We ordered the club sandwich for $13.99 and I like how you could pick what kind of sandwich you want for your triple decker. When we got our food, it tasted as though the sandwich had been sitting there since the toast was a little stale. Fries and Mac salad were okay. Nothing special. Our waitress on the other hand was a bit slow and out of it. It took her awhile to come and take our order. We ordered the chocolate Haupia pie and she brought a chocolate pie. She left it with us when we corrected her mistake and then brought us the chocolate haupia. It's surprisingly not as sweet as the chocolate one and it tasted a lot better with little coconut shavings on top. Definitely get the pie if you're here! read more

A well loved shop that has went through a lot the past few years. I miss that it's no longer open 24 hours but it's ok. The only thing I don't like about Anna Miller's is that they only serve breakfast and lunch right now and currently are not 24 hours. Other than that we had a great experience during our last visit! Originally we were seated at a smaller table but had no problem switching to a bigger one. When I eat out I like variety so I tend to order a lot more but I like it because then that just means left overs for late. Everything was delicious because I know I wouldn't be giving them a 5 star review if it didn't. What do you need to know? The pancakes were light and fluffy, the butter effortlessly slid along the top of the hot pancakes, it didn't take much to cut it up, and when I applied that sweet syrup the whole plate looked like a cloud of fluffy deliciousness. Oh and the eggs were nice and fluffy and delicious. Yeah I know, let down in describing the eggs after the part about the pancakes, that just means you are going to have to go there and try it yourself. read more

The mash potatoes on the plate he ordered were so good! I could honestly eat that for dinner with butter and chives Service can be a hit or miss here, I usually steer away from coming here if I really don't want to but since this last visit it was pretty decent service. I can never finish a plate since most plates come with soup or salad, hot roll or corn bread. If you choose soup, I'd recommend their corn chowder it's a must. If your ever looking for a late night bite without going to a fast food drive thru or another Zippys, you should really consider this place! It's open 24/7 and has some of the best pies. Honestly I'm a frequent customer here I come at least 2-4 times a month and I've never had a bad experience. The servers here are always so sweet and we're served almost immediately every single time. Tonight was no different, my husband and I came around 10 PM for some late night dinner. We sat immediately and was given our drinks and menus, the lady who helped us was very nice and even suggested new items for us to try since we always get the same thing. I really have to recommend the Meat Loaf or even their Chicken Pot Pie, it's really delicious. And for dessert you have to try their pecan pie or if in season their sweet potato pie, of course with a scoop of ice cream. This place isn't the fanciest or nicest, it kind of has a old feel to it and honestly hasn't changed much over the years but always feels comfortable, like a place you could just sit at for hours eating and talking with friends or family. Never did have a bad experience for the 12 years we've came here. The food is always good. The favorite is the chicken pot pie served with salad or soup with warm or grilled corn bread. I have eaten at Anna Miller's a number of times and I must say have never had a bad experience. Sometimes the wait is long but that means the food must be good. The service is always outstanding. The ladies are always so sweet and kind. You can feel that they feel bad about the customers having to wait and they are always apologizing like its there fault and we know it's just part of eating at Anna Millers at a bad time. I am always happy with the food. I love the local Loco Moco, the gravy is tasty and the beef patty is always perfect. I like the fried rice breakfast as well with two eggs on top, so good but I cant eat it all. The Waffles and fried chicken is also amazing. Again, the service is truly outstanding. From the greaters to the servers to the cashier to the folks that recommend what amazing pie it good to buy, everyone is so professional and helpful and that why I keep coming back. Sometimes I have to wait 45 minutes but to me this good food and superb service is worth it. Five stars...keep up the great service. read more

PIES! Pies pies pies pies pies! There are times I crave pie, and only Anna Miller's can satisfy them. Would I drive 20 minutes to Aiea to get a pie? Possibly. If I'm absolutely craving it. We got to try a whole bunch of different pies, and I know that my favorite will always be the Fresh Strawberry Pie (did you know it's seasonal and is only around for a few months?!) but I think I found my close second, which is the Macadamia Nut Pie. It's LOADED with mac nuts, and something about the custard that they use is so so amazing. We also tried the Dutch Apple Pie, and I'm one of those oddballs that hates apple pies (I always scrape out the insides and only eat the outside of the McDonalds one), but we got this one warmed up, and it was actually good. I loved the crumble on top, the apples weren't too mushy or crunchy, and the crust was flaky and amazing. On the contrary to that, I usually LOVE pecan pies, but I found that this one was a little too sweet for my liking. It was loaded with pecans (and you can never have too much on a pie!) but the sweetness was overbearing after a few bites. But then again, it might be because I tried four other slices consecutively lol Everything about the pies blows me away each time I get them, and it's become such a staple in our household that driving to Anna Miller's to get a pie has become an event for us. read more

