This place is ok. If you're looking for a stop while traveling it was nice for the kids to get out a play. The food is just ok. And it's a dad friendly place which I don't mind but we had dog hair on our table.

This outdoor oasis is a great gathering spot for friends, a date or even alone. Food was good , more of an elevated bar menu. The best surprise was the frozen Jack N Coke! When driving through the Texas hill country this hidden gem is absolutely worth the pitstop! Service was a little slow but it didnt matter as much getting to hang out in a beautiful atmosphere.

Angel's was closed for remodeling when we first moved to the area and we noticed they were open recently, so we stopped in for dinner. The outdoor area is family (and pet!) friendly. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant, having seen tables get turned over quickly and were cleaned meticulously. All of the servers made sure to give my dog attention, too, bringing him water and a Milk Bone (twice his size!). He gives two paws up for having been treated like a hooman. Our drinks were delicious and our entrees were fantastic as well. There was live music that night. It was nice to be able to enjoy the music from a distance, so we could enjoy having our conversation as well. We didn't end up walking inside at all, so we will have to go back to check it out without our 4-legged friend one day.

We come to Angels almost every weekend! We love the live music, the beautiful spacious outdoors seating, and the kids love the playground and room to roam! My favorites are their Brussels sprouts, queso, and sliders! But my MOST favorite is the Angels Meltdown! Yummmm We have also had the pork chops and chicken fried chicken that were delicious! We always have friendly and fast service!

The food was fantastic, and we loved spending an evening on the patio watching the kids play. Highly recommend the Southern Belle sandwich (+ buffalo sauce if that's your thing), and the lemon ice box pie.

We ordered the Prime Rib Sunday special with the twice baked potato, the wagyu burger and fries, and the whipped ricotta with pecan pesto appetizer -- and every single dish was exceptional. The whipped ricotta was an amazing way to start the meal, and the prime rib special was absolutely worth ordering. The burger was also fantastic and cooked perfectly. The vibe inside was rustic but upscale, with warm wood-paneled walls that gave the restaurant a really inviting atmosphere. The service was friendly, attentive, and helped make the whole experience feel relaxed and fun before the concert. Honestly, the hardest part was looking at the rest of the menu knowing there are already several other things I want to come back and try ASAP. Only suggestion: definitely make a reservation. We had four appetizers, and each one was (a) larger than expected and (b)VERY tasty (mushrooms, calamari, fried pickles, and boneless chicken *wings. I also ordered a protein bowl, with was very well presented -- but TWO BIG GUYS were already full by then. took home leftovers for most of the appetizers and the bowl. I will return to EVENTUALLY conquer their menu. * I think they were just chicken chunks, but whatever. Service: We were late to make the waiting list but they slipped us in immediately. The place was ROCKING full, but our waitperson was there for us very fast, both in taking food and drink orders -- and the barstaff/back of house delivering. Full restaurant: FIVE minutes max. Friendly. Not just our person, but two others that I observed while seated. Ambiance: How can you measure that in a totally full restaurant? I _guess_ it was good. Table was clean, as we seats and bench. Noisy but not too noisy. Good AC. My only grumble is that the pretty front door facade is set up so that there's no rain cover. Had to ask two different people to finally get a napkin and silverware for my food. The bathroom has no paper towels Or dryer fan to dry your washed hands. What the heck?! The busser who dropped off the food called me "boss" 2 different times (hate that). Weird pricing structure. They have a late night happy hour on appetizers that are discounted a few bucks each. Example - normal price of $12 and happy hour price of $9. To get them for the $9 price you have to spend a minimum of $3 in beverages, PER APPETIZER you order lol. So bizarre. So if you want to get 3 appetizers for yourself you have to buy 3 drinks or else it's full price. Only one happy hour appetizer price per $3+ beverage. Very weird. I've never heard of a stipulation to get a happy hour appetizer price The overall layout of this restaurant is excellent. I can see it hopping on Sunday afternoons for NFL games and Saturdays in the fall for college football games. It was very empty on a Tuesday night but most places are slow Monday through Wednesday. I hope the place can get it together with their service, logical reasoning, and implement some more common sense and hire more assertive employees and managers. It could be a mainstay in the area with better management and training. No WiFi either and poor mobile data service in this area, so wasn't able to post this review until I got on the road.

Hooper's is one of the most unique restaurant experiences I've ever had!…read more It's inside the restored Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) house from the movie, and walking up to it feels so unreal. Once you're inside, you can explore a lot of the house and it blew me away how much you're able to walk around and see. There's art everywhere, tons of movie memorabilia, and it kinda feels like a Texas Chainsaw museum that just happens to serve food, which is pretty awesome. The theme isn't subtle either (in the best way). One area had a bar with a severed head behind it! There are so many little details, displays and photo moments that other horror fans are going to be obsessed with too! Even the menu is fun, with stuff like the Chicken Slaughter sandwich and the Hitchhiker's grilled chicken. I know it's cheesy, but I love it, especially when the whole place is packed with memorabilia. Food was pretty good too. The experience is definitely the main event, but the food held its own as a bar and grill, and mixing that with how cool the place is made it feel like a full stop, not just a novelty visit. Service was fine but not super standout. There were only a couple staff members actively helping people while others were cleaning up, and everyone was nice enough, just not really "above and beyond." Our food also took a while for a burger and a turkey sandwich, but honestly those are my only real complaints, and I'm only even mentioning it because I'm also here to talk about the food. It was great regardless of the wait. Upstairs has a few more Leatherface items plus some gory/spooky decor, and there's a cool little location map where you can stick a pin in to indicate how far you've visited from! They also have a creepy skin looking guest book to sign, which is such a perfect touch. One real warning though: it's an old house. In Texas, Prepare for the heat, and I mean that seriously. If you want to explore outside too, come ready. I had a UV-blocking umbrella and a face mister and I was still feeling it. Sunglasses for the grounds are a must too. Also, there's a kitty living on the porch named Tuxie, and he's a precious little buddy who loves attention. Make sure you say hi. You can walk all around the property and also go upstairs to see some life size mannequins of family members. It was such a cool experience. Staff is super nice and accommodating. So finally we get to the food. Delicious. I got the chicken slaughter sandwich. It was huge. We also got the artichoke dip that was kinda thick like cream cheese. Pulling up to Roadhouse felt like I was about to film a low-budget country music video. The aggressively unpretentious energy was immaculate. The all-dirt parking lot said everything! No curated patio, no aesthetic succulents just straight up vibes and dust. The place was packed at 1 p.m. Our server, Raven, took great care of us from the jump. Rave was very efficient, friendly, and had zero attitude. We ordered a basket of fries, a portobello mushroom burger for me, a cheeseburger, a Philly cheesesteak, upgraded side salads, and, of course, their famous carrot cake to share. Now, let me confess something: As a Californian, I walked in with absolutely zero expectations given the facade. And yet... the fries were perfect. The portobello burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and very satisfying! My friends inhaled their cheeseburger and Philly like they were participating in a competitive sport. Lol. And don't even get me started with their carrot cake. It was disrespectfully delicious! This was seriously the most humbling "don't judge a book by its cover" moment I've had in a while. Roadhouse doesn't need any curated lighting or a reclaimed-wood Instagram wall because the food and service speak for themselves.
