea is pretty much undrinkable. It's far too strong - and by the time you add enough ice/water to dilute it, it isn't sweet anymore. The formula was always a bit unstable - no two teas were ever exactly the same. But it always tasted like Andy's sweet tea. I still love this location, but I feel like I can't go back anymore because the sweet tea has been so terrible lately. read more

This was my first visit and I got the Nutty waffle crunch concrete. It was basically a cup full of melted chocolate chips with a slight amount of melted vanilla custard drizzled on it. It was about 95:5 topping to ice cream ratio. It was so strong I had to throw it out after a few bites. And my husband's sundae topping looked like thawed frozen strawberries, all watery and mushy. This is a great location and everything is great. Drive can be slow and same with walk up and sometimes soupy but I can understand that with it being hot and trying to get orders in. This still is amazing and truly worth it. Have had a few problems with mess ups but the staff has always been gracious enough to re make it.