I went to Anna Millers for lunch on Wednesday with a friend. I had not been there in years. I had the most delicious veggie omelet I've had in recent memory. Saturday night around 10pm... not very busy which was cool. Party of 8 and we got a long booth which we could remove the wall that separates the table so we can be one big group together when we eat. Hostess wasn't very welcoming or alert, idk if she was having a bad night but she acted like she didn't wanna deal w/ us. But our WAITRESS was great Aunty was real cool and always checked up on us if we needed anything and if everything was good. Most of us ordered hamburgers and some of us had breakfast/lunch entrees. Due to the COVID-19, Anna Miller's has only been open for pie pickup orders only. They're aren't any regular food pickups, or dine-in as well. I've been ordering a lot of their tasty pies these past few weeks for company parties, and family occasions. They're very accommodating, and has all of the pies that I want to order. Even when I had to do a last minute change to my pie orders a few hours before my pickup time they're able to accommodate me too. They always have my orders ready for pickup on time as well. If you want a good pie for any occasion, this should be your go to place. read more

Came for a nice breakfast/brunch with my fiancé and was really surprised with how quick everything moved even though we had a longer wait time. We were in the Pearl City area in the early morning before a lot of places are open for breakfast and decided on Anna Miller's which is open 24/7. They have a good amount of options that you can order and specials post. I decided to try the Fried Rice Special ($9.99). It came out quickly from the kitchen and looked promising, but to me, it was bland. We also tried the pancakes which was also nothing to Wow about. I think the interior hasn't changed much from the day they opened and felt a little dated. The floor and table not very clean, it made me feel a little uneasy thinking what the kitchen looks like, but I wasn't about to look. Overall I'm sure they have some good dishes and the pies in the glass cases as you enter the restaurant looked great. We also got the breakfast with 2 pancakes (upgraded to banana/mac nuts), Portuguese sausage (good), hash browns (good/crispy), and scrambled eggs (good). Tbh, the pancakes were just okay, surprisingly, with the addition of banana and Mac nuts, butter, and syrup, it barely had any taste! The texture of the pancakes was good. My first time since COVID was December 2023 and now I go often. The restaurant must have gotten a good cleaning because it's not sticky anymore and the restrooms are okay. I've gone often since. Best pies on island. This place is iconic and the last in the world. I didn't realize it's a Japan chain and the last one in Japan closed in 2022. Making Hawaii's location the last in the World. Two words: STRAWBERRY PIE. The strawberry pie is the redemption of this establishment. Nothing else from here stands out for me personally. Now, i am fully aware that this is a popular diner and while they have a vast enough selection of entree options, they are overpriced (in my opinion) for such mediocre flavored dishes. Their omelettes are decent but don't be surprised to see your bill sky rocket (for a diner) if you add anything in them that was not in the description. The cornbread is often really dry but that's not a big deal to me since i like it grilled. The corn chowder is okay. I didn't care for the eggs Benedict as the bearnaise/hollendaise sauce was pretty gross and thick and just SO MUCH... i think their Belgian waffles are pretty good... pancakes are okay. I don't mean to sound harsh but everything is just as expected. Breakfast options I think are better bets here. It's loud and the food is just okay. But the strawberry pie, though... to die for!! Great, we thought, it's been awhile since we've been here for dinner. We sat down and waited awhile for our server to come over. In fact my mom had to call her over and let her know we were ready to order... For me I got an omelette and I opted for cornbread, because who doesn't love a good cornbread!?! A good cornbread would be dense, but moist, and doesn't crumble. I was so looking forward to it and boy was I disappointed! Not only did our food come out at different times, my cornbread was dry and hard, like it was overcooked! I'm feeling sad just thinking about it again. Our server didn't even check on us to see how everything was. When we asked for a refill, she places the cup right at the edge of the table. Like heller!?! We had to ask for our check and waited awhile for it. Food was subpar and so was our service. The best part of this restaurant is that they have a bakery although we didn't try anything from there. I tried a bite of the banana macadamia pancakes and to me they didn't have much flavor. My actual order was the patty melt. It was the most under flavored patty melt I've ever had. The bread was good. The meat was very under season and didn't taste like it had been grilled. Almost microwaved in texture. The onions were cooked but definitely didn't have the texture or taste of grilled onions. The worst part of this restaurant was the restroom. Very dirty. The floors in particular looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. There is one spot in particular in a stall that looked like remnants of blood or some other dark colored liquid.
