John Jr. and Jon the father and son combo who run Angler's Arsenal and Western Plastics (the company name for their custom plastic lures) are stand-up guys! I came in to Angler's Arsenal this weekend after having a disappointing day at one of the local lakes. I came here in search of some professional fishing guidance and some tackle suggestions. What I received from Jon was on point: * Friendly and more than willing to help answer my questions. * No short answers nor quick 'Yes' responses I've encountered at many other tackle shops. * In depth description of their custom-made plastics (Western Plastics). * Suggestions on bait that is working and how to work them. * I learned that they sell individual plastics which means you can buy onesies and twosies of 4" straight tail worms, 6" curly tail worms, 9" fat worms, 3" craw daddies, 3" flukes, 5" flukes, small frogs, large frogs, etc. etc. in several color and pattern choices! (This is great because you no longer need to purchase full packs of plastic bait and you can 'sample' various items until you find what you like and what works best at your fishing hole!). I will absolutely be coming back to Angler's Arsenal for most, if not all of my fishing gear needs! It's just like the other reviewers say, it's a great place to get attitude-free advice and the guys are nice as can be and it comes across as very genuine. I had them spool up 3 good sized reels and replace a broken rod tip and I'm very satisfied with the price and the experience. I wasn't really sure what I wanted the reels spooled with and (I don't remember his name but it's not the owner) was really helpful and even saved me some money. I was planning to remove the braid off two of the reels as they were bought second hand and I wasn't sure how good the braid was but he inspected it and said it looks great and to save my money and just put a top shot on. Honesty like that is pretty hard to come by! I'm glad I tried this place (due to the yelp reviews) and I'll be coming back here anytime I have the need. Thanks guys! read more

I have used them many times. Last week I ordered a Seeker 6470 rush shipping for my Dads Birthday. Shipping went from free on the website to$7.00 to $30.00. The Rod never came so I called and they said they will get it right to me. It took 8 days not overnight needless to say I didn't have it for my Dad's Birthday. I then Asked Angler's Arsenal to refund my shipping and get me the rod. The rod that came in and it was the wrong rod. I called back and they said it was seeker and he would follow up with it. I then told I would even buy the wrong rod if he would give me a deal on it. He said no and Seeker was looking into what was going on. I had to call him again and ask what was going on he said he gave seeker the wrong # so he was sorry. I said it was ok just take off the shipping and send the rod. He would not I then got in touch with seeker. What nice guys they said they would help me and sorry for Angler's Arsenal and that they will talk to them. They also said the rod should of got to me the next day with out the $30.00 charge they were also sorry about that. I had to go to my bank to get my money back and seeker is picking up the wrong rod that was sent to me. This is what Angler's Arsenal had the nerve to write me after 2 weeks of them saying they wouldn't refund all of amount I paid. Hi again Joe, So let me get this straight. You say Seeker is sending a ups tag tor you so you can return the rod. Great. Angler's Arsenal was going to reverse the charge we made on your credit card. Are you now saying that you have talked with your bank and they are going to refund you the entire amount. What are you thinking? Did you think we would not issue you your complete credit? Angler's Arsenal will run your credit. Please advise your bank there is no need for them to refund you anything. I will wait till I hear back from you. Now remember, we were going to send you out that G6470-7 for the complete price we charge you. I hope you can come close to matching that price if you do desire that rod model and purchase it somewhere else. My experience with Angler's Arsenal was amazing. I went in to have 2 hooks replaced on an old swim bait found in my garage. I think it was Chuck behind the counter who helped me(sorry if I get the name wrong). He found the hooks I needed and offered to put them on the lure. He could have just done that and I would have been happy. Instead he went the extra mile and gave the lure a thorough run through and made sure every fin was intact and put some extra glue on spots that needed it. It didn't stop there. After completing the sale, he gave advice on different retrieves I could use for the type of fish I was going for. I will definitely return to Angler's Arsenal for any future tackle needs.
