I cannot even begin to say how beautiful this sending off for my pet was and it was all because of Dr. Woon. She made it as best as possible in the worst of circumstances. Very caring and soothing and very communicative The Dr is extremely gentle and I felt comfortable and at peace with her handling one of the toughest decisions my wife and I ever had to make Our little baby, who was 16ish, was in lots of pain and discomfort his last few days and the Dr came much earlier, which was a great relief She gave him opioids which put him in a euphoric state. Then once he was knocked out and she finished the procedure- he was put to rest peacefully I am still a wreck and hysterical crying at different points throughout the days. Dr. Woon was so kind, gentle, professional and really the perfect person we needed on this awful day. Putting Roxy down was one of the hardest things we ever had to do and by the end we reframed the experience as helping Roxy transition to the other side via the Rainbow Bridge. We were very emotional and Dr. Woon was a gentle presence who made sure everyone, even Roxy, was comfortable. When she met Roxy, Dr. Woon leaned her face to Roxy's face and Roxy kissed her nose. Honestly wish I had written this review sooner, but we had been struggling with our loss while also dealing with bringing a new (human) life into this world! Our little guy had lymphoma and was declining fast. We had picked a day to say our goodbye, but he decided his time had come sooner than we anticipated. He was in pain and we couldn't bear to make him suffer through another night. My husband frantically called several at home euthanasia agencies asking them if they were available. Angel wings was our third call, a final Hail Mary attempt if you will. Considering we were in Sherman oaks and Dr Woon was based in Santa monica, we weren't hopeful. To our surprise, she called us back within minutes saying she could come immediately. The agency's name is fitting, it was truly as if an angel answered our prayers. Within the hour Dr Woon showed. I've never experienced such heart ache, and honestly do not know how she or anyone could do what she does for a living, but she said she finds peace knowing she's helping pet owners and pets cross over to a better place. The whole experience was thoughtful, gentle, and at our speed. Dr Woon explained every step for us so we knew what to expect and when to expect it. She was so gentle with our little baby and gave us time to say goodbye on our own once he had officially passed on. She then took some of his fur and left us with it and took our baby with her in a cozy little basket. For something so morbid and gut wrenching, we have nothing but positive memories from that awful night thanks to Dr Woon. Weeks later, we received our boys ashes and she included his paw print on plaster which absolutely destroyed me upon receiving. Such a special memory to have. I feel bad that one pet parent somehow didn't have a good experience ( the one who left a one star review; I'm Not sure if there was a glitch with the phone system / voice mail?) but we had nothing but great things to say about Dr. Sy Woon service. Our dog Bella hadn't been well & last Saturday night her health was really declining & we didn't want to bring her back to the hospital to be put to sleep, but we didn't want her to suffer any longer. We wanted her to rest in peace in her home of 15 yrs, surrounded by my husband & me, & with her 2 dog siblings. On Sunday morning we called her, & our call went straight into a voicemail with instruction to fill in the short online form on her website, so we did that. She called us back within 10 minutes. We were able to get an appointment with Dr Woon on the same day at 12 noon. Dr Woon is very kind, compassionate, & her presence brought us peace during this very hard decision to let Bella go. She explained clearly what she was going to do ( all the steps) & reassured us that Bella was not feeling any pain during the process. She also made clay paw print of Bella, saved a small clipping of Bella's fur & put them in a small pretty jar, & gave us a certificate of remembrance. I can't thank Dr. Woon, Felicia, and Scott enough for the compassionate, efficient, and knowledgeable care we received in a time of so much trauma, when decisions are extremely difficult to make. My 13 yo dachshund had been struggling with a symptomatic activation of congenital liver shunt for close to a year. He was experiencing neurological trauma that started to increase to a point that he wasn't eating, and was struggling to walk. We were seeing 3 specialists who had him on all kinds of meds and prescription foods. I just thought maybe if i could find the right food he would eat...maybe if i could just get him on the right dose of meds he would cycle up again. I looked at him one day as I desperately tried to shoot chicken broth into his mouth...and I saw the look he gave me. He was skinny. He was sad. He was suffering. He was done. It was still incredibly hard to do the right thing though. I loaded him in the car that day and drove to the pet store where I purchased 5 kinds of food and tried to get him to eat anything...anything at all...even if it wasn't the prescription kind..no luck. I drove around knowing that we needed to end up at the place where I would exit alone.....but I just couldn't do it. An hour later I pulled back into my driveway sobbing with 5 opened containers of food untouched. My neighbors happened to pull up as I was lifting Gram out of the car. They commented on how thin he was, and how much had changed over the course of the last year. They told me Dr. Woon had helped another friend of theirs, and offered to give her a call. What happened next was just unbelievable. I went from sobbing in my car alone with Gram to having a team of supportive people around us taking care of every detail. My neighbors called Dr. Woon (actually they spoke to Felicia who coordinated everything), and Dr. Woon said she could come at 11pm (yes, 11pm at night after all her other appts!!!). It was around 7pm when we wrapped Gram in a blanket and headed to our neighborhood restaurant patio for some dinner and drinks. He always loved his patio dinners with friends. He laid in my lap and just chilled. After that, we went home and curled him up in his bed with everyone around him. I was still feeling really hesitant about what was coming next. When Dr. Woon arrived, she examined Gram and put all my hesitation to rest. I can't describe how compassionate but still scientific and efficient she was. She took care of everything so seamlessly. She gave Gram a shot of valuum, so that he fell into a nice deep sleep curled up in his bed. We spent some time with him in this state before she gave him the final shot. There was no change...he just continued to sleep peacefully. At 1am (yes, 1am!!), Scott came to pick him up, cradling Gram in his arms so lovingly. He gave me his number and said he would be texting the following week when Gram was ready to come home. In the meantime, Dr. Woon had put a little shaving of fur in a jar with a hear crystal, and made a paw print. As promised, Scott texted the following week and brought Gram home. He handed me a beautiful and simple little wooden box with carvings, which I placed on my hutch with the fur, paw print, and Gram's leash. It truly felt like he was home. As I said in the beginning, I can't thank these compassionate professionals enough!! What they do is extremely selfless. I'm so grateful a service like this exists...(to boot it ended up costing less than a chaotic and impersonal emergency room would). really unbelievable... read more

