    Beef Chow Fun
    Toma C.

I wasn't unhappy but I felt the food I ordered was too Americanize like the lemon chicken. The sauce for the lemon just too sweet. The chicken was made like katsu but thin and dry. The tofu and mix veggies was good and the beef chow fun yummy yum yum. The orange beef was just okay not anything I would crave. They were out of the pork hash and salted fish. The salted and spicy fish was good but the portions were kind of small for to go. It's authentic Cantonese food but not compared to the San Gabriel valley food.

Spicy Green Bean with Pork (special)

Yum Yum Cafe is a great restaurant! The pea vine in broth was especially good. Very fresh tasting and simply good. The rice stone pot with salted pork (pork belly) and Chinese sausage was pretty good. Instead of stirring up the crisped rice immediately, it might be good to pour a bit of soup broth so that it softens the rice a bit. That's how my family used to use the hard rice on the bottom of the pot and it was good that way. The spicy beans with pork was pretty good. Service was prompt and friendly.

Salted duck egg fried Pumpkin with Salted Egg Yolk

I ordered salted duck egg pumpkin, dried scallop egg white fried rice, and the ginger scallion chicken. The pumpkin was amazing where it was piping hot and crispy. The pumpkin was cut a bit thick in my opinion but the flavor was good. The fried rice was disappointing because I didn't see any scallop nor taste it. It was on the greasy side. The chicken was decent but was on the small side for a half portion. The flavor was good but not what I'm used to where the chicken was salted instead of a soy and oils base. Overall, would come back but skip the fried rice. Seems like a decent place for Chinese comfort foods. This place was clean and easy to get to. The service is also really awesome. I know I just got take out but the cashier was so friendly and offered utensils with any seasoning.

Fried pumpkin, seafood chow mein, fish congee, beef brisket with black pepper, stir fried salty pork and Chinese sausage with cauliflower

My husband and I picked up togo for dinner and food was delicious! I am a pescatarian and there were lots of options for me. We got the fried pumpkin, seafood chow mein, and fish congee - all of which were full of flavor, high quality, and not too salty or greasy like some Chinese restaurants. My husband got the beef brisket and stir fried salted pork and Chinese sausage with cauliflower. We recommend all the dishes we tried today! The owner is super friendly!

The great thing about this place is the food is not greasy or heavy. Usually when I eat Chinese food I feel so heavy and stuffed- not here. The food was better than I expected! This place is no thrills, no alcohol, and we were the only non asian people in the spot. I have to say that this is probably some of the best Chinese food I have had in Seattle and I fully intend to go back!

太好吃了! --- Kind of at the edge of Seattle, the price might give a little surprise. But the unique cooking cuisine, presentation, and taste will comfort customers that this is one of the best. And especially there were a couple dishes not easily found at other locations, if not in other cities. Came in around 3 PM and enjoyed a quiet and family-style lunch. By the way, it closed on Tuesday.

So yummy and the complementary tea is so good. Wish the noodles had a little more flavor but still delicious!

We were welcomed and seated promptly. We were given hot tea. I would like to comeback and try everything on the menu. Very authentic cantonese cuisine and delicious food. I was satisfied with the quality and variety you get.

The food here is really great! Everything perfectly flavored and veggies never overcooked. I especially love the Kung Pao Chicken. Very casual seating. Give this place a try!

Too good to be true Thank you so much for the " bao zai fan" The flavor is number 1 in Seattle area And the service here is unbeatable I love it soooo much

My friend took me here sayin that they have best salty egg chicken !! YES !! They do ! The chicken is so crispy and even when it cool down still crispy ! We had eel rice and Chive flower very tasty ! Not much parking space. Will come back again !

Seeing many people recommended this restaurant, so we specifically gathered with a bunch of friends to try. It was good but not good engouch for an authentic Cantonese cuisine. may be we have too high expectations "The baozai rice is very good, lacks a little aroma and sweetness of the rice, but overall it is tasty "Stir-fried eel slices + eel and tofu soup" : one eel for two dish, skeleton and tail for soup, the American eel is too small, probably cooked in soy sauce, but it's quite different from the Shanghai eel tube and the Guangzhou jelly pot. "Fried tofu" is very tasty and crispy "Bean seedling in Soup" is a very refreshing dish, the egg and soup are very fresh "Chicken with chestnuts" and "Braised lamb belly in pot" and "Duck with bean curd in pot" are too disappointing! The seasoning is basically the same, the bean curd in both dishes is not soft enough, and one of them is burnt. This heavy taste does not reflect the respect of ingredients that Cantonese casseroles should have. Well, anyway it's good in Seattle just because I was expecting too much before coming here.

Service is quick and straightforward. We ordered the pineapple bun with butter, mixed steak plate with black pepper sauce, and spare rib and chinese sausage clay pot. The pineapple bun was large, hot, and crispy with the sugary crust, although I wish the slab of butter was a bit bigger because it gets a little dry after you run out of butter. My boyfriend really enjoyed his mixed steak plate - it came with a pork steak and beef steak, steamed rice, and steamed veggies. The meat was fine but the real winner was the savory sauce! The clay pots take 20-30 minutes to cook which they tell you ahead of time, so be aware my boyfriend was about done with his food when the clay pot came out. This was a delicious classic dish reminiscent of the clay pots back in Hong Kong! I poured in a ton of sauce and it really gets absorbed into the hot rice and meat. The steamed bok choy was a nice refreshing touch. Our favorite bite was the crunchy rice at the bottom of the pot mixed with the delicious sauce. There's so many menu items that caught our eye and we'd love to come back and try it all! Hearty, delicious no-frills meals.

For most people, I feel that we find a Chinese restaurant and if we like it, we commit forever. I haven't had Fortune Garden and felt adventurous, was not disappointed in taste though I'd be interested in comparing value across the shops in Chinatown. They have some nice lunch combos, but sucks that they don't provide soup for takeout. Could substitute with a rice or something! Honey Walnuts Prawns - honey walnut shrimp is such a classic, easily one of my favorites from childhood and still near the top of my list. I don't know if it's the takeout container, but the quantity with respect the box was disappointing. Felt like there was less shrimp and walnuts compared to what I'm used to, but I think I also pay closer to $22-25 for the dish (the one here was $20). Minced Pork with Green Bean - now this was a hefty box, lots of green beans tossed with the classic XO sauce and a solid amount of pork. Honestly not much to comment on, this was a hearty dish and very comforting. Would recommend for green bean or string bean lovers.

This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.

I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles.
