Fast and convenient. Hit the spot! This is not a restaurant, just a take out counter inside a Taiwanese market.

A short 15-minute drive brought us to The Dumpling House, where diners were already waiting both inside and outside. We added our name to the list at the bar (about 7-9 parties ahead of us) and were seated surprisingly quickly. Once at the table, we ordered generously--soup dumplings, BBQ pork buns, shumai, beef and broccoli, and still more dumplings. Everything was outstanding. The dumplings and other dim sum items are made fresh in-house, which really shows in both the texture and flavor. They were so good we left almost nothing behind. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area and need a satisfying, authentic dumpling fix.

When we arrived, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. After being seated, it took another 10 minutes just to receive water. No one ever came to take our order, so my husband finally had to walk up to the cashier to ask if someone could help us. Looking back, we probably should have left at that point, but our kids were already starving. Once our food arrived, we still had to flag down a server just to get our drinks and utensils. The drinks eventually came, but the utensils never did we ended up getting them ourselves. We never had an assigned waiter just multiple people bringing our dishes. The service was so poor that I honestly can't even remember how the food tasted because the entire experience was overshadowed by the lack of attention and organization. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I won't be returning.

On our first visit, we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, shrimp lo mein, and the rock cod fillet in black bean sauce. The fresh fish was absolutely delicious and a great recommendation from our server. The wings were perfectly fried and seasoned, and the portions were generous enough for the two of us to share comfortably. Our server was fantastic--super friendly, attentive, and checked on us throughout the meal. We were very grateful for her. For our second visit, we ordered many of the same dishes but decided to try the salt and pepper fish instead of the rock cod. It was moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Another great choice! The service on our second visit was a bit slower, but it seemed to be a much busier day. We had to ask for our rice, and we never received a water refill. Thankfully, my husband wasn't drinking much of his water, so I was able to finish his. Even with those minor service issues, the food was excellent and more than enough reason for us to return. I'm confident it was simply an unusually busy day. Overall, great food, generous portions, and a restaurant we'll definitely be back to visit again.

FISH WITH BLACK BEAN SAUCE: 8/10 I thought the Chow Mein was delicious and the fish with black bean sauce was cooked pretty well. I just didn't expected it to have so much gravy sauce and the fried rice was on the dry side... KUNG PAO CHICKEN: 9/10 My husband enjoyed this dish very much. I had a taste and I thought the chicken has a really nice char from the wok... I actually came back the next day with my mom and ordered another lunch special... CHICKEN WINGS: 10/10 Star of the show!! Wow!! I was wondering why I kept seeing trays of chicken wings being ordered. The roasted duck looks delicious too... SERVICE: Good service. The lady and guy were both pretty nice and welcoming... AMBIANCE: Spacious with a warm and cozy cafe vibe. You can hear the Chinese language being spoken amongst the staff. Mistakes happen, so I called and explained the situation. They told me to bring the fried rice back. What happened next was unacceptable. When I returned, they took the fried rice we had already brought home and set it on the counter while they made our Chow Mein. I was paying close attention, and I then watched them take that same returned fried rice and put it into someone else's phone order. So if you picked up an order containing House Fried Rice on August 7, 2026, around 8:30-8:45 PM, there is a very real possibility you received food that had already left the restaurant, been taken to another customer's home, and then returned. That is a serious food safety concern and completely unacceptable. After witnessing this firsthand, I will not be eating here ever again and strongly recommend others think twice before doing so.

The steamed dumplings were probably my favorite, especially the sauce they came with. That sauce was so good we literally started putting it on everything. The only downside was about a 15-minute wait for lunch, which kind of sucked, but once we were seated, the food and service completely made up for it. The portions are a lot smaller than they used to be and the food basically tasted like cafeteria food served in fancy, black plates. The peanut butter chocolate dessert was very good but a very small portion indeed. It's been a while since I've been to a big chain restaurant. I suppose the food here is what you would expect from a large restaurant chain. Prices have gone up while portion sizes have shrunk. Gratuity was added to the check which was expected. I like that which keeps me from having to figure out how much to leave.
