Chicken fried steak, hash browns country gravy over easy eggs sourdough toast $10.95! Can't beat the price and food was delicious! and also the owners are probably some of the nicest people I've ever met.

Great lunch food. Hawaiian Panini was excellent. Unfortunately no spam musubi. Highly recommended

Veggie omelette - comes with hash browns (pictured) or red potatoes, plus a side of toast (sourdough pictured). All delicious!

This cafe is so special because of Myesha the waitress/bartender who makes everybody feel so cared for. She is incredible at connecting to customers and making everyone feel remembered. I started going here when I was charging our Electric Vehicle at the free chargers next store, and I just needed to use the bathroom. But after meeting Myesha I kept coming back and ordering food because she creates such a fun environment that truly feels like a community. The second time I came in she remembered my name and my order. I have only had 1 dish i get it every time - veggie omelette - and it is delicious! I notice tons of customers are regulars and many have told me that their other food items are great too. They also have a full espresso bar and liquor bar with great selection of beers on tap.

Chicken and veggie kabobs, Hawaiin bread and amazing salsa!

Used them for a work function and it was fantastic! We wanted to do a simple Hawaiin theme and they totally pulled it off! Everyone enjoyed the food and I loved the bright colors, coconuts and pineapples for touch! Will definitely use again!

Lunch in the front, party in the back. Yes folks they are a bar too. I went at lunch time and it was pretty slow. My service was great but the food missed the mark. I ordered a hamburger and fries. The presentation was nice but it really lacked flavor. They have deli sandwiches and a daily special as well. They are pretty cheap but don't set your expectations to high.

Chicken gyro with Greek Chicken soup.

I would have never stumbled upon this gem of a cafe if I hadn't had an appointment a stones throw away. It's a nice lunch spot. A few tables, some seats at the bar, pretty much what you would expect. Nothing flashy. Anna was the only one working the front of the house. She was busy getting ready for the after work crowd. I came in during the lull around 3:30. We struck up a conversation about the menu, which meandered around a bit, but finally landed on the tough work involved with running a restaurant. It turns out that she has sold it, and retires in 11 days! She seems to still absolutely love what she's doing, but after 30 years total in the business she knows it's getting to be too much. I've caught whatever little bug is going around at the moment, so when I heard the soup was a Greek chicken, that was without a doubt what I needed. I haven't had much more than toast and juice for a couple of days, so a gyro sounded good to pair with the soup. Everything is made from scratch, and that combo hit the spot! The tzatziki was super flavorful, and I think I had a little extra because I had commented how much I liked it. I took home about half the gyro which will be a perfect snack. The bill was under $9. I can see why she has a loyal following of regulars on the island. The food is satisfying and reasonable, and Anna is absolutely charming. I hope whoever takes over the cafe has the same love and passion for their customers that Anna seems to have. And I hope they keep the recipes, because I would eat that same thing for lunch everyday if I worked around there too.

Bargain Happy Hour, and very relaxed place.

The space feels cozy, welcoming, and full of personality. I especially loved the little post-it wall where customers can leave behind anything they want a small detail that makes the café feel even more personal and community-driven. What I ordered: Soft Cream Matcha One of the creamiest matchas I've ever had! The soft cream was incredibly fluffy and smooth, while the matcha itself was bold enough to come through with every sip and also had a coconuty essence to it. It had just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the matcha. If you love a rich, creamy matcha, this is definitely one to try. Es-Yen A classic Thai-style iced coffee made with condensed milk. This was strong, sweet, and definitely had that much-needed wake-me-up effect! The condensed milk gave it a creamy sweetness while still allowing the bold coffee flavor to shine through. It was the perfect balance of sweet and strong exactly what I needed. Buttered & Sweetened Condensed Milk Toast I originally had my eye on the pandan toast, but it's clearly a popular choice because it was already sold out earlier in the day! So I went with the buttered and sweetened condensed milk toast instead, and I'm so glad I did. The toast was crispy on the outside, buttery, warm, and finished with that sweet condensed milk flavor. Every bite practically melted in my mouth. The pandan toast is definitely on my list for next time! My Portland experience was made even better by my stop at Kaleido Coffee. The owners were so sweet and welcoming, taking the time to give me recommendations and making sure everyone was taken care of even during a busy rush. Until next time, Portland!

Early in the morning the coffee shop was pretty busy, especially as stores were not opened yet. As it was my first time in the shop it took me awhile to process the menu- this is definitely a coffee focus place (not for tea drinkers). And the focus seems to be on more coffee forward drinks, rather than jacked up with sugar and other stuff like Starbucks. Coffee prices are inline with other coffee stores in the area. As for seating, the shop provides tables seating. Plus there is a nice coffee bar at the windows, which is perfect for people watching. Plus there is a small coffee bar that faces the barista if you want to watch drinks being made. The Loss of a True Neighborhood Anchor…read more For years, this coffee house was the primary reason I loved living in this neighborhood. Under its original stewardship, it provided a rare "third place"--a vital social anchor where writers, neighbors, and local faces created a true sense of home. It was a space where you could spend two hours writing in the morning, knowing the flow would be punctuated by the pleasant interruptions of catching up with familiar locals. When the new ownership took over, I eagerly supported them, hoping that inclusive community spirit would endure. Unfortunately, the culture has shifted toward a rigid, punitive customer service framework that completely lacks the ability to navigate human communication differences or de-escalate sensitive situations. A simple, polite morning request to lower the early morning music unexpectedly scaled into an antagonistic confrontation with young staff. Then, in a subsequent incident, instead of a calm intervention, during a conversation, I was publicly yelled at across a crowded room by another young employee. Their continued rude behavior pushed me past a breaking point out of sheer anxiety, and I uncharacteristically lost my temper, resorted to profanity, and walked out. While I take full ownership of my part--reacting defensively under that immense stress--the owners' ultimate solution was to permanently ban a long-term, 5-plus years loyal patron rather than engage in a mutual conversation about what caused the friction in the first place. For an establishment that projects an image of neighborhood inclusivity, the reality is a stark lack of grace. By prioritizing a punitive model over community care, the new management has hollowed out the very environment that made this place a longtime, beloved local fixture. It is deeply saddening and has been a great upset to lose such a meaningful part of my daily neighborhood routine, but those who value a truly inclusive, understanding neighborhood environment should be aware of how the culture here has fundamentally changed.
