This review is for Taco El Tizon's taqueria location in Lompoc. This is my family's go-to place for take-out burritos. Great hand made tortillas, and Al pastor was delicious! Hot sauce was...HOTTTT!!! Beautiful atmosphere and well lit. Located right by the plaza, a great way to end a shopping trip. Service is good, but you may have to be vocal about some things. Bathrooms so CLEAN! read more

The pastor is delicious here and the thing to come for. They have great taco tuesday specials, but prices are always descent. Service is nice, food takes a bit, but they have descent chips and a salsa bar. Spot#4, EL TIZON! Salsas are spicy and on point. About 4 salsa options to choose from. I had 3 tacos: Asade, Alpastor, and Carnitas. Alpastor is cooked on a vertical spit, the meat is flavorful and fatty. All three tacos were well served on a fresh homemade tortilla de maiz. Carnitas are a little too dry, adding the red salsa brings them back to life. Asade are good quality, but prefer it to be more crispy and with char flavor. Upon the recommendation of a coworker we went here for dinner. I love tacos al pastor, so I ordered two and one carne asada. My husband got his usual: a chicken burrito. Now the staff was very sweat. But the food was really disappointing. The tacos come plain, just with the meat. There is a "salsa bar" which compared to those in the Bay Area was very disappointing. First the salsas were all very flavorless. No depth. Two red, two green. One looked like watered down pureed avocado. There also was lime. onion, and cilantro. Even doctored up, the pastor was bland. The carne asada was actually a little better. Jack's Burrito was also flavorless, despite being "wet". I really wanted to like this place after all the good reviews. Sorry! read more

The tacos come with just meat and tortilla, their around 1.85. If you want cheese it's 2.50 but again their plain just meat and tortilla with cheese. You do have a bar to add salsa onion and cilantro. With it being bare and tortillas being quite dry I give it a 3. The meat also was tough and flavor wasn't the best, their not bad I would say basic. They do though provide more meat inside than many places for street tacos. read more

This place is great!!! Good food. Nice people. Too bad they can't have the salsa bar anymore because of Covid-2. My favorite is the chorizo torta. My kids love their beans and rice. Hands down BEST street tacos in Santa Maria. It was out first time here, we usually go to La Picosita but not any more since our past bad experiences. Decided to try out this spot and I'm so glad we did, this will be my go-to spot from now on. First, prices are great for the amount of food they serve. We ate in and they give you chips and refried bean dip after you sit. As simple as it was it was delicious. I ordered lengua, pastor, and tripa tacos. Good amount of meat in each and the meat was flavorful. Mom had the hongos (mushroom) and fish tacos she loved them. They have a salsa bar with good variety for you to top off your tacos with. Well I was going to a play and only had a short time, I wanted tacos! This place looked perfect. It had all the ingredients of a place that would be making great street tacos. What a find. I was so pleased at the quality and flavor of everything. I know I just had a couple tacos and salsa and a squeeze of lime and well I am hooked.
