The customer service is excellent here Jade showed the upmost respect and was very Knowledgable about all the menu items also about the different heat levels that they offer for their chicken. As far as the food goes the chicken is lacking Flavor it has the heat but not flavor that is a big upset. The fries are well seasoned and are pretty good. You get a large portion of food with your meal you won't be disappointed in that part. This place does bring the heart in their Rub they don't mess around so be careful. This is not a place that I would go out of my way to have it was nice to try it the next Time I decide to go I'm going to get their hottest chicken and sign the waiver just to say I have tried it. read more

Not sure if manager is aware of what's going on at this restaurant but staff is very unprofessional. Bad/rude attitude, too much fooling around in the kitchen. Food takes forever because people in the kitchen wouldn't stop chatting and horsing around. And they do not cover their mouths when coughing/sneezing on customers' food. I tried Angry Chickz while driving through Bakersfield to visit family friends last week. For starters: Everyone on here is complaining about the flies. Yes, flies are gross around food and yes, flies are abundant during summer time. However, keep in mind that this location JUST opened so there might still be some flaws...BUT those flaws can easily be addressed and fixed. I politely approached one of the workers and recommended that they get the situation under control because as a customer, it's not a pleasing sight. He genuinely apologized for the situation and informed me that the team was working on putting up their fans as soon as possible. They earned their 5 stars for their honesty because they kept their word. My family friend returned to the location today and said that the fans are actually up and there were no flies. Now, let's talk food: I got the medium sliders(the spice level was just right) and it came with fries. The chicken was tasty and even though I'm not the biggest fan of coleslaw, the house made slaw was yummy. My friend also got the loaded Mac and cheese and that was really tasty. The art work on the wall is really cool, specially the Kobe tribute. I would highly recommend the people focusing on the flies to fly back (or drive back) to Angry Chickz and give it another try because within a week, the team has stepped it up big time. Wow this place was delicious!!! I ordered their combo with a chicken sandwich and a slice of bread with chicken and man I could barely finish the chicken sandwich itself lol. It was delicious and flavorful with the addition of the cole slaw and their specialty sauce they provide. The fries were decent but with the sauce they tasted better. Finally made it to this side of town. I went after 1pm on a weekday thinking that I would miss a line. Boy was I wrong. Since they are still practicing the social distancing guidelines It took about 35 minutes in line just to get to the front to order. Once inside it was about another 10 minutes for me to get my food. The inside of the place looks great , they have a super cool murial honoring several people (kobe and Madonna and Elvis I think?) super dope art. The restaurant itself is mostly taken up by a huge counter in the middle, maybe when this quarantine dies down it will be like bar seating? Employees were all great and polite and the restaurant itself was extremely clean, something I paid extra attention to since previous reviews had mentioned cleanliness. Now to the food. I ordered a combo 1 With one medium and one hot slider with everything on it, for some reason you can't upgrade your fries to angry fries which was a real drag (minus 1 star) . I had to order them separately and the combo doesn't come with a drink Combo =13$ Fries =7$ These aren't your typical "sliders" it's a regular sized bun, I know I could put them both down but for others you are fine off sharing The slaw on the sandwiches and fries is great. Not too much mayo and not too sweet. It complemented the spice of the chicken very with with the nice tang from the pickles. It was a great sandwich and dare I say , much tastier than chic-Fil-A *gasp* the chicken was so moist and crispy and actually had a nice heat to it considering I got medium and mild. I am very curious to see how spiciest chicken is since I am Mexican and I love salsa but I think my stomach may hate me if I tried the one that you must sign a waiver for. I'm getting too old I guess. The fries were the most surprising. They're thick, crispy and have the right amount of seasoning. They were even better in the angry fries. I thought they would just be topped with sauce /slaw/ and pickles but they also had chunks of chicken inside. Finally got a chance to try the new spot and came to the conclusion that it's way too hyped up for what it is. I ordered the combo number 1 with a side of Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese is horrible. Very disappointing, bland, flavorless, just nasty. The actual chicken isn't bad, could use more flavor, but it's okay. The slaw on top is actually really good. The portions are quite large and could easily feed two people. Prices were fair, can't complain. The staff was also very sweet and helpful! Brownie points