We came here for Mongolian grill and we got Mongolian grill!! It seems like the "trick" here was to pile up the veggies first, then pile on the noodles after (because it doesn't fall over as easily. People were getting extremely tall "bowls" of food. The protein, the staff adds rather than us. Note for myself next time: add a LOT more sauce than the board recommends. They gave a shocking amount of meat (clearly not a sentiment shared by everyone in the comments, but I was astounded by how they really shoved the chicken into that container) and rice! When I come again I might skip the noodles and do a veggie meat stir fry to eat just with the rice. Also, I like the side sauce bar! The sauce choices are also adequate... diluted a bit but they still result in a flavorful dish. One of the things I enjoy is the table of "finishing sauces" that you can add after your dish comes off the grill. Downside, it's not all you can eat, $15 gets you a good size bowl that you can fill as tall as you like and you get 1 protein included. I wish they offered bigger bowls or let you use more than one bowl for the price that charge. Additionally, the ingredients here are definitely not as fresh as others have mentioned. The chow mein noodles were all broken and dry when I got it from the self-serve area and even after it was all cooked. Additionally, as other reviewers have mentioned the sauces are very watered down and I knew this and added several sauces to try to get a flavor. However, it did nothing and I barely got any hint of flavors from any of the sauces I used. It wasn't until after I received my food and we got to the sauce station that you can get more sauces. Unfortunately, you can only get 3 sauce cups per order but the sauce cups are puny. The cajun, spicy peanut, and mushroom sauces were all delicious and the biggest save for the experience. The meat was also those very thin and cheap cuts you would use for like hot pot rather than Mongolian grill. I wish it was more juicy cuts for the price you're paying for but it seems the theme of this restaurant is stingy and cheap. The dining area and self-serve area was relatively clean and I appreciated that they had a small table with different condiments and sauces to top off your finished food too. The fountain drink area was clean as well. As for service, it was non-existent. We didn't get greeted or told how to go about starting our Mongolian grill. They have signs but I don't think they are really placed in the ideal spots to let you know. We saw a family come in and they were just standing at the door awkwardly. It took them about several minutes and looking around before they realized it was a self-service Mongolian grill. I really like this restaurant. Their vegetables are always fresh and plentiful, so many selections; spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, bean sprouts, sliced onions and green onions, celery cabbage and more! They have several noodle choices as well. I have found their sauces are always consistent. A lot of these grills don't seem to be consistent and here they always are. You choose your meat from Beef, pork, chicken seafood or tofu. Then they cook it all together on the hot grill. The sauces to use after it is cooked are excellent and full of flavor. You have fresh veggies and noodles. The veggie selection was a little light, but it looked fresh, which was good. I got the tofu as my protein, and it was a little on the skimpy side, but again, it was fresh. Sauces are a little different (peanut sauce???) and I didn't't find a Mongolian curry sauce I typically go for in these places. The sauces tasted bottled, but that is the case at all Mongolian grills. Quantity: Mongolian grills used to be where you went to get a towering mountain of food for cheap that will last you for 3 meals. This is not that, and if you come here, come with the expectation that this is a single meal. Service: they cook it, you eat it, and leave. This place use to be our favorite place to go after work, there was an elderly gentleman that was the owner, he was amazing our first visit, when we can up to the grill he encouraged us to put more food in the bowls and we fell in love with this place. He was always super friendly and welcoming when we can there. As mentioned in other comments the prices have sky rocketed and not inline with inflation. We have noticed the bowls use to be deeper and held more noodles than they do now. I would say their noodles are much better than other places.. So apparently Mongolian grill places are a thing I have missed out on for most of my life. I have been passing this one for years on my way to go grocery shopping. It's a large unassuming dining room, dominated by the ingredients bar. Today was the day. This kind of place is perfect for me: healthy stir-fry where I get to control all of the elements except the actual cooking, which was handled by the staff on their giant flat grill. As simple as it is, the pricing and how much you can/should