The food is excellent, but why do they play such horrible back ground music? I hate so-called classic rock! They play it at ear-splitting levels! Have been to Anna Thai three times. Love the atmosphere, service, and food. Each time I have tried a different item on the menu. Out of the three times each meal was delicious . They have a Chinese Beer that I like called Lucky Buddha. The server is always open to recommend items, which I like that they do that. Had the coconut ice cream to end the meal and it was lovely. This restaurant exceeded my expectations. The decor is beautiful. The waterfall is amazing. Very clean and tidy. Food came out in an appropriate amount of time. Very accommodating for substitutions for everyone at the table. Rainbow roll was amazing. Gorgeous to look at and delicious. The fish was super fresh and the rice was perfect. Also had the orange tofu. This is the only part I was slightly disappointed with. I expected it to be spicy and it was not but I added a bit of chili paste and perfect! Service was excellent. Been to this place a couple of times. The restaurant setting is nice and clean. The service is very friendly as well. They are always very inviting. However, their food is ok, as their meals can be a bit bland for a Thai dinner. But then again, I tend to like my foods really spicy. This is NOT a sushi restaurant. They discontinued sushi a year ago but chose to keep their internet posting up to falsely bring people in to the restaurant. People, there is NO SUCH THING as a spring/summer roll with NO protein!!! Lettuce in a rice wrapper is NOT a "summer roll" and all gyoza/potstickers offer a protein selection. And, the green curry - I dont know what kind of pale meat that was but it didn't look or taste like beef. I have eaten in literally several hundred Thai restaurants in big cities and this place is a fraud - apparently assuming Decaturites are inexperienced rubes from the country - and wanting to save money by eliminating the protein which is tyoically in a dish. The food was decent, but the service was horrible. They weren't even busy (after the first 10 minutes we were there, we were the only ones there...). The waitress was up in the front of the restaurant, laughing loudly, while we waited approximately 10 minutes before I could ask for the check. Wife and I were very impressed with our dine in experience at Anna Thai. I ordered the Red Curry Chicken spicy level 2. Wife had Pad Tai with chicken spicy level 3. Both were hot, fresh and had outstanding flavor. Spicy level was right on point. Also highly recommend the Crab Rangoon and Egg Rolls as an appetizer. Service was prompt and friendly. I'm hoping Anna Thai is a place that sticks around because it is definitely on its way to becoming a Decatur staple. I always hope I can stop in when I'm craving their food as their restaurant is one of the best in terms of ambiance in town. Peaceful, spread out and just appealing to the eye. And the staff has always been very cordial and helpful whether I'm ordering in or carrying out. I have not had a bad customer service experience there. Always attentive and ready to help you out if something isn't right. And of course, the most important part: the food. Their Crab Rangoon is spot-on, as is their Thai Iced Tea. One of my favorites is the Thai Fried Rice with Beef. Everything tastes and looks very fresh. I've had experiences with Thai food that can feel a tad reheated and inorganic. That was not the case here. I'd definitely recommend Anna Thai for a date night or carryout dinner. However, their delivery fee is very high, so I would not recommend delivery unfortunately unless you are going to be ordering A LOT. read more

The Pad Thai here used to be wonderful. Now it is different every time I get it. Depending on the day, the spice levels are completely inconsistent. One day a level 2 will be undetectable, while the next time a 2 is unbearably spicy. Sometimes there are peanuts on top, sometimes there are not, etc. Sometimes the peanut sauce flavor is wonderful, sometimes it's missing, completely. It hasn't been the same once in the past 4 months. Just having some consistency would be great. I won't bother ordering it anymore, and that's sad because it's one of my favorite dishes. read more

Amazing! We were really surprised by the side salad with ginger dressing for Bangkok Duck. The duck was very juicy and delicious. We also had Pineapple Fried Rice which is amazing too! The Pineapple was so fresh and smoothly. Even the water has lemon juice and other ingredients added. Perfect details and services. Great curry, speedy service and great prices! Great for a quiet lunch downtown. Prices are actually really cheap, especially for lunch. I would say for nine dollars or so you get better food than Coney McKane's, although the best bang for your buck is still Sloan's Calzones. The decor is really nice, polished, and new, and the atmosphere is laid back and classy.
