I have been awaiting this hot chicken restaurant's opening for many months now. Tried it the other day. It was busy because it had just opened up, but service time seemed proportional to the amount of being being served. The place isn't cramped and has a nice casual atmosphere. The workers were nice and willing to help. I bought the combo with two sliders, one hot and one extra hot, and fries and then I also split an Angry mac. The sliders and fries were good, solid, though nothing extraordinary from other hot chicken places. One slider had an oddly shaped tender, long and thin, which made it a bit hard to eat as a sandwich. I'll say that neither of my sandwiches were hot, which is surprising considering I ordered hot and extra-hot and was warned by the workers about their ingredients. Maybe I was accidentally given a medium or something or maybe I need to try the hottest version. Either way the flavors were good. Fries weren't my personal preference for hot chicken, but were crispy and and seasoned. Mac and cheese tasted very good. Will be back again read more

But, the only problem was when I ordered 2 plates one I asked for no sauce I don't like any sauce at all and it was hot level , the second one I asked for no heat but sauce was okay for my daughter. When we started eating I noticed mine tasted funny and was not spicy my daughter on the other hand (3 years old ) was eating the plate labeled country and crying her food was hot so plates got missed labeled. I ordered the slider and tender combo. I really wanted to like the hot chicken here. They don't include sauce even though there is the option to put extra sauce online. The chicken itself is dry, the fries were decent but again needed sauce. I was not able to eat the tender by itself. You're better off going to hot mother clucker. read more

I have generally been disappointed in most of the Nashville Hot Chicken places, and I didn't expect much different from here. Thankfully this place is not like the others. Starting with the chicken. It is so moist and flavorful, and the seasoning they use to spice it up is also spot on. I will admit that I cannot tolerate the heat of the double hot, so I stick with the medium, as I can enjoy both the chicken and the seasoning. Their fries are also good. The Mac and cheese is kind of plain, as is the cole slaw, But again it's all about the chicken, and the genuinely pleasant staff. It's affordable as well. read more

We love a good chicken sandwich, and you will definitely get that here. The chicken sandwich was for sure really good, but I do have to warn you. My husband who likes spicy ordered the hot and it was almost to much for him. I ordered medium and it was pretty spicy. After we ate my husband asked about the sauces and found out the hot has ghost pepper in it, the next one up has Carolina reapper chili in it. So be careful when you order. Also don't be fooled by the fact that the #1 combo says two sliders and fries, the sliders are bigger then you might think. I ordered the #3 which is one slider and one tender and fries....it came out to somewhere around $32 with only one drink. My husband and I each really could only eat one slider (they aren't small) and half our fries. So in reality we could have shared the #1 and both been full. We left with 1/2 the food in a Togo bag, and we aren't what you would call light eaters. I kind of have to believe that's why we were practically the only ones there at 12:30 in the afternoon, it's just to much food for one person to pop in and grab a sandwich. They really should put a one slider and fry on the menu. We will definitely go back and we will split the # 1 combo and order medium heat. And the place is very clean. Great food, not cheap and they now charge you for extra sauce. The sauce is what makes it good. Disappointing.

I'll go ahead and give a 5 star for my experience. I went to the grand opening TWICE in one day! A friend wanted to try it after work, so I brought them with me after I raved about my first time trying it. Tim was my server both times. He was very kind. Service was as quick as possible for having that many orders! I didn't wait more than 10 mins for the food. The restaurant itself I think could use more seating, there is a lot of open area to take advantage of. I ordered an Angry Mac bowl. It was medium spice. The flavor was great, and the special sauce is like Cane's sauce without pepper. For my second round, I got 2 tenders, hot. The difference in heat between medium and hot is a big jump! Medium to me had no spice, while hot was what I was expecting! The heat hits you after you finish taking a bite and swallowing it. It's a gradual raise in temp. I wish "medium" was just a little spicier. The prices are around the same for any other chicken spot. It's not cheap, but that's what is being charged now. The food both times was good. Fries are seasoned, Mac and cheese and tenders were as expected. I will say the 2nd round I asked the food for here, and they bagged it to-go. It looked like they were doing that to every order regardless. You do have to put your own utensils, honey and sauce in the bag (and napkins). So, be mindful this is not a place that automatically gives those to you. You don't have yo go far to grab them though, as they're right at the same counter you pick your food up at. Hard to miss it. I am a Nashville chicken connoisseur as well. Gordo's Hot Chicken is still king, Main chick is second, and I believe Angry Chickz to be 3rd. Overall, this is close enough to fix a "Nashville hot chicken" craving. Give it a shot! read more

