I am all about recognizing those who go above and beyond. A few weeks ago William(5) had cavities that needed attention and during that visit we scheduled all 5 Gardiner kids (3,5,6,7 & 9) for a cleaning plus mom. Well last night at 7:58pm I bit into a McDonalds fry and what felt like an entire tooth fell out of my mouth. It was completely mortifying and scary all at the same time. At 1:30am YES 1:30 in the morning I messaged the manager of Angeles Dental to let her know that my appointment would need to be longer then originally anticipated. And went to bed tossing and turning over the thought of loosing my tooth. At 9am I spoke with her to confirm and by 10 all of us were in the office and ready to be seen. I can't tell you how incredible this staff is. William had his remaining cavity filled and all 4 girls had cleanings. Who knew they made chocolate toothpaste? They are so amazing with patients of all ages. Meaghan (3) is now asking to go back for sparkly teeth tomorrow. When it was my turn we found that I needed what looked like two crowns. Dr Angeles worked his magic and saved my tooth resulting in only one crown and a filling. You have no idea how his honesty brought me peace. Dental work is not cheep and we were prepared to go into debit over this mommas tooth. While I sat through my appointment the three office staff girls Brittani, Camron and Nise took care of my kiddos. They even went that extra mile and Brittani called a friend to bring all 5 kiddos McDonalds of all things for oinch. Does your dentist do that? Seriously friends I am a mom to 5, William and I are self employed and just the thought of visiting the dentist is scary due to our lack of insurance. This office and every individual who works their is truly amazing and a godsend. I moved from Palmdale to San Diego. I searched for a dentist. After rejecting three, I settled on a fourth dentist and was reasonable content. However, after a while, I decided to come back to Angeles Dental. Can you believe that? Drive from San Diego County to Palmdale to have teeth cleaned? (Am I crazy?) I am happy to say it is worth it to be so nicely cared for and so welcomed by everyone. The drive is horrible, but I do it because this is simply the best place for dental care. Dr. Angeles is unique. He breaks the mold as a professional person; I have total confidence in his skill. He has filled many cavities, sadly had to pull two teeth, but put in place a bridge that all the San Diego dentists admired. He is the best! In addition, he cares about his patients, taking an interest in them so that one feels like being with a friend. First place I tried since moving to Palmdale based on reviews. Pros: Nice office, friendly staff and punctual service. Cons: Mediocre cleaning. Normally after a cleaning I can feel the spaces between individual teeth. Not so after my cleaning here. My teeth did not feel clean. I paid for xrays but no one told me what the results were. Dr. Angeles has been my dentist for about 10 yrs now and I love this place. However, I'll admit it, I was a bad girl and didn't go for a few years (because life happens and it was always in the back of my mind but it didn't happen lol). BUT don't be scared to make that appt and come over here and let them help you. Even after all the time I didn't go, Dr. Angeles still remembered me and was glad to see me. He and his team never made me feel bad or embarrassed that I haven't been for a while. They simply made the x-rays, cleaned my teeth & told me what needed to be done. I like that they let you know what part your insurance covers and how much out of pocket (copay) there will be before the procedure(s) so you will NEVER be surprised with bills here! So important because I know thats how other dentists here in the AV rip you off. Nevertheless, I had to get multiple fillings and can I tell you that I didn't feel sh*t?! I know thats a fear most people have and the procedure was really fast and painless (besides the initial shot of anesthesia). I even liked that they give you headphones with the most relaxing throwback music to listen to. Dr. Angeles was recommended to me by a co-worker. What impressed me most was the fact that he would not immediately treat me. He took the time to explain to me that I needed to see a periodontist immediately; that it was obvious that this wasn't something that had just occurred. He further explained that treating me at that time would be irresponsible on his part. Interestingly was that I had seen another dentist 1 month prior - who did X-rays and a cleaning. Not once did he mention anything to me about seeing a periodontist. I made an appointment with the periodontist who confirmed what Dr. Angeles said. Not satisfied, I went for another opinion with a periodontist of my choice. Confirmed. Dr. Angeles is not in it "for the money". He TRULY cares about the health and well being of his patients. I had the same great dentist in the Los Angeles area for many years until I moved to Palmdale and the drive became too much for me to schedule dental appts down in LA. I found Angeles Dental in the Yellow Pages and it looked like a nice office to try out. Dr Angeles has now been mine and my husband's dentist for over 7 years. He and his brother are excellent dentists with kind and caring patient hospitality, as are all the staff there. No one "likes" going the dentist, yet it is a very pleasant experience at Angeles Dental. I really appreciate their caring manner and excellent dental care. They also have state-of-the-art equipment.
