Kate Spade is one of my favorites and I like how they have the outlet from all of the seasons purses and accessories. I was looking for a specific color purse (grey) and came up on a small shoulder bag. It was outlet priced at $79 for a designer bag, yes please! I actually got it for a wedding coming up and needed it to match my shoes. I also like how it's perfect to dress up or down. They have so many different styles to chose from, minis to large bags. Metallica, colorful and prints as well as Disney collabs. The last one they had in store was Minnie and they still had some of her in stock too. Love the purse I purchased here during the 4th of July holiday weekend. It was 75% + additional 20% off, so my purchase was less than $100. The day I shopped, it wasn't too busy inside. There were sales staff standing throughout the store. All friendly and helpful. This store sells purses, wallets, and clothes. Very bright. Amazing customer service and I am such a sucker for Kate Spade when it comes to outlet shopping! I was looking for the perfect backpack to use when traveling and I was so glad to have stopped by because they had such a wide selection to choose from! If I could have walked out with more goodies, I certainly would have. But surprisingly I kept my self control at bay and bought "the essentials" and still managed to keep my bank account happy and my boyfriend relatively happy as well (thanks for not complaining while I browsed for the longest time ever!) I haven't been here in such a long time, about 7 years, that I forgot how small it is. Waited in line for 20-25 minutes, worth it because selection of cute handbags is good. Big sale right now, 70% off, some stuff in the back are an extra 20%! The jewelry section was looking sparse though I still found enough to debate over. Lol KS designs simple but eye-catching pieces. Not many wallets, accessories or clothing either. Clean organized store. My main criticism is pandemic related. This a popular store so they need to mark more social distances in the waiting line, not just a few. When I left there were 20-25 parties in line. Only 12 customers are allowed in at a time. Ok, but have a proactive employee at the entrance monitoring traffic to prevent a guessing game of can I go in now? read more

