My usual is same price as the one at The Liquor Store #4. So, Camelot is my next go to place. One thing I have to mention about the parking. Because the lot is huge. Best to park at the building. If you park away from the building, watch out for speedy cars entering from S Braeswood Blvd. Definitely not recommended to walk in the parking lot after dark. It's prone to see accidents happen.

Speaking English and Chinese has gotten me the same exact result, so it's always good to have a game plan before perusing. The other not-so-fun part is the sticker shock. Some of the items here are pretty expensive. To make matters worse, the price is not evident on every bottle or every shelf. One instance where I attempted to pay with credit card, I was asked if I could pay in cash instead. Thankfully, I had enough but somehow I still felt rushed out. But in the end, instead of feeling slighted by my experience, I am still thankful this is an option in the neighborhood. I don't know about their selection versus other similar stores, but with the size and everything, I would have to assume China Place is still one of the better options in town despite some service snafus. The professional women frequent this part of town after dark. I often The Liquor Store #4 but happy to know the original Liquor Store location. But disappointed with what's inside. Looks like a family-owned business. Everyone looked younger than the one on Beechnut. They were friendlier, though. They got lots of fruity spirits. But nothing I wanted. Not even the brand I frequently purchase at the other Liquor Store. About 3 shelves of flavored rum from Bacardi in different sizes. The store has wider aisles compared to the other Liquor Store. Every section is labeled. They got huge cooler by the back wall to store beer and wines. Mask is required to enter, as sign says. But at least one employee was not masked. I guess it's just a Texas thing.
