Their offerings of my Childhood Cuisine were Delicious. My Buddy and I left Happily Full with ToGo Boxes and wanting to return. We had the Fried Chicken and Mofongo, the Pernil, the Stuffed Potato Balls, the Tostones, the Beans & Rice. We ate.... and ate well. They have outdoor dining which is Key for this Lively Area. $ Street Parking. Free after 8PM. I can't wait till the City gives these people a Beer & Wine License. Call about Bottle service. Maybe get a wall knocked down. A Must Stop on your List.

My boyfriend and I were looking forward to trying this place and finally decided to today. We…read morearrived shortly after 7pm without a reservation but were seated fairly quickly, within 5-7 minutes. We ordered empanadas, the Churrasco And Yautía plate and Pernil & Arroz Con Gandules. The empanadas I would not get again nor the pernil dish but the steak was delicious. I would definitely recommend that dish and would come back for it. The empanadas barely had any filling and for $12, it was basically just a bunch of fried dough. The reason for 3 stars is they really really need to improve in staffing. There was a hostess who was helping seat people, clean tables, and help with water refills. There was only one waiter, maybe a second person but I hardly saw her? The one waiter was noticeably overworked and stressed out trying to help everyone. There is also only one cook and it took a really long time for most tables to get their food. My steak dish came out but didn't have a steak knife, I wanted to ask for a knife but there was no staff around for a while that I could ask. Also my rice was pretty cold when I got it and my boyfriend's dish was also not hot. Probably was standing out waiting to be brought to us but due to staffing could not be brought to us right as it came out is my guess. I really do think this restaurant has potential but only if the owner addresses the staffing shortages.

The staff here is incredible -- Audrey was so kind, welcoming, and hardworking. Thank you for such great service! While waiting, they have pitchers of ice-cold orange-infused and lemon-infused water available, which is such a thoughtful touch. My chai latte was also perfect and gave me the little boost I needed. I can't wait to come back and try the Tres Leches pancakes and the Tres Leches cheesecake. I love this place and can't wait for my next visit!  Thank you! Support Local.p

Have been coming here since Cafecito opened. As a returning customer, I always order the Palomilla…read moresandwich and a side of black beans but what I received today was a total disappointment. The Palomilla sandwich had tough and chewy meat with a sad portion of broken up shoestring fries, and the top piece of bread was razor thin and falling apart, leaving it essentially open faced. See pics for more details. The beans were almost entirely liquid broth looking like the bottom of the pot than a proper side. The meal felt like it was put together from the end of the day leftovers sadly. I know there is new staff upfront and in the kitchen, but serving food in this condition is unacceptable. I'm posting this with photos in the hope that management sees it and gets quality control back to where it used to be.