take wasn't clear. Pay by the weight? One price? Still not totally sure, and I noticed I had a much smaller serving of food than most people. Rookie here apparently. Next time I might skip the noodles (three kinds!) to load up on more veggies since unbeknownst to me, they hand you back your dish with a serving of white rice. I choose tofu as my protein, and some hot peanut sauce to top it with after cooking. The prices range around $11 for a small bowl that you need to make sure you pack to the brim to get your money's worth. There are ingredients like lo mein noodles, cabbage, carrots, onions, and some of the more basic ingredients you would hope to find in Mongolian Grill and you choose one meat for them to stir fry with your concoction. One aspect of this restaurant that wasn't too "customer friendly" was the sauce area leaves much to interpretation - watered down ground ginger and garlic were a big turn off when mixing my sauces for the plate. The soda area was sticky a looked like it wasn't cleaned in quite some time. Overall, the food is fresh because they are stir frying the ingredients in front of you but this place is definitely one of most mediocre Mongolian grill joints I've been to. First fill your bowl with smaller sliced vegetables( I.e. carrots, mushrooms, zucchini, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, etc) then add bulkier vegetables such as broccoli , onions, and green peppers. And because the plate comes with rice, top your bowl with a sparing amount of noodles. The vegetables were fresh, however I would have like to see the more expensive vegetables added to the buffet, like pea pods, asparagus, red peppers. Service was efficient. I used to go to this place all of the time. The food was decent and at least twice a week, I would eat there. One day I ordered my food and I had 5 sauces filled up. 5 was what I usually get. The owner, a male with glasses, asked me to take out of my bag what sauces I have. I was like what the heck? SO I took them out. I had 5 sauces. Now on all my previous visits he never asked about my sauces. But this day he did. He told me I had too many sauces. I asked him where was the sign for the limit on sauces? He did not have one. I then asked him how many is too many? He said, the amount I had was too many. Even though I have had this many sauces, at least, on all my previous visits. He then decided to charge me for what he called, extra sauce. I was so upset. I asked him why he was willing to lose a customer over sauces, that he never used to charge me for, DURING A PANDEMIC!!? He did not answer me. Their food is not good enough to treat customers like this. This man is lucky his business is still open during a pandemic! Their food is out and not really covered. With Covid and the new Omicron variant, it is probably not safe to eat there anyway without catching something. Well you can catch something or catch the owners attitude. I have been coming here for about 20 years and have always loved the food but they are really getting cheap and stingy. I order pork PLUS shrimp and for $8 extra I get 5 prawns... they also charge extra $ for a plastic bag if I want to carry my food out. On top of all of this, after I paid $18 for my entree they limit the sauce you are "allowed" to put on it. I watch the chefs cook it. They don't put much pork or shrimp in it for the price and when I watch them sloppily mixing it while cooking he kept dropping my veg and pork pieces off to the side that never made it on my plate. Then the icing on the cake is that they were out of mushroom sauce, I asked her for more from the back and she told me they were not going to make more. This was during business house and a couple hours before close but you are really telling me the kitchen. Is too lazy to open a can of cream of mushroom soup? This is getting ridiculous. Not the largest selection and not all you can eat. The meat is portioned out in a ramekin(!) and the lady gives it to you at the end when you turn over your bowl. Rookie move is putting noodles on your one allowed bowl, and trying to balance all the veggies on top. Pro tip from the guy behind me: heap your bowl of veggies then use a noodle "wig" to hold everything down. The greed factor at Jasmine's in Federal Way has me eating way too much food. If you get everything balanced just so, you will end up with a full styrofoam container of food. That being said, it's a pretty satisfying lunch if you're out there at TJ's or PCC. read more