I shop in this particular store multiple times throughout the year and spend thousands of dollars. I've never encountered a rude employee, everyone has always been very nice until my visit yesterday. A young lady was very sweet and assisting me with my purchase and a few items were not matching up price wise according to their promotions listed, so I was asking her about it. A very rude male injected himself into my conversation and said no this is the price. I walked away with the sweet young lady towards the cash register only to have the guy blurt out, " do u want it or not"?. I turned around and asked him, excuse me what did u just say? He repeated himself with a bigger attitude this time. I said, you can't speak to me this way. I'm not even speaking to you. I'm being handled by this nice sales lady. He responded back that he can speak to me how he likes and how I needed to calm down and I should leave the store if I don't like it. I was shocked by the conversation he was having with me. I asked what his name was and he refused to give it to me and said that he has a right not to give me his name. I asked the young lady what his name was and of course she was afraid since he was standing next to her and stayed quiet. I figured quickly that he must be her superior. I called the customer care line immediately while I was at the store and entered a formal complaint about him. I was then notified that his name is George and he is in fact the supervisor of the store. I cannot comprehend in these hard times how people like him have these titles and so many are suffering to find jobs. Furthermore, I get a call from the store manager the next day named Rhonnna and quickly realize how this was possible because she too came to his defense quickly and was hardly apologetic for the situation. It all made sense and I just felt sorry for the other employees who were so nervous as to what was happening to me and they couldn't even speak. So shameful of Kate Spade brand to honor these two individuals into management with such bad behavior. The pricing of this store is way off and they are tricking you with signage that is not clear for their items and u less you are double checking everything at the register you will be scammed into the pricing. I had to tell the sales rep multiple times to change the price based on the sign where the item was found. I will be contacting BBB and the consumer affairs. I just don't feel right about these two individuals into management with this store. Omg! Soooo many errors! Mischarged twice! The purse I bought was marked $229.99 with 70% off. The purse rang up as $239.99. I went back to let the cashier know and so she made a price adjustment and forgot to include my military discount from the initial transaction. Well, I was looking at the receipt now that I'm home and the bank confirmed she charged me the amount instead of crediting! Ugh!!! So now I have to call tomorrow and deal with knuckle heads to try to get this fixed! Look at your receipt before you leave the store! In an era that there is shortage of ppl who want to work, and the ppl who do work aren't the greatest at customer service I had the most outstanding experience at this beautiful store! Alex blew my mind! I was in the store a few weeks ago and asked an associate if they had a specific necklace that matched a set of earrings I had gotten there 6mo ago. I knew it was slim to no chance but she mentioned they get one every once in a while. She asked me to leave my number and if she happen to come across it she would contact me. I definitely didn't think she would remember and doubted they'd get one. 2 weeks later, my phone rings and it's Margret another wonderful sales associate who mentions that they received the necklace and Alex had remembered me. I was floored. With the help of Margaret I was able to purchase it online and even got it shipped to my home for free! This is by far the most amazing experience I have ever had at a retail store. I absolutely love my necklace and the set is so gorgeous. I've gotten compliments on it already. Kate spade misrepresentation/ false advertisement. Read the receipt carefully before you leave 1. My mom picked up a bag from a section with sign saying "70% plus 25% off" 2. After waiting 25 min to check out, she saw the receipt did not apply the 25% off after the 70% off 3. Being frustrated, my mom wanted to return the bag. The store clerk, Kayla, mentioned couple of points to mom 1. Mom would have to get back in line for return (another 25 min) 2. The price would still be the same after the 70+25%. It wasn't, and I showed the math about how far off she was. Get back in line to return. 3. Clerk apologized and said bag was actually $119 with a particular tag (which wasn't on the bag), and it was supposed to be "select styles only." Get back in line for return 4. My dad charged back into the store and demanded a return. Still was asked to go back in line for another 25 min. He claimed misrepresentation with the improper signage. The manager would not speak that this was misrepresented, but proceeded with the refund without having to go back in line. 5. The clerk took down that sign from the area where my mom found the bag (shows their misrepresentation was real) 6. The guard told us to "get the f out of the store" after the return. We happily did. This goes down to some ethical points. Kate spade misrepresented the sale of the item under the clearly marked sign. It did not say "select styles only" or have specific tags, contrary to the clerk's words. How many people left the store without knowing they overpaid because they pulled a bag from the same section? Kate spade will not accommodate you unless you are forceful. Why was the staff unaccommodating to my soft spoken mom? Why was the security guard rude? As regular shoppers of kate spade, we will be coach people exclusively now. Thank you for making us realize this. read more

Outlets will be the death of me. Why? Because I LOVE SALES. Since practically EVERYthing is on sale, I just about want to buy the whole gosh dang store. Anywho, my first experience at a Kate Spade store was at the Camarillo Outlets. Since they were closing down for remodeling, they were giving out extra discounts on a bunch of the items--that had trouble written all over it. Of course I perused every bag carefully, inspecting the leather and materials used to make it. Then I noticed this beautiful black bag on the display, it was just so perfect. I started comparing all the black bags to see which one had the least amount of nicks and scratches on it. The service reps were super helpful, and was giving us their advice on every bag that we were looking at. I am now a happy owner of a Kate Spade bag, and a make-up bag. Luckily, my bank account was not overdrawn as a result of my visit. Phew, definitely had to exercise restraint there. Not sure if I will be as successful in my next visit... read more

