Tried this newer hidden gem off the highway after receiving one of those flyer packs in the mail. My first impression was it was just a market with a few items they may cook but was I wrong. Although there are only a few booths to accommodate patrons, you can gaze at the large menu & variety of items one can get. I tried the pick four combo type platter which consisted of Catfish, Shrimp, Flounder and Trout. All were fried to perfection! Two sides, a biscuit & soda ran about 18 dollars. However, I am a big eater and couldn't finish it. There were two pieces of each type of fish & about a dozen or more of large shrimp. All items were very fresh. The biscuit I would pass on next time and the tartar sauce needs a little tweaking to make it better.Just make sure you take the skin off for those fish that have it for those whom do not know. Really can't wait to go back & try a sloppy crab sandwich. The staff there is A+ and extremely pleasant. I was surprised if the stream of patrons they had for takeout. Parking may become an issue but I was told they were relocating several months down the road. I think they will benefit from the move, In the meantime, enjoy! I did not take any fresh uncooked fish home this trip but they also had a nice variety in their market. 5 stars? Why not? So far so good! read more

My husband and I have been buying seafood from A'Nets for a few years now. We haven't actually eaten in the restaurant, just purchased fresh fish from the counter to cook at home. We are always pleased with the selection, pricing and quality of the seafood. The crabcakes are also delicious! My only criticism would be that the staff isn't exactly helpful - a few times I've asked questions about how to prepare certain fish and I'm usually met with shrugs. Food is pretty good and staff is seriously the friendliest I've ever experienced. But... calamari was a little over fried and a ton of little pieces of friend batter. Even scallops were a bit over grilled. We do like the place and will hopefully try again. read more

Decided to finally stop by this seafood spot and I'm so glad that I did. I've been in search of some good seafood in the area and I must say that A'Nets Katch is my favorite after just one visit. I had their 'Shrimp and Grtiz' for myself and 'Young Pikes' shrimp plate for my daughter to try. I was not disappointed. The place is clean, friendly staff, quick service, and the best tasting seafood I've had in Wake County. Definitely will return to try other items on the menu. read more

I recommend not getting the whiting/trout. We got a family pack and one of the types of fish was full of bones. We pulled about 50 bones out all told. Crab cakes were fluffy, flavorful and moist. Corn muffins had jalapeno and were good. Mac n cheese was very good. I have to give one star for all the bones i accidentally swallowed. Great lunch specials at low prices compared to other fish fry shacks. Staff is very friendly. A'Nets is a full service fresh fish & seafood market. And as mentioned, they cook to order. It appears they have a lot of loyal customers. I ordered online the flounder fish sandwich special with 1 large fried fillet with 2 grilled buttered bread slices, delicious creamy coleslaw seasoned with dill herb (I love coleslaw but I am really picky about how it is prepared), and dill pickle slice to go. I prefer fish fried with corn meal breading, however if you like flour batter A'Nets is the way to go. In any case I was happy with the meal. Coming straight out the fryer the meal was too hot to eat right away but the food was greasy at all. My order was ready 3 mins. after arriving for pickup. I was in a mood for seafood..My mom and I were on our way to her house in Nash County so we decided to stop in on a Saturday afternoon. There aren't but 4 booths to sit down to eat in.. We arrived at the right time, sat down an reviewed the menu. I stood in line to order once we made our choices. My mom had the senior plate with trout, slaw, corn on the cob, cornbread, & a small drink. I went with the flounder and shrimp combo..corn on the cob, fries, & garlic cheese biscuit. I loved everything about the fish and shrimp..it was totally fresh, seasoned just right and light batter. It was a lot of food with leftovers for the next day. It was worth every penny. The seafood is extremely fresh and I can see myself driving to Knightdale from Cary to pick up fresh seafood to take home and prepare. read more

This place is as good as it gets. Excellent quality fresh seafood prepared to order, with stellar service. The place was hopping the first time we got there and part of the order came late, so they offered us an extra pound of crab legs. They were out of oysters half shell the first time we came, so we had to stop back for a second go before we left. The second time was as good as the first, and the oysters were very fresh and tasty. Also, given the quality of the food, the prices are way lower than expected. Anyway, an excellent place, with the best in service and food. Ordered take-out and the quality of the food and the way it was prepared was abysmal. Everything we received that was ordered to be cooked was over cooked. The appetizer was even terrible and for 8.99 for an order of Calamari, we received a container filled almost entirely of fries and what we ended up with in the way of the Calamari were over cooked and inedible pieces of the whole squid or parts of the leg. I will not dare give this place another dime. I've managed a Seafood Restaurant in the past as well as other food industries and I know food. I know when the food was fried too long or was cooked in old oil and it was both. I'm guessing they're way overdue on cleaning out those fryers! If you want decent seafood for close to what this place charges, drive about ten minutes up 264 towards Raleigh and go to the Farmer's Market Seafood Restaurant. It's calabash style fried seafood for the most part, but their prices are decent and the food's always been en pointe for the prices they charge!!!! I don't appreciate getting terrible food and I feel like I've been robbed and or ripped off when I get bad food. So, heed my warning and beware!!! read more

What a joy this place is! It is a fish market and diner. You can buy fresh raw seafood to take home, buy fresh raw prepared seafood to take home and cook, or already cooked for takeout, or buy to eat in! I was looking for seafood for lunch one day, did a Google maps search and this place comes up in a little business Park behind the fast food row that ironically has a Long John Silvers in it, and I thought "why not". When I got there I thought I messed up because It's a seafood "store". But nope - also a restaurant. And you can pick your seafood out from under the glass of what's for sale and they will then cook it to dine in. And it is sooooo good! You want fried shrimp or scallops - they are perfect. But even better is the staff... So helpful and friendly. Place is tiny (4 booths and that's it) and packed with locals in the know. But most of the traffic I saw was getting take out although I have enjoyed eating in. Anyway - my point it this. You like fried seafood - come here for a real treat. I haven't bought prepared seafood to take home and cook or just raw seafood, but I'm betting it's great to. The prices are very reasonable too. read more
