Eight and a half years ago my wife and I had Annie's (Lake Elsinore) cater our wedding day! We had an omelette station, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, etc! We haven't been in years and today I happened to drive by this new location and had to stop in! This was my daughters (2 1/2yrs old) first time. In town staying with a few friends for the weekend - needed a breakfast option with a host of meats in the smoker for later. Stumbled across Annie's! Had great 4.5/5 reviews and only 1 $ sign = no brainer! Then we saw that they served Full English Breakfasts! Excitement builds as we run to the car! We arrive around 11.30am and the place is absolutely packed. We wait 10mins before a table for 4 is available. We sit, put in an order of waters and start digging through the menu. There are TONS of brunch options to choose from, but luckily we already knew we wanted the 'Winston Churchill' English Breakfast. This is probably a good time to share that I was born and raised in the UK for 18 years before emigrating to SoCal- finding a decent traditional English breakfast is incredibly difficult. It's tough to even find the good kind of bacon/sausages/Heinz baked beans etc. I was practically foaming at the mouth. The plate arrives and it is stacked. Immediately I notice the bacon and sausages look legit and dive straight in for those. Much to my enjoyment, the sausages and bacon were absolutely 'spot on' - exactly like they were back home. As I had done for many years I used the Heinz baked beans to 'mop up' the plate and complement the meat. Heaven. Now a few gripes I'm afraid: - I love my beans. There's a right way to cook them and a wrong way to cook them. Keeping them on a low heat stove top for an extended period of time must have obvious benefits for serving lots of people quickly- but it also dries out the beans and changes their consistency into a mushy paste. I like the 'bean sauce' to be 'runny' and thus able to act as a delicious complement to everything else. - I didn't finish the mushrooms as they were slightly undercooked - The huge amount of dry hash browns were an odd addition, as they're not usually included on a traditional English breakfast plate- must be a tweak for the American audience... But not for me. - Price... Considering that on Yelp this place has just 1 $ sign - our breakfast for two came to almost $40 after tip. We had 1 small Winston, 1 large Winston, and a short stack of 3 blueberry pancakes. Couldn't help but think $40 was an awful lot. - This one is a weird one. Whenever there is a new customer in the store, they bring out a ridiculous circus hat from the back that you're expected to wear and make a loud announcement to the entire restaurant. Birthdays get even more ridiculous treatment, where loud cheesy pop music is blasted through the restaurant whilst servers do a choreographed dance routine around the guest. I guess it's great for kids, but considering the fact the restaurant was almost entirely filled with adults just looking to enjoy a good breakfast, it seemed PAINFULLY cringeworthy and out of place. I'll be back for more Bacon, Sausage and Beans- but won't be telling them I'm with any new comers and certainly would never want to be there with a hangover! read more

I always try the new restaurants in temecula and murrieta though I do not give my feed back all the time. Annies is deserving of it. I dined here on Saturday in the early afternoon with my gf .The restaurant was packed and very high energy. We still managed to get in with no wait. the service was great also considering this is mainly a breakfast spot in my opinion ( therefore the checks are not as high nor the tips) keep this in mind before you bash your server whose running there tail off for your measley $5 or $6 they share with bussers and food runners. Well staffed efficient and friendly once again. Back to the food..... delicious eggs cooked to temp perfectly, hashbrowns not burnt nor underdone, the biggest standouts the sausage here is amazing, great coffee and I love the options of 3 syrups they provide with your flapjacks. I'm not huge into the dance routine they do every half hour but that's just me the girls are cute so they can get away with it. If you say its your first time they will put a goofy hat on you .Not my thing either so I told the waitress and she understood I just wanted some grub and relaxation so they let me be :) Ill come back to try more than breakfast because I enjoyed it so much. When I learned that Annie's Cafe was opening up in Temecula, down the street from where I work I was beyond thrilled. Great food and great atmosphere. They are one of the few that can make a Monte Cristo Sandwich taste good. They have real, good sized pieces of meat and amazing french toast. I also love their omelets. Highly recommend either location and not just because the owners support the armed forces, but because the food is that great. read more

Decided to stop here on our way to San Diego Zoo & it was a good choice. Great friendly service and attentive. I believe our waitress was Heather and she was a sweetheart, food came out fast and the sausage links were my favorite. Since we were newbies to the restaurant, we were welcomed by the whole restaurant while wearing crowns, I'd say this place feels warm and welcoming as soon as you walk in the doors. My boyfriend and I stopped in for breakfast before heading back to LA and had a great experience. This is probably one of the nicest cafes I've been to. It was clean and we'll kept up and they had beautiful detailed murals painted on the walls. The service was friendly and fast and with so many options it was difficult to choose what to eat but what we eventually chose was very good. And they provided some entertainment too. We took my daughter who just promoted from 5th grade into middle school to celebrate. We almost left because the crowd was so large to even get in the restaurant but we had heard such great things so we decided to stay. Even at such a busy time we were seated in less than 15 minutes! Amazing! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious! The staff sings and dances and is quick to announce any special occasion and give you the royal treatment. My daughter and other graduates were called up to dance to The Macarena and parade around the restaurant. It was awesome! Definitely returning! Great addition to the Temecula breakfast scene. When we went I ordered one of the omelettes and my friend ordered the French toast. Both were very good.