Customers beware. This store has deceptive sales tactic. If you are buying a bag with a sign that has 70% plus additional 25%, you need to calculate the price and know what you're being charged. On black friday, my wife bought a bag that was priced at $399 which should have a final price of $89.77 plus tax. When the cashier, rang her up, she was charged $119.00 plus tax. My wife told the cashier that the bag was in a shelf with the sale price. The cashier told her that it applies only to certain styles, which was not indicated on the sign. When she asked to cancel the transaction, she was told that she will need to go back to the end of the line where she stood for more than 30 minutes. I went in to the store and was met by this rude sales clerk who rang up my wife and told me we need to go to the end of the line at which I responded BS. I spoke to the manager about the price and she showed me a tag of $119.00 which was not in the bag when we where inspecting it. I brought the 70% plus 25% that was on top of the shelf where we got the bag from. The manager then said that the price does not apply to the 119.00 that my wife was charged and showed that it will be based on $399.00 which my wife originally claimed. She offered to refund the difference and that rude sales clerk again said that we should go to the end of the line. I told the manager to refund me the price to avoid further aggravation on everyone's part. I asked for the corporate number and the sales clerk's name where she responded that employee names are confidential. She gave here name as Alana, and that rude employee's name, we found out in the sales receipt is Kayla. I told the manager that what they're doing was false advertisement and she wasn't responding. They took the 70/25 sign and did not put it back on the shelf. On the way out, a security guard told me to "get the fuck out" to which I responded and called him out. Avoid this store with unfair practice or beware and make sure you know how much you should be paying for a bag and check your receipt. read more

I usually love shopping here. They always have great deals. However, I experienced TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from SHADA on my last trip. The attitude and the rolling of the eyes are just not acceptable customer service anywhere, and especially not at a designer brand. As she was helping me, a previous customer came up to exchange a handbag for the exact item because his daughter saw a scratch on the item. She let him exchange it but she felt she had the privilege to tell him they couldn't keep doing that and then she rolled her eyes after he walked away. I should have known I was going to get the same attitude with my exchange. She spoke to me in a VERY abrupt and unfriendly manner during my transaction. SHADA needs more training with customer service, the return / exchange policy and how to respect customers. read more

2/6/14- I always come in here for great deals around christmas time. This time I came in looking for a new bag and maybe some cute jewelry. No one greeted me upon arrival into the store nor acknowledged me once. At the time there were about 8 customers in the store. The two employees (ladies in their 50s) carried on their personal conversation as I strolled through for about 10 minutes not ever saying a word to me or my friend. I actually heard of the current promotions when they told some other customers two rooms away. I was immediately turned off and decided I would take my business elsewhere. These stores work off of commission. I work in retail and yes some customers hate when you bombard them, but it is your JOB to greet the customers and let them know of the promotions going on. I had first asked the manager if it would be ok to take pictures of the products so I can send them to friends and family overseas. That way they can confirm whether or not they like it. I came in yesterday and the male sales representative confronted me with some serious attitude. I had explained that I had asked the manager prior and he said that as long as I was taking pictures of the inside of the products it would be fine. The sales rep would have none of it and said I needed to leave the store. I get it. I am Chinese so therefore I am trying to copy your products? Get out of here. If people want to copy your products, they'll buy it. They'll target new items (not old outlet ones), and they'll go after bigger fish like LV, Gucci, and Prada. If I were basing this review off product alone, it would get 5 stars. The service really falls short though. Service should be one of the main distinguishing factors among luxury brands vs everyday brands. I used to really like this store but now I'm afraid to go back, for I may have another bad experience. I was greeted by a girl guarding the door and refusing to let me in with my Starbucks. I asked her if I could leave it behind the counter, which seems totally reasonable to me. I was met with some eye rolling proceeded by her asking her boss permission over a headset. The boss did not respond. When she finally did, I was let inside. Once inside, I proceeded to put my Starbucks behind the counter but to my dismay saw several other people walking around the store with Starbucks in hand. I couldn't help but feel somewhat annoyed. All the other employees seemed frazzled, overstaffed, too many of them, yet they all looked stressed. It didn't quite make any sense at at all but i sure as hell didn't like it. There was so much commotion coming from the sales staff that I wondered why. The sales people also size you up, which is not only rude but a novice move for a salesperson. Always assume the sale, no matter what someone looks like. Guess what? I love to go shopping in sweats by myself and that's prob when i spend the most money. One sales person did ask if i needed help but she was of no help. She hadn't even seen the new Kate Spade Home ads in the magazines. If you work at the store, I kind of expect you to know their product line better than me. It turned out to be a good thing because I didn't spend any money there! Poor leadership and training is likely the reason for the bad service here and if they can change that around they would really have something special. read more

