Online ordering was simple enough. It was ready in less than 15 minutes. They place your physical order at the front in lockers. Your name unlocks the box. Very high tech and simple. We were in and out in a minute. The food was fresh and warm. I would compare the actual sandwich size to a McDonald's breakfast sandwich so I was glad I had ordered 2 for my husband. I had the fried green tomatoes with egg whites added on. The biscuits are pillowy and buttery soft and the green tomatoes crisp. Something different and indulgent. Must visit if you're in the area for a quick yet satisfying bite.

I cook often and never see food swimming in oil like that, and I doubt it was a healthy kind. The flavors weren't terrible, but they weren't good either, and the greasiness completely ruined it for me. I remember Panda Express being decent years ago, but this visit wasn't great, and I don't see myself going back.

I was able to figure this out because when our order got short by a significant amount of food, I went looking to see if I could get this resolved at the restaurant. meanwhile, DoorDash was failing significantly (doorDash resolution when called was to offer an "email within three hours".) The Wings Out address that is shown online doesn't actually exist as an independent address. Wings Out also does not post a phone number for the local store. I figured out the location and the tie into Dave & Buster's when I got back home after my first failed search. Looking carefully at the map of the local mall, and not finding any such a suite number, I guessed at the overlap. I called the Dave & Buster's in Thousand Oaks in the Janss Mall and their staff both confirmed Wings Out was inside the operation, and was smart enough to kick my call to the general manager. I'll give the front line Dave and Buster staff credit for problem-solving. Meanwhile, their general manager, Nick Wilson, deserves some real credit for solving the problem. He offered to have the missing part of the order remade on the spot, ready to go in 15 minutes. I walked in the front door as Nick was walking up the main aisle with the to-go order in his hand . He had doubled the missing Wings Out order at no charge. We had time for a little chat about how well his crew and Nick himself resolved the problem, and I thanked him for his effort. Angry Chikz in Thousand Oaks is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a fiery and flavorful Nashville hot chicken experience. We tried the #2 combo with tenders, the #4 combo with sliders and fries, and the angry mac. Everything was absolutely delicious! The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and juicy, tender meat. The medium heat level was perfect with a gradual build that lingered just long enough to leave you wanting more. The sliders were excellent, with soft buns and a generous amount of chicken. They're as large as a chicken sandwich, so if you're not big eaters, one order could feed two; just get an extra side. We used to love Angry Chix. When they first opened, we were there all the time -- brought our friends, raved about the food, and supported them from the start. But over the last several visits (4 or 5 times now), the service has completely dropped off, and it's always the same issue. We order the same bowl every time and always request no sauce. Without fail, the order comes out wrong -- doesn't matter if we order in person, online, or for pickup. Even when we call ahead and confirm with someone directly (like we did this last time), we were promised no sauce. And yet, our order showed up drowned in extra sauce. It's frustrating because I don't have the time to drive back and get it remade or chase down a refund every time this happens -- so I'm just out the money and the meal. Until they get their ordering process and customer service figured out, we won't be back. It's really disappointing to see a place we used to love fall this far off. read more

**One Star** I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this establishment. The way they treat people, especially Black customers, is simply unacceptable. I witnessed clear racial injustice during my visit, where Black patrons were treated with noticeable disrespect compared to others. In addition to the poor treatment, the quality and quantity of the food were shockingly bad. The portions were meager, and the food itself lacked flavor and freshness. For the price they charge, you'd expect much better. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're looking for fair and respectful treatment. It's unfortunate that in this day and age, such blatant disregard for customers still exists. read more

I think this place was going for the feel of the Ventura location, which is also smaller than Camarillo, but Ventura feels just right, and its outdoor seating is inviting. It doesn't help that I came here from the 23 rather than from the 101, so I don't know how this location fits into the flow of what I understand of life and business and shopping and dining in Thousand Oaks. It was definitely busy when I came, and despite my not liking this particular location, I'm glad the business is doing well. I didn't enjoy my potato tacos as much as I did last time. There was too much special sauce, and it was more watery than I remember. Also, the "combo" is a Mexican-restaurant combo, not a fast-food-place combo, so it includes rice and beans but not a drink. Chalk it up to 2026 or whatever, but this place feels very overpriced now. The people working here were kind and efficient. In general, I think this local chain is very well managed, because all the employees I've ever dealt with at all three locations on maybe a half-dozen total visits have been stellar. They keep the inside very clean, including the bathrooms, which are spotless. When I was leaving, I wanted to fill my water bottle with ice, but I didn't want them to think I was stealing soda, so I asked the woman who had taken my order whether that was all right.