I went to lunch with my boyfriend yesterday and we were looking for something in the area - there were your standard fast food joints, pho (that almost won), and Khan's. I haven't had Mongolian Grill in SO LONG so I chose Khan's! Even bigger of a bonus? I saw it was in my bookmarks after I checked in. Don't you love when that happens? It's in a strip mall type of area with a few grocery stores and some other shops. It's pretty unassuming on the outside, which matches the inside. It's more hole-in-the-wall than anything else, but hey, they've got an "excellent" health safety rating! One thing that's kind of a bummer about this place is that it's not all-you-can-eat. Jasmine Mongolian Grill in Kent (my old go-to) is, so I'm used to that. It'd be super rare that I could eat that much, but having that option was nice! The prices here are pretty fair though - $9.95 for lunch and $10.95 for dinner and weekends. You build your own dish here like at most Mongolian Grill spots. Grab and bowl and get to piling! I did Yakisoba noodles, bamboo shoots, baby corn, zucchini, broccoli, beef, garlic, soy sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Sooo yum. You also get your meal served with a side of white rice. The food was extremely good and the serving size ended up being a lot more than what I thought. The bowls you get are sooo small (or they look like it) so I wasn't thinking I'd leave this place full. First time trying Mongolian grill type restaurant in greater seattle area and I thoroughly enjoyed it! There were a lot of vegetables and sauce options. I mostly did a combination of teriyaki and Mongolian sauce which turned out really well. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! NO ONE welcomes you, talks to you or says anything to you when you first enter. Good luck and look around to read their half directions. You get in line and can only take a child size bowl to get your veggies, noodles and sauce. You then get to the meat station and are allowed 1 meat choice that fills a ramekin, no joke a ramekin AND if you want more it will cost extra. Your food is then taken to the grill which the meat is cooked with no sauce, water, butter or anything. Halfway through your meat cooking your bowl of goods is added. Food is over done and not placed in front of you where you're standing but to the other side of the stand area but hey you get rice ...once done you find your own seat, go grab your own water (pop is extra). The food OMG I CAN'T, IT WAS FLAVORLESS, OVERCOOKED AND DRY... You can opt to get sauce but only allowed 3 half size jello shot cups, any more than that you pay 50 cents each extra. Not impressed at all. For 3 people to have ONE bowl and a drink it cost $40.00. There are not specifications on the menu boards that it is only ONE bowl. So I made a moderate sized bowl of veggies to ensure I did not waste food (thinking I could go back for more) I have never been to a Mongolian Grill in which there was not an all you can eat. We have been eating here every Tuesday for over 20 years. Food quality is great! During the current Covid-19 situation, the restaurant is OPEN!! However, there is no dining in the restaurant and once you have filled your bowl and your meal is cooked, it will be given to you in a "to-go" container so you may eat it wherever you are staying safe. Food serving hand gloves and hand sanitizer are available to keep you safe while you gather your fresh veggies and sauces. Attempted to sit down and the lady behind the counter out put up an X with her arms insinuating that we could not sit down. If you don't want to create the perception of discrimination against your customers, put down signs or come and politely explain the situation. Don't just throw up an X with your arms it's rude. For those like me, who are used to Mongolian grills being all you can eat affairs, I'll explain how this is different but why it is an overall better experience. 1. You only get to fill 1 bowl. But it's plenty big and you don't need to put meat in, just veggies and noodles. 2. The meat portions are controlled. But it's fresh and the portion is perfect sized! 3. Sauce/seasoning situation is create your own adventure kinda thing with some guidance offered. That's similar to change or other buffet style. 4. The child price just gets you a smaller bowl. It was plenty for our 2 young kids to share. For the price you get more food than you should eat at once, and the meat is fresh and everything tastes great. We'll be back frequently. This place is tucked in next to Trader Joe's and is always busy, but they move you through the line quickly and they get you your food fast also. This is NOT an all you can eat place! Which bothered me at first, but the vegetables seem really fresh and not wilted like other places. You get 1 bowl to fill with veggies and noodles, when you pay you tell them the protein you want. If you have never been I recommend looking at all the veggies first, put the small cut ones on the bottom and add bigger cut veggies on top. If your veggies start to over flow, pack it down. Right before getting the noodles, pack your veggies down again... then get sauce and oil. Then add noodles to top. Most people do this, so don't worry if the place is busy and you are wandering around adding stuff to the bowl in a random order. Each plate also comes with a scoop of white rice. There is also a hot bar where they have usually 6 - 8 sauces you can add to your plate or put in a cup and add later. read more
