Angie's serves average food in a typical small-town diner..the rest is all hype. 'Where the locals eat' is a dead giveaway, since folks in Cache Valley tend to overwhelmingly love average food. I should know, I've been forced along on trips to Angie's and Juniper (Takeout and Inn) since I was a wee lad. I'll never understand it. My grandma's cooking had a lot more flavor than this. Menu is old and tired here. Breakfast is okay, done in typical traditional fashion. Omelettes are nothing to write home about, and the way they cook hash browns here leaves the insides wet and undercooked. Venture off of their breakfast menu and the food quality falls to poor and prices go up. Their burger, french dip, $15 fish and chips, etc, all forgettable. Logan only recently got a Denny's, so for decades this was the alternative. It's basically a Denny's with better desserts. Another issue I've had here is spotty service, to say the least. Sometimes wait staff comes off impatient and grumpy. And if something is cooked wrong, prepare to be scowled at. Owner is a piece of work as well. Angie's is my favorite place to eat in Logan. After four years of college, I've tried a lot of restaurants, and this place is the best in my opinion. Food and service is always great. It's got classic diner food with some vegetarian options thrown in that make it perfect for any group. Angie's is a local institution. A cheap greasy spoon that serves large quantities of food for a low price. It's also one of the few breakfast places open in Logan on Sunday, so it is often pretty busy then. Their turnover rate is pretty high, so even if the waiting area is full when you arrive, it's rarely more than a 10 minute wait. read more

This place is reliably good and sometimes great. It can be crowded but waits aren't usually long. Angie's really is a popular local spot, just as their marketing claims. I'd describe it as a "Family Dining Restaurant" more than I would a "Diner," but it's the closest thing Logan has to a diner. They serve mostly good-old-American comfort foods. The place is clean but not perfect as the building and decor are a little aged. The servers are attentive. There are roaming servers that seem to not do anything but fill drinks so if you go thirsty, it's likely your own fault. I recommend their broached chicken, waffles, navajo tacos, or pretty much anything they have on special. Fried shrimp and/or salmon are often on special. The chicken fried steak dinner (or breakfast) is a massive serving with all the sides. The "Kitchen Sink" is a dripping spectacle of ice-cream and toppings... for those that aren't too embarrassed to be seen sitting by it. It can easily serve six or more people. read more

This place has it all. Good consistent food and great service. And I just had the best New York steak I've had in Logan at a restaurant since Glausers went out of business. So for you new to Logan, that means a long time. There's a reason you usually have to wait a few minutes to get a table. This place is our local example of a better mouse trap! This is the best place for breakfast. Very laid back atmosphere. I like coming here early in the morning to relax and think. I know that sounds odd. But trust me. You can find Zen and a clear mind in a place like this. You can also find and endless stream of hot coffee too. I like the crapes, waffles, pancakes, and eggs the most. They keep it simple the right way. But don't bother with "the sink" unless you like eating spoonfuls of raw sugar and riding around Main Street in an electric diabetes chair and taking insulin shots. What a wonderful place to eat! I came in last week with my husband visiting my parents and had a fantastic experience! It was very busy but management was on top of everything and we were seated quicker than I thought. I believe the manager's name was Bry, and he did a very efficient job. Chris and Rachel took care of us and we're on top of the ball when it came to making sure we had our drinks filled the whole time and making sure our order was correct and just providing OUTSTANDING service! Rachel was very friendly and made sure we knew about the special and answered all of me and my husband's questions. Chris was extremely nice and made sure that we were never low on our water or Diet Coke! They make a great team, I can only imagine how good the rest of the employees are! My shrimp lunch was some of the best I've had and my husband's skillet was fabulous! The cooks did a wonderful job in making sure our food was perfect. I unfortunately didn't get any pictures because by the time I thought about it, it was already gone. My husband works late every Christmas and I thought I would take myself and our 2 kids to dinner. We chose Angie's because it has something for us all. Unfortunately there was a long hair in my salad. I told the server and she was understanding and brought me a new salad. (Never ate the second one) When she brought us the bill she said there was a discount for my "inconvenience" . Their idea of almost eating a hair is worth $3.50 off my bill. When I went to check out it was our server and I explained that my daughters toast was so cold the butter never melted it was like thick mayonnaise on it. She said she spoke to the manager and he gave me the $3.50 discount and very sassy asked me if I would like more of a discount. I just said I would not be back. They may not think it matters to just disregard one family but, its not okay to treat people this way. I don't think anybody wants someone else's hair in their food or in their mouth. Dinner with my family didn't turn out very nicely here. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Went back last Sunday. Satisfied once again. I had a jack cheese and broccoli omlet. Delicious! The broccoli was cooked to perfection. I shared it with my toddler and she loved it! My husband had the hot Texas sandwich, I believe it was called that. Roast beef and gravey over Texas toast. He enjoyed it! There were LOTS of people there. I was surprised, being a Sunday, but we're from Centerville where not even a tumble weed would dare venture out on a Sunday. The lobby was full, but they got everyone seated insanely fast. Our waitress was really nice and we never waited long for anything we asked for. The whole place was stuffed full of friendly faces. The Clean the Sink challenge is a fun and unique food challenge. The breakfast food is typical of a ma and pa breakfast place.

