    Sample broths!
    Jordan O.

4.8/5 I had heard about their Burien location for having more robust seafood selection like crab legs etc. got really excited when I found out they were opening a Kent location 5 minutes from my home. Me and my fiance stopped in for the grand opening. Ambiance - as soon as you walk in, huge space with a ton of seating. Food bar along the right wall nice leather booths along the left wall with cool signage. Service - service was awesome. This was the first Malatang spot I've been to that will actually let you sample the different broths! This was great because I usually always stick with the same flavor because I don't want to try something new and hate. This allowed me to try something new! Food - their Malatang is awesome. They have such a huge selection, probably the most of any other Malatang I've tried. I went with the tom yum and my fiance went with the tomato. Because of the sample broths I now want to come back for the beef and curry options. They offer premium seafood like crab, oysters, lobster! A full sauce bar to customize your own dipping sauces. Because of the vast options i ended up with nearly 2lb bowl lol. My only wish is that they sold rice on the side. This has now become me and my fiancés go to for Malatang. Good food, good service and a wider selection than any other Malatang we've tried. Give them a shot!

My sister recommended this location since it's a dreary day and perfect for the cold weather. The place is spacious and clean. We were greeted when we walked in and were asked if it was our first time. Everything was explained clearly and we went to go fill up our bowls for food. The fridges were set up and labeled although I don't think they were labeled correctly but always double check. We both selected noodles, veggies, tofu, and meats/seafood for our bowl. They were weighed one at a time and we selected our broth and spicy level. I got the tom yum medium and my sister got the golden chicken broth mild. Note that mild is about a 4-5 while medium was 7-8. While waiting for the food to be cooked we made our own sauces from the sauce bar and a few orange slices for afterwards. Food came out and it was delicious. We both enjoyed it. I think the shiitakes were slightly underdone but otherwise it was great. I know my sister wants to take her family there to try it

Casual build your own hot pot. Service was fantastic-- employees checked in with us multiple times. The space and bathroom was clean, spotless, and organized! This place has a huge variety of toppings (including lobster tail) and is very fresh! They also provide complimentary water and tea. The huge plus of this place is that you get to sample different broths! I got the tom yum broth medium spice and it was bland and not spicy at all.

The service was friendly and helpful and offered samples of the broths! Heads up, if you have a nut allergy let them know because some of the broths has nuts. I had the tom yum broth and it was so good! Just enough sour. Enjoyed all the ingredients you can choose from and the whole space felt pretty clean. Lots of seating and a sauce bar to creat your own concoction! I'll be back to try more.

Came out here on a Monday for lunch and surprisingly it wasn't busy! Large restaurant, very clean, lots of seatings when you first enter This is pay by the lb at $14.99/lb a minimum of 1 lb and if you want to add lobster tail I believe it's $11.99 per tail. The veggies are fresh, lots of options and everything was clean and store properly. Once you pick out everything and add it to your bowl you go weigh it at the cashier Very much appreciate that they allow sample tasting of each broth. I went with the tom yum and I do like my tom yum on the sour side and it was! Overall: Excellent service, friendly staff, clean environment and yummy soup!

New malatang spot that's off to a solid start. Plenty of parking, and the space feels fresh, clean, and open. The ingredient selection is where they shine--lots of fresh options, especially on the seafood side. Crab legs and lobster in a build-your-own bowl? Say less. Soup base options had a nice variety. I went with the tom yum--it was decent, but don't expect traditional Thai flavors. It leaned a bit sweeter than expected. Sauce bar was just okay--limited choices and nothing standout, but it gets the job done. Overall: great setup, strong ingredient lineup, just a few tweaks needed to level up.

    Inside very clean

First time in they let you sample the broth. I picked the Thai broth which I thought was awesome and we had a couple other different broths that were also very good. The counter where you pick your food from was very clean. All the dishes were full and it looked very organized. Staff was very friendly. I think average is going to be 20 bucks a bowl unless you're a big eater. Cars were $12 $15 and $20

Our first time here and first impression is impressive in the concept. Pick your own veggies and choices of meats and seafoods plus additional add ons. Quality of meats and seafoods is pretty good and vegetables are fresh. After filling the gigantic bowls of ingredients it's time to head over the counter to weigh it as it is charged by the pound so you can customize your bowl. Then you get 7 choices of soup base. We had the Mala Red Spicy broth and Tom Yum Fire. Broths are really good and not too salty. They have a station with all the garnishes and chili sauce you can add to taste. The staffs are friendly and very helpful in answering questions since our first time here. Highly recommended. We'll come back again.

First time here and I enjoyed my experience! They have a wide variety of items you can put into your hot pot. Very large seating area, they have multiple brothe to pick from which I definitely appreciate. The service was good, I love how you can sample the broth before trying, I got the curry which you won't see too often at most places. The soup itself was great, the meat was pretty impressive. Overall, I highly recommend and I would come back.

I love trying out new malatang spots, and this place may just replace my current favorite. Once you finish building your bowl and reach the register, they will actually let you taste samples of the broths before you order. I also love their assortment of cold drinks, and how attentive the employees were for a casual type of dining spot. The mala red beef broth was my personal favorite. It definitely gets very spicy if you order any higher than "Slightly" on their spice level.

The service here was top notch. Came in and everything was clean with staff ready to hand you samples of the broth. I ordered the beef broth and it tastes almost like pho broth. Most of the broth is really sweet somehow. It was good to be able to try the broth before ordering and different spice levels for the beef broth. The space for seatings were pretty open. Parking is easy as well. I would come back here for a quick fix of soup since it is nearby. The passion fruit mango drink was so refreshing to pair with the perfect sweetness.

Clean broth that isn't too herby while still maintaining a good tom yum flavor! The selection of toppings is smaller than other places but the real star is the seafood selection such as snow crab, dungeness, scallops or even pay 11.99 for lobster tail! The 15 dollars a lb price comparable to competitors and service is actually more attentive. Definitely will visit on days I don't want to wait in line at YGF

    David T.

This place is similar to all the other Mala tang hot pot places. What makes the place better is the customer service. They're all nice and pleasant throughout our whole visit. They even opened the door for us to enter. They let you sample the different available broth flavors before you commit. This is the game changer especially because they're new. The place is clean and the ambiance is chill. This may become my favorite hot pot spot.

Tomato Broth was good but ingredients were not fresh. Meat was super frozen and they had to open another set up.
