Service was absolutely horrible. I was there with my two kids a few days before Christmas. We were greeted at the door and shown to our seats and that's about as far as the positive part goes aside from the food. We were seated in the back. We sat there and watched two other customers that came in after us shown to their seat, given drinks, orders taken, and their food brought out to us. I tried multiple times to get some attention, but were completely ignored. The waitress literally passed by us three times to take an order and refill drinks to the table next to us!! Finally our order was taken which was completely wrong!! at this point we just ate it anyways from being so hungry. I'm not a local and tried this place for the first time while I'm here. I must start with: Do yourself a favor and find another restaurant, and here's why. When you call the place, the lady just answered "hello", which is not proper for a business, but hey, It's their business. They don't say where you're calling. Secondly, I place a simple order for pick up and to be ready in 10 minutes. Wrong again. I placed the call at exactly 7:14pm and because I was right around the corner, decided to go up and wait. The pizza was ready 31 minutes later. The place only had 2 tables. Fine, I'm in no hurry and on vacation so I waited. Got the pizza which looked great (on the top anyway), and when I got home to eat it, the bottom is burned. I did ask for crispy crust, so I get it could be a mistake but this is way beyond a mistake. This is simply lack of caring for their food or the customer. They closed at 8pm, so I called to tell them, but nobody would answer. Of course it was 7:52pm and why would a non caring staff give a hoot. While I don't know anyone's name there, I assume the owners were the ones not caring because a young man went in to bother the blonde lady behind the counter about food and desserts. Next was a really young lady waitress who was handling the 2 tables inside. She looked really young, so I'm guessing owners daughter (but I could be wrong). I am a successful business owner (30 years) and what tweaked my shorts was that they didn't answer the phone. If my customer walked in a few minutes before closing, I would treat them properly without rushing them. I never got the chance to speak to anyone. See attached pics. The crust picture is a bit misleading because of my lighting conditions. But it's burnt black. A little black I don't mind if it's a brick oven style, but this isn't. The food was whatever.. it was not horrible but it was also not the best.. the customer service was HORRIBLE! Everyone but one younger lady was rude to us. They had us waiting outside in the cold and when we asked if we could wait at the bar with a drink the hostess was like "no, you got to wait outside for your full party " she was rude and short tempered (and very poorly dressed btw) the guy was a j3rk.. we waited so long for our food. Honest Review of Angel Fired Pizza - Pizza Decent, Customer Service Lacking I've been coming to Angel Fire, New Mexico for a while now. It's a very small town, and there are only a couple of pizza options here. Angel Fired Pizza isn't bad when it comes to the actual food--the pizza is decent, and I'd rate it a solid 4 out of 5. However, the customer service is a different story, and unfortunately, it brings the overall experience down to a 2 out of 5. As someone from Las Vegas who has opened two hotels and worked extensively in the hospitality industry, I know how critical good service is--especially if you want repeat customers or support from both locals and part-time residents like myself. I try to support small, brick-and-mortar businesses in Angel Fire because I understand how important that is to the local economy. That said, it's tough to continue supporting a place when you feel like you're being treated as a second-class citizen just because you're seen as a tourist. On more than one occasion, I was quoted a 40-minute wait for a to-go order, only to arrive and wait another 20 minutes. It makes me wonder if I'm being treated differently because of my out-of-state phone number. There was also a time when it took forever just to get a menu--it felt like they were running with a skeleton crew. I understand labor shortages, but a little acknowledgment or courtesy goes a long way. The prices are a bit steep, but that's expected in tourist areas. I don't mind paying a bit more--as long as the service reflects the value. Unfortunately, it doesn't here. To summarize: * Pizza: 4/5 - pretty good overall * Customer Service: 2/5 - needs serious improvement If you're in a rush or heading to an event like Concerts in the Park, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Went on a Sunday night on December 29, 2025. They were full but the hostess was unnecessarily rude. Refused to put us on the waiting list. I asked if we could be added to the wait list (she had one). She told us and other people that showed up to wait outside in the cold. Did not turn on the heat lamps. I asked multiple times if I could just get added to the wait list. It's sad that such an icon of Angel Fire has fallen so far. I'm not sure when it changed ownership but we've tried them the last three times we've been to AF and it's only gotten worse. The hostess (owner?) has been rude every time and actually turned us away the last time because we arrived 45 minutes to close. ?!?!? Who does that? Well evidently you do if it takes more than 30 minutes to put out an order. And if you do finally get your food it's not the quality it used to be; one crust burned, the other undercooked and doughy, toppings scarce, etc. Pretty much anything that could be wrong with a pizza, they made it happen. Last year when we visited Angel Fire and ate here, the food was great and so was the service, but my husband and I just tried to go back for lunch and were ignored for 25 minutes after we sat down. The service was non existent, we were not offered water, a drink, food, nothing all while the waiter and hostess checked on every table around us, but us. My husband used to work in the restaurant business as a waiter and said this was unacceptable (when I was trying to make excuses that they were just busy). We are very disappointed in the lack of service. We have a property here and visit Angel Fire a lot, but we will not be coming back to this restaurant in the future. read more

Pizza is good, but service is terrible EVERY time we have been there. Waitress is rude! The waiter isn't so nice either. We stood at podium where the sign says "wait here to be seated", she rudely told us she needed us to back up and step outside until there was an open table - although there was an open table that we had to wait about 20 mins for. After waiting awhile I stepped back inside because it seemed we were forgotten. The busboy came very nice and asked if we had been helped... the waitress quickly stepped over and told the busboy "don't worry about them". Then About 5 mins after then she sat us. First taste (and last) was over acidic from way too much lemon. We sent it back and the waiter offered bread sticks as an alternative. We declined and he stated he would take it off the bill. The service was absolutely awful. There were a few customers at the bar and the hostess/waitress was clearly irritated we walked in. She was rude and walked away as we were asking questions. The Italian sandwich had nothing on it and the pasta was undercooked significantly. Promised time was 20 min and it was at least 30 min before getting the pizza but I expected the wait and read a magazine while I waited. Most of our group liked the thin crust, garlicky sauce of Angel Fired, but a few of us preferred the thicker yeasty crust of Pizza Stop. Here for opening weekend of bike park. We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant and found Angel Fire Pizza online. Reviews were generally good but some were scathing bitching about service, food, attitude blah blah blah Our experience was great! Melissa was our server. Got us menus and drinks right away. Came back and took our order. Food is very good. T-Rex pie (meat lovers) was awesome. People were so nice. Amazing views of resort from patio.