I ordered one egg, hash browns & toast. I asked that my egg be cooked over medium well. It wasn't cooked that way at all and was instead delivered to me as an over easy egg. The toast was just okay but there was no care as to how they buttered it, just a smear of butter in the very center. Hash browns were good. Our service was very very good which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely interested in us as customers. read more

I was passing through. Young man at the hotel where I overnighted suggested Angie's for breakfast. I ordered the Angie's Favorites: scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and biscuits. Being from Texas, I HAVE to have salsa with my eggs. My plate was enormous, the bacon thick, the eggs not dried out, the biscuits (two of them!) were yummy, and I could tell right away that the salsa was homemade. My waitress was young and bubbly and did a good job at toeing the line between being friendly and annoying. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in town. read more

I have wanted to come here for years and for some reason it just never happens! Today I finally made it and it was amazing!! First off all there were at least 20 people waiting when we walked in and typically that means 30+ min wait. Wait was less than 10min, service was great, everyone was kind - even when we dumped water across the table in the first 30 seconds ‍ food was soo good! So many options I have to go back at least 10 times to try it all! I had biscuits and gravy with hash browns and eggs, my boyfriend had pancakes with sausage, bacon and eggs. Portions weren't huge but were perfect! Watching them flip tables after someone left was amazing, too! This place really knows what they are doing! Can't wait to visit again! read more

My hubby and I took a weekend getaway to logan, I found Angie thru this website; and it wasn't a disappointment. We liked it so much we came twice! Once for lunch/breakfast and dinner. Although, the dinner wasn't all that. This is definitely a awesome breakfast place. I had the chocolate chip pancakes! My hubby ordered the 2 eggs/hasbrown 2 sausage patties with rye toast and we really enjoyed it! I didn't give it 5 stars because, I'm one of those ppl who REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY need to be impressed....the wait wasn't a wait at all less then 5 minutes for the first and none at all the second. Received a message from the owners that state the food is not prepackaged....I ask you, how can anyone make all the chicken strips completely uniformed? This is an impossibility unless they have a cutter that prepares all the chicken the same. The food was bland, both times I ate there. Additionally, when you have rude wait staff the last thing you want to do is send your food back. Not enjoying the food at Angie's does not equal me not enjoying the town of Logan. I live here for a reason. I do enjoy Logan. I do not enjoy Angie's. Just because it's on Main does not give it the official mascot title. read more

Stopped in for breakfast with some coworkers, the service was great, everyone was very friendly. Our waitress Haley is a great server and she is very friendly and cheerful. Drive by on our way in to Utah university. We came in for breakfast and place was busy. We were visiting form CA and always like places where people know each other. There are many food choices was not sure what to try, so I ended up with the Sicilian omelette. Sausage was a bit spicy but not overwhelming. It was good but the hasbrowns and toast were nothing special. It was good thought. My fiancé got 3 crepes stuffed and it was pretty good too.