I didn't expect to be making a purchase- let alone a big one- coming in here. Since it was a BUSY sunday, there were lot's of staff members helping everyone. They were handing out door coupons for 25% off when everything in the store was already 40% off. YAY! The selection was HUGE. So many bags, wallets, pieces of costume jewelry and some clothes. Not many shoes but no biggie. I loved that the staff had calculators to help everyone figure out the cost of their potential purchases. I thought that this was kind and went above and beyond. Multiple people helped us while we shopped, diligently answering lots of questions and convincing me to buy a bag. (like that was so difficult...). I think that Kate Spade is one of the brands that makes specific items for their outlet v. regular shops but frankly it makes no difference. The quality is the same and the prices are awesome. I go to the outlets way too often, and every time I end up at Kate Spade. I've gotten quite a few things on super sale (a regular-sized backpack for $30!!!) so I always come to check out their deals. I've always had a great experience in regards to customer service and I have never been told anything about taking pictures of the products. In fact, the employees have been really helpful and have answered all of my questions! Yes, it sucks that there's a line to get in, but if the store is too small to have so many people in there at once. TIP: Come on a weekday, if possible. They have more stuff in stock. read more

I love Kate Spade... okay, maybe not as much as Marc Jacobs but I love her stuff as well. My favorite find here: An Owl bag. This purse is gorgeous. It has suede flaps for the feathers complete with gold grommets... and leather detailed eyes... and patent leather body. It just really is a very gorgeous purse. Also, I bought this adorable clutch (which I never use- maybe if I go out? It's too small for everyday use) that looks like a postal letter. It's in the shape of a letter, with you know, the classic white with blue and red...complete with stamps and a snap to close. It's so adorable! :) And supposedly rare?! Anyway, they just remodeled the interior of this store...at first I thought they made it smaller... but they just changed the layout a bit to accommodate some clothes and shoes. Love her whimsical style and you can find some great deals on items if you look and are there at the right time. read more

Absolutely appalled by the customer service given to me today. I understand we are in a pandemic, but there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to be rude and dismissive. I was walking Into the store as two ladies were walking out and the employee who was apparently the only one working by herself (which makes no sense as a business aspect, because then how is this location keeping up with cleaning and disinfecting or limiting the amount of traffic in the store)? Anyways, she rudely told me that I had to wait, and stay outside, I kindly let her know that two people had walked out and that it was my mistake for walking in. She again, spit out nothing but sass and rudeness explain, "yeah well people walk in here all the time, I'm the only person working". Right then and there I was turned off from buying. My wife and sister were planning on buying merchandise until they heard the sass that I was given. Well guess what, my wife is a huge Kate spade fan, spends hundreds of dollars at a time. No money for you! I will be taking my money elsewhere. People please keep in mind, there's a Tory Burch, Michael Kors and other handbag locations. I was so upset when my bag broke while I was traveling because it was only 2 months old and my prior Kate Spades are still trucking along after several years. This had me wondering if brand quality was going downhill but am more comfortable now knowing that Kate Spade stands behind their product. I went into the store with my broken bag and the store was so helpful in a hassle free exchange of my bag even though I had only asked for it to be repaired. Was there yesterday and felt so profiled by the greeter at the front of the store. Upon walking in to the store with my husband, she did not bother saying "hi welcome" or even give us one of the coupons she had in her hand. Just behind us were another two ladies and she definitely was quick to greet them. I asked my husband if that just happened? I said it loud enough for one of the cashiers to hear. In retrospect, I should have told the greeter something. It's a shame that at this day and age we still have people profiling others, such a shame and misrepresentation of a store such as Kate spade.
