Saturday morning craving after a good walk. I headed over to Angel Donuts in the Calloway shopping center. Easy parking, store had a sweet sugary aroma as I entered the store is very clean well lit with a few small tables. I decided on a certain apple fritter I pointed it out to the friendly owner he smiled, it was delicious and gone before I got back home. The price is right at Angel donuts big selection friendly and little or no waiting Give them a try

Angel Donut Shop is a heavenly delight for any dessert enthusiast. The moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked donuts The selection is sweet(pun intended) and caters to various taste buds.. Each donut I had was worth it, close to donut perfection slightly sweet before the topping added. The classic glazed donuts are a melt-in-your-mouth experience, with a perfect balance of sweetness. The specialty flavors, such as maple bar and Chocolate with nuts (snickers bar anyone) and raspberry-filled, and custard filled ... just ummmmm... The location is just right size , quiet and friendly staff. The donuts are always served fresh. What sets Angel Donut Shop apart is the commitment to dough in every donut is light and airy, and the various toppings are great. if you're not a regular visitor make yourself a first-timer, they will leave you coming back for more. I had 2 of their donuts and 2 donut holes for my cheat day.. but I'm going to bed after this review...see you there!!

We stopped by today to pick up some donuts. We have been wanting to try Angel Food donuts out. It was early afternoon and they are beautifully fresh like they just made them. They are totally delicious and nice and squishy. I can highly recommend them. The employees are very friendly and helpful too. Enjoy these great donuts.

With all the craziness going on right now, we needed a little treat. We don't go out for doughnuts often, but when we do this is our go to place. Hands-down the best doughnuts in town. Great prices and amazing doughnuts! Highly recommend! We started with a dozen, but...

The donuts here are good. Not fabulous, just good. However, someone needs to train the people running this mom and pop store in marketing and merchandising skills. One morning a couple of years back, I attempted to purchase 2 dozen assorted donuts here to take to work with me. I was informed by the person behind the counter that they had a limit on how many donuts I could buy - 1 dozen only. When I asked them why, I was told that they were afraid they would run out of donuts. Seriously? I helpfully assured them that if they ran out of donuts they could close up shop early and relax for the rest of the day, or - heaven forbid - they could make more donuts (and consequently more money). They did not find this amusing. I left with no donuts and had to go find another donut shop to purchase my 2 dozen donuts. I used to drop in and buy single donuts all the time before this incident, but I haven't been back since. In all fairness, though, when I DID buy single donuts there they were pretty good so I felt guilty giving them only 2 stars. So, if you're in the mood for a donut or two - by all means go here. If you'd like to buy donuts for you and your friends, you're going to be taking your chances.

As I was walking I saw the sign for this place and was happy I did because my other coffee options were a fast food restaurant or the famous coffee chain. It was a bit confusing to locate. It was tucked away in the back of a commercial office space type building. Once inside the place was very clean and organized. Very minimalist design. I was only one of 4 total people inside. My order was taken quickly. I ordered an iced americano with a ham and cheese turnover. Coffee was on point. No notes. No complaints. The pastry however was not good. They asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said I did. I saw her put it in the microwave, and I assumed they turned it on. When I bit into it (I had already left and walked across the street) it was cold. Like cold cold. On top of that it was flavorless which made it worse. Stick to the coffee or make sure you check the temp of the food prior to leaving.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. I ordered a lavender latte with oat milk, and it was flavorful but not overly sweet. The food menu is small, with a few baked goods available. As a vegan, the only option I found was instant oatmeal with a selection of dried fruit and nuts to mix in. While I appreciated having a vegan option, I would love to see a few more plant-based choices added to the menu. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely return for the coffee and the comfortable space to meet with friends.

THE GRUB: The Cuban coffee is outstanding, and the Vietnamese iced coffee is one of the best around, actually its the only one around. If im clueless let me in on the Vietnamese coffe you know of...anyhoo If you're looking for a caffeine kick, the cold canned Vietnamese coffee will give you a jolt you wouldn't believe. Food-wise, the Peruvian grilled cheese sandwich was flavorful and well made, but I'd recommend asking for the sauce on the side unless you enjoy a messy sandwich. The ham and cheese croffel had great flavor, but it was a little light on the ham and cheese. I think the cropples are better suited in the sweet variety as they seem small incompressants to a ham and cheese croissant someone would purchase for about half that price. In my opinion, it was more of a kid's snack than a meal and not quite worth the price, if you're actually hungry I would go with something else off the menu. Everything was made fresh , you must be patient here , perfection can be slower than your metabolism, so dont go there hangry. During my visit, Hector explained that he envisions Uncharted Adventures as a gathering place for the community. The business frequently hosts weekend vendor markets and local running clubs. Hector also shared he was creating a dedicated Memorial Day wall honoring local veterans, first responders, and teachers, while also working on an outdoor eating area. It's always great to see a Hector and Chris, and the new Adventures they take on. This is one of the few coffee shops in Bako worth checking out, whether you're stopping in for a coffee, a bite to eat, or a community events theyre hosting give em a visit an introduce yourself. You can thank me later. .Overall I would give everything a four and a half Stars but since Yelp doesn't do half Stars I'll give them a five out of five stars. As they deserve a free half star for all of the Uncharted Adventures that they are a part of...lol get it.. nevermind.. bye for now...

She did offer for me to purchase an iced Vietnamese coffee but that's not what I wanted. I wanted the convenience of purchasing the canned coffee so I could enjoy later in the week. I decided to try their Berry Matcha $8.66 for about 12oz. The price point is definitely higher than Starbucks for 20oz Triple Berry Matcha. The matcha was way too sweet and the strawberry foam was pretty watery. I would not order this again. And unfortunately I had to toss it after a couple of sips bc of the sweetness. If overly sweet matcha with watery cold foam is your thing, then you will love it. Would have been nice if I had been asked about my preferred level of sweetness. The gal who helped me was not friendly and conversation was forced when I asked menu questions. So disappointed bc I literally went out of my way just for this place. Sadly I won't be back anytime soon.

He had a tattoo near the corner of his eye and was wearing a jersey. It really disturbed me about how he seemed to be harassing the baristas. He told one of them "your tummy is sticking out again," when she said "it's because I just ate," he said "no it's always sticking out." He them proceeded to complain to them about another employee who "decided to get knocked up right when things were getting busy," and said some other things about maternity leave. The most apalling thing was he then asked the barista "if you're pregnant and found out your son was gonna be retarded, would you do the un-Catholic thing?" She tried to brush him off by saying "it would be too late," to which he made a joke about using a "coat hanger." Truly the most apalling thing I've ever witnessed at any establishment. I never leave reviews at all, but I had to report this because it seems like this guy involved with management is bullying and harassing the employees. And this non-profit works with foster youth?!
