Our favorite Fried Rice (with barbecued pork)

Angkor has become our go-to for Asian delivery. I'll have to remember to take some pics next time. First off, they are meticulous in packing orders. Anything that could spill or seep is wrapped in plastic. Every container is placed carefully in the bag so that nothing can fall over. And after more than a dozen orders, they've never made a mistake. Next of course is the food. We've tried a good chunk of their menu and everything has been phenomenal. Their Fried Rice is probably the best we've had. The broth for their Wonton soup puts everyone else to shame. The Chicken Wings are craveable. My wife absolutely loves their Crispy Walnut Shrimp. Anything that includes a sauce isn't drowned in it, and anything intended to be sweet isn't cloying. One caution; if you order anything labeled as spicy, especially their Cambodian dishes, they're not kidding about the heat. Last time I ordered the Kung Pao Beef and added a note to keep the spice level reasonable, and they nailed it.

Takeout: chicken chow mein, chicken egg foo yung, chicken broccoli, white rice and chicken fried rice (few cream cheese wontons)

Angkor was a pleasant surprise! Drove from Maple Grove for takeout because there aren't any good classic Chinese American restaurant around anymore. It was worth the drive to get the food how we like it and they did it! Plus... they actually use REAL chicken! Sad to say that many restaurants use cheap grade chicken, but Angkor has quality! Food: Cream Cheese Wontons- a little on the sweet side... they were nice and crispy, but almost dessert like. 3/5 Chicken Egg foo yung- I loved it crispy and the sauce was rich and flavorful. 5/5 Chicken chow mein- this is what my hubby was craving and it satisfied the cravings! Thick gravy and tasted how we wanted it and the chicken was nice quality. 5/5 Chicken Fried Rice- The rice had nice flavor, but I prefer a little more soy taste. We will request next time. 4/5 Chicken Broccoli- once again, the chicken was real and white meat. Sauce reminded us of a peppery garlic Vietnamese style chow mein. I really liked it and would order again. 4/5 Only paid around $40 and had 3-4 meals with the leftovers! Thanks Angkor! We will be back and tell others about your restaurant!

Once again. So tasty. Hot and fresh. Give it a good stir before indulging. As always it's 2-3 meals in one

We had a little trouble finding it. It's way back in a little strip mall and the snow banks in the parking lot were huge. It is a really small place with only four tables but we saw a lot of takeout while we were there. Each time the front door opened we got a rush of cold air. The food made up for all of this. I had the combo Kung Pao Chicken which was very good. I like some spice and it was good without asking for more spice. We also had pork with pea pods which was also tasty. Tiny place with huge flavor.

Good food good price. They wrap the boxes in cellophane to make sure that your food stays hot when you get home. Quick friendly service.

Food was excellent. I had the chicken lemon grass and it was very good. And the spring rolls are huge - a meal in itself.

They have limited drink selections found in the fridge. Unfortunately, when we were there, they were out of regular soft drinks and had only diet. The restaurant was small with limited seating, so we felt lucky to have a table. The atmosphere wasn't much, but the food was spot on - very flavorful and quite delicious! We had the special pho, the bun bo hue and oyster chicken wings. Everything was super delicious. We would try this spot again!

The noodle salad was good, lots of chicken but it was missing pickled daikon and carrots it just had lettuce onions and I had to ask for fish sauce dressing because they forgot that as well. Sesame chicken was good but not really a sesame chicken it's more garlicky and salty missing sweetness. My kid ate it but wasn't her favorite, I thought it was really good but maybe they should call it garlicky chicken. The chicken fried rice was really good lots of flavor. The service was really off. We came in and they told us to order up front and sit down anywhere . After we ordered they told us wait until they clear back row mean while there was a whole row of tables open in front. So we stood awkwardly for a while, as they cleaned the back row of the tables it was weird. Otherwise they were nice.

Parking was easy on the lot behind the building, next to the Big White House. The building must be having renovations as there was scaffolding all around it, with a main staircase entryway covered to protect people from things falling. We walked in and I was impressed by the look of the entryway. Rich architecture history from the old post office. We waited for a hostess to either take our name or bring us to a table but no one ever came. There was 2 women with 2 kids sat at a low table in the entryway, near the bathroom. And I could see the dining room filled with families with little kids. I observed that no one was eating but had water glasses filled. I saw a little boy (4yo??) walk out of the dining room, across the front entrance behind the hostess table and down an empty corridor.... no adult?? And then I watched one of the women at the low top table get up, walk down that same empty corridor and come back a few moments later a little perturbed. She muttered something to her table mate that piqued my interest. After seeing their empty water glasses and milk cups (kids), I asked if THEY had been served yet. The other lady said they had been waiting for over an hour. Everything was starting to add up. No one was eating. We hadn't been greeted after standing there for about 10 mins. I never saw any waitstaff either. Nope, not gonna do that. And we walked out. Maybe I'll try again, maybe I won't. Time will tell.

The ribeyes arrived in three pieces, cooked on all edges and definitely not to ordered temperature. Who precuts and cooks a ribeye steak like that?!? Brussels sprouts were burnt on one side. Service provider disappeared for 20+ minutes at a time. Disappointing all around. I would not recommend this place!

Would love to see some more signs outside advertising their delicious food! There is free parking! They also do free delivery within the 2 mile radius of the restaurant. Walking in the vibe here is off... it is the only reason I took one star away. I was wearing very casual clothing, but walked in to see white table cloths and water glasses. I was expecting to see bright Caribbean colors and fun decor on the walls! I really think that is the direction they should go with this place! If they want to go the "fancier" route, then I would say they need to take the TV's down, take the juke box out, change the floors and repaint the walls. That would give it a more "upscale" feel. So as far as vibes go, I'd say it just feels confusing and forced currently. The service here was wonderful! Very attentive and polite! I also saw my waitress consistently working! She was folding napkins, cleaning and assisting customers! She was great! The food: Very good! I got the Montego Bay pasta and jerk chicken wings! I added shrimp to the pasta and they were cooked to perfection! The pasta had great flavors as well! The jerk chicken wings had a great seasoning but were a tad dry. Add the sauce! It packs a punch of flavor and definitely added to the tastiness of the wings!! I took half of my food home and had my boyfriend try it. He loved it! We will definitely be back!
