Best donuts I've had. I always go for the classical glazed and they have perfected the recipe. Perfectly soft and MELTS in your mouth. I wish I got 20 and tried all the other flavors. They tried to scam my mom (senior citizen). She went to buy 3 donuts near closing time. I saw the man enter $5.30 in the machine. My mom asked if he takes debit, to which he said yes. She went to a table to find her debit card. When she went to the cashier he grabbed her card and immediately did the touch pay. But I said out loud, "No!! You're charging her $9,000+!!!!" The donuts here are good. Not fabulous, just good. However, someone needs to train the people running this mom and pop store in marketing and merchandising skills. One morning a couple of years back, I attempted to purchase 2 dozen assorted donuts here to take to work with me. I was informed by the person behind the counter that they had a limit on how many donuts I could buy - 1 dozen only. When I asked them why, I was told that they were afraid they would run out of donuts. Seriously? I helpfully assured them that if they ran out of donuts they could close up shop early and relax for the rest of the day, or - heaven forbid - they could make more donuts (and consequently more money). They did not find this amusing. I left with no donuts and had to go find another donut shop to purchase my 2 dozen donuts. I used to drop in and buy single donuts all the time before this incident, but I haven't been back since. In all fairness, though, when I DID buy single donuts there they were pretty good so I felt guilty giving them only 2 stars. So, if you're in the mood for a donut or two - by all means go here. I bought a couple dozen assorted donuts here to take to my temporary coworkers in Shafter. I made sure to include a couple apple fritters, cinnamon rolls and filled donuts along with a bunch of others. The donuts were a huge hit and were largely demolished by the end of the day. The apple fritter was the best IMHO but what I liked about everything was that nothing was overly greasy or heavy. They were also not so disgustingly sweet. And floury and doughy. This is not the donut I remember. Then on my last trip, I got donut holes and my other favorite, the blueberry. The donut holes seemed like it's been out for several days as it was hard and also tasteless. As for the blueberry, it had a very artificial flavor. Like diluted blueberry flavor. Horrible service. We had been repeat customers but after today that will change. The give you a card that you get stamped with every dozen you buy and once you purchase 9 dozen the 10th dozen is supposed to be free. I handed my card to one lady and she went in the back to get me special donuts because I was getting 2 dozen. Another lady assisted me while I waited for the special snowman donuts that I was waiting for. When the lady came from the back she refused me the free dozen saying that I never handed her a card and I never asked for special donuts. Then she was very rude.
