Tried Angeles de Puebla today for the first time ever. We were super hungry & immediately started eating (as you can see). I had the Enmoladas which are enchiladas, but with their mole instead of a red/green sauce. I asked for no radishes. They were perfect with a sweet & subtle spice! The beans were also DELICIOUS, not dry or salty or bland, had an incredible taste!! My husband got the California burrito which was also super delicious. We dined in so we were able to try their delicious salsas with their complimentary chips! Will definitely be going back :) read more

I am a big fan of Taco Sinaloa food truck on Broadway, by Cook. Planned on picking up dinner from them tonight but the streets were blocked off for the car show. After circling around I decided to drive the other direction, and found myself back on Broadway but north of Main, and found Angeles de Puebla food truck. And what a find! Homemade tortillas. Well seasoned and cooked carne asada. The flautas are crispy deliciousness. And the rice and beans were perfect. You know you found a good spot when the rice and beans are as good if not better than homemade. Yum! Still like taco Sinaloa but I think I may have found my new favorite food truck Last but not least, the two people running the truck tonight were very nice and accommodating. read more

Looking for a good asada burrito. Read some local reviews and decided to come give it a try. While I'm sure there are bigger this one was delicious. Tortilla also seemed to be home made. I forgot to ask. There is also a salsa bar with a the fixings needed to compliment an order of tacos. Or in my case sample different flavors to add to my burrito. The staff was very polite from the woman taking my order to the gentleman in the back who came out to say good day on my way out. If your in the area. This is not a place you would assume is a restaurant but once you know you know. Hope this helps when deciding where to go for good food. Food: 3.25. Came by for a Tuesday lunch. Ordered a "BURRITO DE CARNE ASADA" and my friend ordered a carne asada taco, al pastor taco, and a sope. A basket of chips and a small container of salsa were brought to our table. Inside is a salsa/condiment case of salsas, radish slices, cut onions, cilantro, etc. Staff will give you a tiny white paper container or you can spoon directly into your plate like I did. Food was delivered timely and at the right temperature. My order was not what I expected. On the menu in the Burritos section, it notes "INCLUDES RICE & BEANS" which I thought meant a side of rice and beans with my burrito. What I got was a burrito with rice and beans inside. The burrito was relatively small consisting of more rice and beans than asada. I thought this was not worth the $9.99 price especially since another Mexican restaurant in the SM area offers a better asada burrito for $2 less. My friend said his tacos were good. I got a thing for Carnitas Burritos with beans and rice inside. Make it a wet burrito with sour cream and cheese, and you have a dedicated customer right here. I was in the area doing some shopping at Target, and using my handy-dandy Yelp app, I came across Angeles de Puebla. I'm glad I did because they did me a great favor for doing the above Carnitas Burrito [$8.99, 4.5 stars] just right. While the chips were cold and the salsa could have been better, but the chips did come with a little cup of free bean dip -- yes! That, along with the sweet staff, made up for the shortcomings of the C & S. Along with a Horchatta, I had myself a satisfying meal enough to get me all the way to LA. The place is very clean, but designed a little odd to me with a long makeshift counter, but after the ordering process, they have a cute dining area, and if preferred, and outside patio at the parking lot and street. They seem to make the sopes & tortillas by hand which make a big difference. The breakfast burrito and tacos were also delicious! We sadly had the worst customer service, maybe ever. We had to ask for chips and salsa. Nobody came to see how the food was or if we needed anything. I even had to go ask for our bill. She never showed it to me. Just told me how much it was. My enchiladas were spicy, like even my tonsils were on fire. They still are 20 minutes later. I could not eat them. He ordered a chorizo and egg burrito with beans and rice on the side. They put the beans and rice in the burrito. He didn't want to complain so decided to eat it. Well it was 98% beans and rice, 2% chorizo and egg. Inside is super loud and hot. We sat outside and listened to the cars drive by on the main road, which was actually quieter. I ordered the lunch special and was told I couldn't have a Seiter that I had to choose chicken or pork. I chose pork and the food was actually good and good portions unfortunately you'll have to get a soda with it so the total price came to almost $12. Seems a little expensive for being a lunch special. The real kicker is that when I ask for Wi-Fi I was told there's no Wi-Fi as I was sitting outside. Then when I went in to get more hot sauce because they just give you one container of hot sauce and they literally refused to give me any more than one hot sauce!! Decided to stop in for a quick Chimichanga. The place is clean and the menu seems complete. They have a variety of salsas at a serve yourself station which is nice. The food is piping hot and fresh. Not greasy at all. I think they grilled the chimichanga l, which is fine with me, nice and crunchy. Okay so the Asada was good (average really) but it lacked that OMG adobo seasoning that I crave in an Asada borrowings. That said however, it is still very good. My family really enjoyed the food from here. We ordered veggie burritos, al pastor burrito and the chimichanga kids meal. We decided to do takeout but the restaurant is set up great for COVID. Plastic partitions between the tables and all the staff had masks. My husband said the pastor burrito was very tasty and it was spicy. My sons chimichangas were good sized and very full and not over fried. They were a very good value for the price. We will definitely be eating here again. read more

