We had a free continental style breakfast at our hotel, but when we went and looked at the food, my husband decided it would be best if we would just look for a local place to eat. Across the street from our hotel was Annie's Café. I looked and the reviews on Yelp are a solid 4 1/2 stars. we arrived at 8:30. They have a steak special with eggs, hashbrowns, and toast for $11.99 before 9 a.m.! We both ordered that, and the food was served in large portions and delicious. I couldn't even eat it all! The inside is so quaint, there's a mural of a castle and a moat and the countryside of England that's framed with gold molding to resemble a frame. There is also a little tiny statue of a knight in the far right corner of the restaurant next to the mural. They have a cute but small countertop bar area for people who want to eat breakfast and are there alone. When we first walked in, there was only a handful of people seated. By the time we left, which was closer to 10 o'clock on a Saturday the place was packed. I highly recommend this place for breakfast! Our waitress was cheerful and I wish I could remember her name! The food here is classic diner food. I got the Annie's Special and it was pretty good. I also tried the hobo skillet and it was tasty, but needed some sauce or salsa. You pretty much get exactly what you expect. My only complaint is that this restaurant doesn't seem to know what it is. It's completely full of British decor and suits of armor, but there's only one British meal on the entire menu. The rest is standard American diner food. I was expecting a very British menu when I came in, especially with the UK flag outside and the telephone box by the door. I think they should just commit to the theme or change it to be more fitting to the menu. The service was fast, but the waitresses didn't really contribute to a good atmosphere. While we were waiting to order, they suddenly broke out into a dance number in the middle of the restaurant for no discernible reason. They blasted some loud music on the speakers and started dancing without explaining why. After that, I guess it was someone's birthday because they played an even LOUDER song and danced some more; and after that, THERE WAS ANOTHER BIRTHDAY so they did the same thing. I can tell they love their job and they're very enthusiastic, but I felt like all the dancing was pretty weird and unprofessional. My mom liked the sausage links the size of hotdogs and the French toast. I had the Country Fried Steak w/ 2 eggs over easy, home fries and for the bread I asked them what they recommend and they said their homemade biscuits which they serve sliced and butter toasted delicious. The country fried steak itself was bad neither was the country gravy I just didn't get a wow factor but was still very palatable. Some of the most amazing food we've ever had. Waitresses are always break section in the back we always get this tall blonde lady with a great personality! My wife and I were looking for a place to eat in Temecula after our failed attempt to go to eat sushi, and finding out it was closed today for 4th of July. We decided to go to this little cafe across the street and it's a cute little spot that has like a little diner vibe. First thing I noticed it seems everyone seems to know each other so I assume they have plenty of regulars. We were sat pretty quick and were giving menus and drinks right off the bat. I was debating between lunch and breakfast and in the end went with breakfast. Wife got the double whammy and I got the lumber jack, and the portions were pretty big. Overall the meal was good, there seems to be plenty of different condiments on table including 3 different syrups. I think the most interesting thing about this place is the amount of people who know each other here from customers to the manger's to the waiters and waitresses. Last Sunday brunch of 2024 here at Annie's Cafe Temecula. Such a cool English vibe cafe. Ordered spinach, avocado and cheese omelette, French toast, eggs with sausage and all very good and nice portion size. Asked for crispy hash browns that came out well with sourdough toast. We went on Black Friday. It's a brunch place, they close at 3pm. The restaurant accommodated our family right away. There was 12 of us. The staff worked fast and were very polite and friendly. I got the green salad, it was a good portion for being a side salad. My family all enjoyed their breakfast and lunch. They said it was a good portion. It seems like their breakfast, burgers and their fish and chips are the best options. Women's restaurant is small but clean, there are two stalls. My husband and I love our Annie's family! We've eaten there for nine years regularly and every time we walk in the friendly family staff is there to greet us. The staff is dedicated and make sure you have a great experience at each meal. The food is delicious! I love the avocado toast and the smaller breakfast specials.