Overall it's a good spot for Bakersfield since we don't have anything like it thus far. I'd still recommend trying it! Our visit was during COVID, we had to wait outside for 3 minutes or so and a additional 2 or 3 inside. The cashier did let us know prior to ordering that they were only serving take out orders. There are a total of four combos. I ordered the combo 1, which came with two sliders and fries Mx my hubby ordered a combo 2, which consisted of 1 slider and one strip with a piece of white bread and fries. You get the choice of which sauce you want on your chicken. We also grabbed a side of Mac and cheese for our little one. I also asked for my coleslaw on the side.Each combo comes with their secret signature sauce. We only waited for about 5 minutes and our food was done. After the first bite I already knew this chicken was spicy asl! Our food was fresh. The sliders are not your average slider. The bun is the size of a regular hamburger bun. The portions are nice but it's definitely got some kick. So if spice is your thing you'll enjoy this spot. The Mac and Cheese wasn't my sons favorite though. Definitely go there for the chicken burgers. They are so good the seasoning is to die for I only got my mildly hot because I'm not one of those people that can handle it, I wish I could because it tasted that good it was so fresh. For what they offer, it was good. I have never liked any type of coleslaw but I decided to give theirs a try. I actually liked it!!! I recommend to try it on the side just in case you don't like it. The sauce they have is good on the sandwich, just not good by itself or if you want to dip your fries in there. The fries are also very good. As a pickle lover, I REGRET not asking for some more on the side, they were so good! I got combo #3 medium heat. It was refreshing, I got in before the crazy lunch rush. All the employees were great, I was asked multiple times if they could get anything for me. Customer service 5/5 The food on the other hand... Wasn't completely up to Pat but they are a new restaurant, so we should all give them a chance to get things right I got a Mac n cheese bowl without fries and extra Mac... The Mac was overcooked (but in all fairness Mac n cheese is very hard to get right, especially for fast food). But it lacked real cheese flavor in my opinion and needed to be hotter. The big thing for me was the chicken didn't have a good skin. It was pretty thin and soggy. You can wipe the chicken skin off with your finger. Which tells me they've just been doing so much business that oil isn't quite up to temperature (easy fix, gotta let the oil come back up to temp in between batches and you're good. The manager was very nice and he offered to remake everything and fix the problem (I had lost my appetite) but I'm a very picky eater. My personal preference would be to have buckys hot shot chairs Coen instead, but again we should give Amgry Chicks a chance to perfect there craft with there new crew. I'll give their customer service 5 stars. As I waited for my order I noticed all the workers hustling to clean, make sure people were taken care of, and getting orders out as quick as possible. The owner looked sleep deprived but he kept checking in on customers and trying to keep the line moving as smoothly as possible. The food was just between ok and good. The Mac and cheese was very bland and the pasta was way overcooked for my taste buds. Very mushy feeling. So we definitely would not order it again. I ordered two number 3's one medium and one hot. The medium was at a comfortable level. The chicken is seasoned with a dry rub. The slaw could use some tweaking. The fries were a 4 in my book. Very crunchy and well seasoned. Wow. This was an amazing experience. I got the combo #3 which come with a strip on toasted slice, a chicken sandwich and fries. I went with angry on the slice of toast and hot in the chicken sandwich. It was delicious. Angry is just like the name states. Exactly what I wanted. Good lasting heat. Created a little angry challenge with the fam at home. The sandwich had a delicious cole slaw and the sauce was spot on. The fries are seasoned and sealed at all together. I had high hopes from this place. I love spicy food so I'm very excited to try their spicy chicken. I ordered their plate #4; Medium heat chicken with buttered rice and coleslaw. My chicken looked like it was fried then coated with red spices. The chicken was dry and the red coating actually made some parts of the chicken a little bitter, not sure if the bitter taste had something to do with the spices. The rice was basmati with butter but that's all. Nothing extra ordinary about it. I really tried liking the plate I ordered but it got to the point that I didn't even finish 1 piece of chicken. Similar to a wingstop tender strip but without the excess batter. This batter is awesome. But there's no crunch sometimes and I know some people need that. This spices for hot chicken are solid not very complex but good! Medium is pushing the edge for a lot of ppl. It is perfect in a sandwich and pretty hot just as a strip by itself so be careful. Sauce isn't as good as others in my opinion but works. Bun and slaw are really good! Fries get the job done. Give them a C+ or B- in my opinion. Best eaten immediately.