Alright, I'm a stereotype but i love me some Mexican food lol. This place gets it right every time, the tacos are plain coming out but with added toppings from the salsa bar (if you love spicy get the green one) it's absolutely amazing. The torta was my favorite off the menu especially when you mix the type of meat. The nachos are a go to every time i step foot in the place but the best part of eating here is the bean and chips they serve you as soon as you sit down. Disappointing to say the least. We called for a to go order and asked if the mixed fajitas were Spicy. They said it depends on how they made the sauce that day. I asked for sauce on the side. They said it wasn't possible because they cook it in the sauce but she asked the chef and he'd make it with no spice and extremely mild. We get them and they didn't give us our tortillas, was super spicy (not editable to myself or mother) and the green peppers had all the seeds left in them so it was full of seeds. The veggies were just wilted seed filled peppers and maybe 3 little onion slices. In addition they did not give us the guacamole but instead 2 slivers of avocado and 1 slice of tomato in the sauce. And the shredded lettuce was mixed in under the sauce. Gross. It was awful. Rice was bland and beans were a runny mess. Not edible. And not cheap. 2 fajitas were over 32 dollars. read more

This restaurant was pretty underwhelming. Nothing stood out as terrible however nothing was overly impressive either. We ordered a bean and cheese burrito and a chicken burrito. Both items were average, the bean and cheese burrito was mainly cheese. They do have a salsa bar, however there are no bowls so you must take your entree plate over to it in order to get any salsa or toppings. We had to ask for silverware and were never offered additional water. The chips and bean dip that were brought to the table were just okay. The chips were not warm and seemed a bit on the stale side. The restaurant itself is not very large and the kitchen is visible from the seating area. It does however have a clean restroom. Overall we felt there were a lot of little small things that will keep us from returning again in the future. read more

Absolutely love this place!! My boyfriend and I recently moved to a house close to this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. On tuesdays, if you purchase a bottled soda, your tacos are only 99 cents each! I believe you can choose from chicken, pastor, carnitas, and chorizo. I believe there are more options I can't remember all of them. Chorizo is out of this world - not greasy and clearly freshly made. Al pastor is the best I've had in town and there are some amazing Mexican restaurants in SM. They cook the al pastor similarly to gyros on a spit. I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner and me and my bf have made this a weekly tradition now. I've also had their chicken enchiladas which are amazing. They serve you chips and this AMAZING bean dip to start! So good I ordered another side of just the beans. They give you a lot of food for the price and it feels good to support a small family business. This is officially my favorite choice for Mexican food in Santa Maria. I have ordered takeout here three times and I waited to taste the consistency of the food before I would post a review. I had the carne asada plate, pastor tacos, carne asada nachos, and pozole. The ingredients consisted of higher quality than most if not all of the competition. The salsa is good, and the employees are friendly. I really hope this place does well because the location is in a not so popular area. It is easy to pass by and not see the restaurant on the road. Angeles De Puebla is the only place I will go to now for Mexican food in Santa Maria. Also, the prices are great as well as the portion sizes. I can't wait to try their huarache next. read more
