Since the restaurant is promoting my favorite blog on the drive thru window, I decided to assist with the tormenting truth. Why did I have to wait for room temperature food? Why? Its Sunday 1:40pm and I have never been to this place and needed to find out what they hype is about, "Nashville Hot Chicken." So tell me why the Manager is sitting behind the counter on his a$$! Service was very blah in the drive thru to top it all off. Given the location in arguably the worst shopping center in town, the horrible configuration of the parking lot, the high price, uninspired service and just ok food, I probably won't be back. Employees were very friendly, courteous and got my order correct, remembering to include utensils and sauce. I ordered the Hangry Bowl (tenders, cold slaw, rice and Mac and cheese). I declined the rice so I can't add that to my review. The tenders were slightly overcooked but tasted okay. The Mac and cheese lacked favor, was bland and undercooked. The cold slaw was crunchy however bland as well. After seeing Angry Chickz advertisements on Instagram, I really wanted to love this place because the food looked so delicious. Food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Made sure to ask us if we were sure we wanted the spice level we ordered. They ran out of sauce, but the manager and team grabbed the bottles of sauce and was able to provide us with 4 side sauces. Over all place is ok, definitely overrated. Fries were cold on one of my combos. I did wanted to give it a shot even though is probably in the worst locations in Stockton. Chicken is spicy for sure but no crisp. One thing I didn't like was the place had to many flies inside the establishment. My husband picked this up for dinner. Some co workers said it was really good. I got the Angry Mac. I couldn't find a description online. It's fries, chicken and Mac and cheese. I got medium. The whole thing has no flavor. The fries were ok, the chicken seemed decent quality but lacked flavor. The Mac and cheese consistency was good, noodles a little mushy but a gooey consistency, but literally flavorless noodles. All of it was topped with paprika which has a hint of sweetness to me and absolutely does not belong on top. Cayenne maybe... but not paprika. I am not happy with this location. I asked for a mild combo and a medium. The girl did not even label the box that was mild and you could tell she was confused when I asked her which one had the mild sandwiches. I ordered mild for my mom because she has Gerd and the poor lady's mouth was on fire so they actually did not even make a mild and medium box because both boxes were spicy. The medium at the Sac location is not even this spicy. The fries were way over salted to the point where you could not even eat them. They don't even offer their special sauce openly like the sacramento location. You have to specifically ask for a small container and they are very stingy with it. I was disappointed to find out that the combo didn't come with a drink, so I had to order a drink on the side. In terms of the service, my server did not include napkins and forks for my friends, who ordered food that required it, so I had to go back into the drive-thru to get them some. Not to mention, I almost paid for the wrong order and I had to double check with my cashier to make sure my group order was correct. In terms of the actual food, I was quite disappointed. I found my chicken and fries to be quite dry and a bit flavorless, making it very difficult for me to eat. Also, 10 minutes after I finished my food, I had a bad reaction in my stomach and I did not have a fun time in the bathroom. For around $18.50 without tax, I wouldn't come back. The girl up front apologized to me so many times and she was such a nice girl and was doing her best. She was going back and forth from inside orders and to taking some outside to people I don't removed her name. At some point she said she was going to make the order for me and the lady in the back with red hair told her that she had to wait even after I've been waiting an hour. The girl apologized again and gave me a drink for waiting. I had to leave and come later luckily the order was done but the nice girl had made it for me.
