We came here for dinner the night of my birthday not necessarily for a birthday celebration but just happen to wanna go out get something to eat and for myself, I wanted a nice cocktail. That's one thing I I look forward to my birthday. However, when we came in, we were surprised to find that it wasn't very busy, and I honestly expected to hit hardly their service knowing that they weren't gonna be making a ton of money that it was absolutely the opposite. Upon entering, we were greeted with faces and engaging staff. We had never been here before, but had wanted to come here for several years since before we got to adopt our child and I finally had a place where we thought yeah, let's try it out. Couldn't have gone better. The man who sat us gave us an amazing and how thought out introduction to the menu and how the restaurant worked. The woman high believers man was incredibly well with us and you all happen to share birthdays right around the same time. This only came up because he was talking about our daughter's birthday, who was coming up in a couple days. Through that conversation, the topic of both my birthday tonight and my husband's birthday in three nights was also mentioned. We went onto the graded by a waiter. That was absolutely incredible compassionate, warm and personable. Let us know that they want to recognize my birthday and was very sweet and offering some options for dessert. Upon speaking with his coworkers later, he came back and offered us all to enjoy our birthday. My husband tried to cocktail that even Mike and they were very quick to replace it with one that he unfortunately also didn't like they were very quick to make everything right and give us the experience that we didn't even come hunting for this is one of the best birthdays for me and years because we don't do anything out of the ordinary for my birthdays. This whole experience has been incredibly heartwarming and overall appreciate all of the effort staff went to just to give us a nice dinner! The food was also really incredible. We got the antipasto board which was amazing. You got the Caesar salad for two we split the lasagna. It was massive and absolutely enough for two people and then our daughter got the chicken Alfredo kid meal. For cocktails we tried the passionfruit Garibaldi, which was amazing. The best one. We also tried the Margo Maloney, which was really really good. I liked that, my husband didn't. but just because he's not a drinker anyways not because it's a bad drink. And finally, the Lemon Tartini was absolutely the best way to end the meal!

This is one of the best or the best Mexican seafood meals I have ever had. As a spicy lover I was over the moon with the ceviche, torre, and tacos durados. Can't wait to come back soon with friends because of the fun atmosphere and inventive salsas. A mariachi band might even make the rounds so bring your appetite, dancing shoes and a little cash.

Both pizzas were interesting. The Lichfield Park pizza has pesto sauce and corn on it, as well as cheese, so you might get a slice of that after your "guests" scarf their first helping. You better grab a slice of the Brooklyn pizza right away, though, because it's a traditional-looking pizza with pepperoni and sausage. You won't get a second shot at a slice. You'll get to finish the rest of the "adult" strawberry & bacon salad, though, with spinach instead of lettuce, walnuts, strawberries, and bacon bits. It doesn't come with ranch or even ranch-colored dressing, so they might not risk trying a pinkish salad dressing as a dip for their pizza crust. It's a very good salad and helped my vacation digestion, since I'm not used to the 110° August heat. Papa Paul's Pizza is less than a mile away from my room at the Wigwam. Going there would even be walkable in the summer heat if the fences around the Wigwam had pedestrian gates. As it is, both driveway gates on that corner of the Wigwam are slotted through the perimeter fence far from the place where Papa Pauls and the resort are just across the street from each other. I'm too delicate for a 0.9-mile walk in that much sun. I enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar to rehydrate, though, while I waited for the pizzas to come out of the oven.

We also ordered the mango and classic cannolis, and these stole the show. Flaky to perfection! If we come back, we might try the pizzas to see how it compares to the pasta.

My husband and I had been once before for our anniversary and the food was incredible. Tonight really showed how much heart and love goes into this restaurant when a little boy peaked out from behind the wall & asked if my kids wanted to play with him as we waited to be seated. After making sure it was okay with who I'm assuming is the owner & family of the little boy, my kids went to the table he was at to color and play with him. Everyone was so kind and gracious with my kids, and the little boy Sebastian was the highlight of our night. He was such a sweet kid & the best little host. My kids had a great time with him as we waited for our food. I got the carbonara, my dad got the chicken pesto & my husband got a 3 meat penne. The kids got chicken tender and fries. Each dish was delicious and tasted authentic. The bruschetta dip was amazing. My husband doesn't normally like bruschetta, but how the flavors were balanced had him eating most of it. The bread was perfect, crisp outside with a softer inside. My carbonara was creamy and flavorful. Most carbonara upsets my stomach because of dairy (but I still order it anyway because it's my favorite), but how they made it here left me feeling satisfied without an upset stomach which is a huge win in my book! It warmed my heart to feel like my kids were welcomed in a restaurant with open arms when many restaurants view kids in general as a burden. We will definitely be back! Personally, we've never been to a restaurant that provided this quality of service and hospitality in addition to the best Italian food we've had at a more than reasonable cost! 10/10 recommend this to anyone!

They compliment the culture extremely well, and help set the atmosphere. When we went for lunch on a Sunday, it was pretty empty (only 1 other table). I would recommend not worrying about the low attendance. I think this has to do more with the fact that Downtown Avondale tends to be pretty empty. I think that they would do really well and be a lot busier if they were in a different location. The service was amazing, our server was attentive and gave out really good recommendations. While all the food was delicious...the free bread was my favorite. It was perfectly toasted and seasoned and included a brushetta topping on the side. I could have just ate that and would have been extremely happy. We ordered an appetizer of Calamari, it was a good portion size for the cost. The Calamari was well seasoned and crispy. I ordered the Portobello Mushroom Ravioli. It was flavorful with large pieces of mushroom mixed with the sauce. Even though it was a white cream sauce, the dish was suprisingly light, I would recommend trying it. The other two people I was with both ordered the Frutti de Mare. There was a good mixe and amount of seafood in the dish and the pasta was cooked perfectly. While the marinara sauce was good, I don't think it was something that was out of this world. I just think it needed a little more seasoning or some kind of kick to round it out. Overall, great restaurant and would recommend.