I have no doubt that they do good work as they came highly recommended by a good friend of mine. Unfortunately, my experience was sad at best. If you want to schedule two weeks in advance your experience may be different. The website clearly states "Peaceful In-Home Pet Euthanasia 7 days a week Emergency After-hours, Weekends & Same-Day appointments". They don't pick up their phone. Instead their outgoing message refers you to a booking form on their website and invites you to call back to leave a message if you want to speak with someone. Since it wasn't an Emergency I submitted the online form which provides a commitment to get back to you in 12 hours. I called again after 24 hours had passed and no one reached out. I followed the instructions to leave a message for a call back but there's no clear indication that you've left a message. I did not receive a call back but I did receive a response to my email at the 26 hour mark. The email indicated that they have no availability for "the next two weeks". So they do not offer "Emergency, After-hours, or Same-Day Appointments"? I wasn't offered either. I was offered referrals to "other local doctors who might be able to help". The website shouldn't state "Peaceful In-Home Pet Euthanasia 7 days a week Emergency After-hours, Weekends & Same-Day appointments" if they cannot honor the statement. People are reaching out during one of the most heartbreaking times in their lives, the least they can do is is set the right expectation immediately. read more

I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for Dr. Wong. We had to put down our dog unexpectedly late at night. She immediately called me back and was so sweet and I explained to her that my partner was on a flight home to say goodbye and asked if she could come later so he had that chance. My gorgeous, 21-year-old, all black cat Gloria was sick and after losing my 84-year-old mother in March, I postponed calling Dr. Woon until I realized that my poor baby was in pain. Dr. Woon was absolutely wonderful. I wanted to schedule the event in a week, and she convinced me to schedule her visit the next day, promising me she'd evaluate Gloria first. Dr. Woon made a truly sad event tolerable -- and this is from a social worker who has educated social workers for 30 years. She let me hold her, and had a special basket for her after she passed. Dr. Woon's administrative assistant, Felicia, is equally wonderful. I contacted two other services whose responses were delayed and less-than-impressive: Felicia got back in touch ASAP and stayed in contact throughout and after, adding her consolation as well. Letting go of my pet dog Sharky was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made. After 15 years, I knew in my heart that it was time, but I just could not get enough strength to do it. On the other hand, deciding on the best pet euthanasia and pet cremation services was quite easy for me. I made several calls but as soon as I talked to Felicia and to Dr. Woon, I knew she could give Sharky the best services that no other company can give. Dr. Woon was very genuinely sympathetic and gave me all the details that would be involved in the process. When she came to our house, she took the time to talk to me and my whole family, assuring us that we had made the right decision. She gave us the time to say our goodbyes and we knew that Sharky passed away with dignity and that he took all our love with him to pet heaven. After the cremation, Dr Woon personally delivered Sharky's ashes to us and brought us some beautiful flowers. She again spent time with the family to see how we were doing. This to me is an exceptional service with the most sincere sympathy and empathy that someone can ever impart to a grieving family. It warms my heart to see such incredible reviews on Angel Wings Vets. On what was probably the worst days of our lives and the hardest decision we ever had to make, Dr. Woon was truly an angel when it came time to say goodbye to our pup. Dolce had a sudden decline within 24 hrs and we weren't sure what to do. Our vets, while they provided some advice, they didn't give a lot of transparency or advice as to what was really happening so we didn't know what to do next. Dr. Woon responded right away and was so incredibly comforting and kind on the phone, knowing that this was such a hard thing to comprehend and how to make a decision. She suggested coming that day to our home to do a quality of life assessment and give her honest opinion. She examined Dolce and told us the signs of decline she was seeing and why she was suggesting it was time to say goodbye. She also helped our young kids understand what happening and why this was the right decision. Explaining euthanasia to an 8 and 5 year old is no easy feat, especially when they were so so attached to Dolce. She helped my daughter understand that this was the best thing we could do for him and allow him to pass peacefully. She was patient, kind and really gave us our time as we said good bye. We are so thankful she helped make this incredibly difficult day and the time we said goodbye something that was still peaceful and beautiful. Also, after the fact, I still felt the natural guilt and moments of regret and not knowing if we did the right thing, she got on the phone right away to talk me through it and helped me process my grief. The little paw prints, the beautiful cremation box and the little jars of fur (while slightly odd, gives us SO much comfort to touch to remind us of how our little fur baby felt). So so incredibly thankful for everything Dr. Woon and Felicia did to help our family. While I wish no one to ever go through this incredibly painful time in their (and their fur baby's) life, when/if that moment comes, take comfort that Dr. Woon truly is a blessing to guide you through the grief and process and help your pup go to the rainbow road knowing how loved they are. read more