The food here is so good I find myself craving it! The service is always friendly, but sometimes can be a bit slow. I don't necessarily think this is a problem because I know the food is hot and fresh each time. It's a small space but there's a decent amount of seating. Yes another hot chicken joint! The flavor of the chicken is decently flavored but there have been a small amount of times where the chicken in my bowls have been a little dry but that's me being very picky as the food still hits the spot. My go to is the tenders and fries combo with some honey on the side. The medium spice is a pleasant heat and the fries have a nice crisp with a soft texture inside. The bowls are decent if you like something saucy that can be eaten all in one with a fork. I'm not a big fan of the Hangry box which is chicken, mac, slaw over a bed of rice. The combination is very strange and in my opinion doesn't mesh well. The fountain drinks have pebble ice and Mr. Pibb so that's just adding points to an already good meal. The service is always polite, the interior is spacious, and the parking is okay being a shared plaza. Overall I'd recommend trying it as I think it contends with the other hot chicken joints within 15 miles. Just don't go to the Van Nuys location... it's trash. read more

It's nice to see a lot of staff at a restaurant when you walk in, but then you realize they are not there to take your order or wipe the tables or help in the kitchen. The 3 stars is mostly due to the service. Went in when it didn't appear to be busy at all and I asked if they could assemble the angry mac bowl with mac first, then fries and then tenders so that I wouldn't have soggy fries and tenders because I was taking it to go and had a little bit of a drive to my location but they said they could not do that which obviously they could but just didn't want to be bothered to do so. Other than that, the food was great. Mac was great, tenders great, fries great. I ended up eating in my car so that it would still be crispy when I ate it. I got hot which was too hot for me that I could barely really enjoy it in full next. I am pretty good with spice but this was too much for me. Next time I will get the medium. Also, I asked for a side of their special sauce and they gave me 2 at no additional charge. I also asked for a side of pickles which they also did not charge for and they gave a good amount of them as well as you can see in the pic. read more

Decent food and the portions are big. It's also reasonably priced, but it is NOT Nashville Hot Chicken which is a disappointment. Authentic Nashville hot chicken is seasoned with cayenne pepper and dipped in spicy lard or oil. It is not made hot by using ghost pepper or Carolina reaper. The bread underneath the chicken is supposed to sop up the oil but Angry Chikz chicken is dry so there is no point for the bread. I wish they would stop marketing themselves as Nashville hot chicken and just call it what it is, Spicy chicken. If you want real Nashville hot chicken, go elsewhere. read more

This is my daughters favorite place to go, she said it's better than Dave's Hot Chicken. We usually go on the weekends cashier is really nice and always gets our order right. The fries have a great seasoning on it and the sauce is great. Our food was done fast and you get a lot for what you pay for. My only complaint is that bought a drink and I only drink iced tea but when I walked to fill my cup the iced tea machine was broken and I don't drink sodas or sugary drinks, I've been here multiple times and never had an issue with the drinks so it was probably just this one time, hopefully they fix it soon. I came to this location this past Saturday night. It was around 15 minutes before closing, so I can maybe understand the frustrations of the workers. I am a manager of a retail store, so I get it. It is frustrating. However, the way my friend and I were treated was unacceptable. As soon as we walk in, I hear the moans and groans of the employees. "We close in 10 f****** minutes, are you kidding? We close in 10 f****** minutes!" Was yelled loud enough for us to hear. Clearly, they were wanting us to hear. The little window to the kitchen is where we saw them glaring at us in a very hateful manner. At this point, we then ask the cashier for fries. Someone in the back yells "we don't have that!" I said "okay then, can I get a side of mac n cheese?" Again, they yell "we don't have that!!" I would assume if the establishment is still open, they have to serve customers. The cashier however was really nice, and said "you know what, we have that. Let me put the order in for you." I was livid. The next morning, I called this location to speak to the manager. He said his name was Victor. I explained the situation, stating I was a manager myself, and I would be appalled if any one of my associates acted in that manner. He couldn't care less, and had no interest in making the situation right. In my honest opinion, he did not sound like he should have the title of a manager. I told him I will not be dining here anymore, and all he said was "that's too bad, I hope things change." He had the same energy as the workers that made us feel like a burden and unwelcome. I am surprised that he is working there as a "manager". Bottom line, this location has never given me any issues, and in fact, are always so nice.
