Heard good things about this restaurant so I went for breakfast. The people are super nice here but I didn't have a great experience with the food. Everything I ordered came out super cold. I also ordered a side of hash browns and they forgot about them . I reminded the waitress and the plate didn't come out until after I was done with all of my other food plus fifteen minutes of sitting there waiting and it was the smallest portion of hash browns I have ever had. Also, me and my friend's waters sat there empty for almost all of our meal. The waitress also left, probably for her break or she was done with her shift , without telling us and we sat there for about another fifteen minutes without a waitress. I liked eating here until I ordered some crepes and my sister ordered some hashbrowns with bacon and eggs... everything was bland and the crepes didn't taste any better with whipped cream? I'm not even sure if they were cooked correctly... We haven't been back since. The servers were nice and the manager was very understanding. We weren't charged full price for our meals. I went to Angie's on Saturday afternoon for brunch with a group of friends. We ordered pancakes for everyone and I ordered a Texas sandwich for myself. The pancake was alright but when I received my sandwich I was quite disappointed. The meat was really dry and chewy and the gravy made the bread super soggy. Mashed potatoes and the meat were bland as well. I have to say the service was good as usual but the food wasn't even close to delicious. read more

Where the locals eat is right! Everyone had a soft spot for this place and the college students love to come "clean the sink" This is where you get a massive sink filled with ice cream and three toppings of your choice to chow down on! Traveling through Logan and the clan was starving as usual. Found this place and took a chance. They offer breakfast all day. French toast and waffles at 8:30pm was great. I am in Logan every month for work and this is the only place I go for breakfast. The service is great, even though I have never been there that it wasn't busy. I've worked in restaurants for 25 years and I have yet to see an employee here that I wouldn't hire. The food is fantastic, it isn't fancy, but that's not what I'm here for, it's just really good food. I haven't ordered anything that didn't come out hot, fresh and exactly what I asked for. July 25. 2016 We stopped here today with a car full of hungry grand-kids young and not so young. We were seated quickly even though they were busy. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful with highchairs and drinks. The soup of the day... Creamy potato bacon soup was delivered to our table before the rest of our food and my grand-kids enjoyed every bite that I shared. They brought out the rest of the food and that was my OMGosh moment.... I had ordered a strawberry cheesecake scone and that thing was huge. of course my grand-kids had to share and we actually had to buy the second one. It's good old diner food. Old time classic done the same and it always hits the spot. They have steaks, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, veggies, and fries. Burgers are pretty good here as well and a nice college town atmosphere that they embrace. They also have some pretty good selection of deserts. read more

The meal made me feel very nostalgic, because I hadn't eaten spaghetti or salad like that since the elementary school cafeteria. The salad was still wet, having probably come straight out of the bulk bag of salad mix, so the dressing just ran off and pooled in the bottom of the bowl. The pasta was overcooked, hardly requiring any chewing. The sauce was good, as well as the toasted garlic bread, but not good enough to redeem the rest. I wanted something light, something cheap, something that wouldn't leave anything to waste since leftovers weren't an option, so I went with the spaghetti with salad. Basically I didn't get a good meal because I didn't order was was good. What's good? I'm definitely ordering off of the griddle next time. French Toast or Buttermilk Pancakes, possibly with blueberries. If not in the mood for breakfast at 5pm, California Burger with fries. I have eaten good food there before, and it would have happened again if I'd followed these simple rules: 1. Avoid the spaghetti (unless you like it really soft) 2. Ask for extra napkins to towel off the salad, removing excess moisture. 3. Breakfast is good at 5pm (or noon or 9pm or etc.) Or you can follow the other reviewer's advice. Pure deliciousness! When it comes to good quality food and customer service, Angie's restaurant does not cut corners. I brought my 2 year old twin boys with me and they absolutely loved it. They usually don't eat anything. Five stars is not enough stars for this restaurant! So, for example, if you saw my profile on Match.com, say, and I represented that I was the spitting image of Orlando Bloom, but then showed up to our date looking like Steve Buscemi... Well, then you'd have a right to complain, yeah? On the other hand, if I went to great lengths to properly represent that Steve and I are twins, and I labeled my profile in all CAPS as "sexy ugly" as I think somebody once described Steve Buscemi, and you showed up to our date, took one look at me, and was somehow disappointed by my looks, well, then you'd have only yourself to blame, right? Well, restaurants should be judged by the same criteria. Angie's represents itself to be "Where the locals eat." And Angie's is 100% honest and truthful. Angie's isn't trying to be an upscale steak house. Nor does it pretend to provide elegent dining. Nor is it trying to convince you to come in for its foie gras and 1996 Ducru-Beaucaillou Bordeaux. Angie's tells it like it is. If you want good, affordable, and incredibly tasty diner fare - and HUGE portions of it too - then go to Angie's. Some reviews I've seen, and I'm not naming any names (and I mean you, Bevan E., sir) seem to be disappointed with Angie's. And the hash browns were note-worthy in that they were cooked just right - not too crisp and not mushy either. Our waitress was AWESOME. In spite of running around with her hair on fire, due to the huge crowd, she always had time to make funny jokes at the other waitstaff and at the patrons. At one point, she even sniped at one guy sitting at the counter, "You better not do that! Or else I might kiss you!" So, in the end, I'm not comparing Angie's to the dining I've had at the 4 Seasons or at French Laundry (once upon a time I had a really great corporate expense account). I'm comparing Angie's to Denny's and IHOP and all the other breakfast joints around. And for what it is, Angie's is hands down, without question, far, far, far superior to 95% of breakfast joints out there. My fiancee and I left with smiles on our faces this morning. I came here with a local family that just raved about the place. I was not impressed. Maybe it's because I come from a city with exceptional restaurants and I'm a vegetarian but the food was of average quality. I ordered a veggie scramble. Though the quantity was enormous (if you're into a lot of food) the quality was not. I had to dump salsa (canned) on my scramble to make it taste like anything. The positive thing I must say is that the crew that works there do take care of you. Just had the chicken Arizona and it was outstanding. Started with the Homemade chicken soup which was pouring over the cup it was such a large portion with big chunks of chicken carrots and celery and great noodles. The soup was served with an excellent warm dinner roll. The homemade mashed potatoes were indeed homemade and fantastic. It also came with a choice of carrots or broccoli. I chose the carrots and they were prepared with butter and brown sugar and were very tasteful. Finished off with coconut cream pie which was equally as good as everything else. My waitress Jenny was a real sweetheart. If I lived here I would weigh 800 pounds because I would eat here often. Don't miss this gem.
