I was *so* hopeful for a fantastic breakfast here after reading their menu online. However, despite a very interesting, varied and creative menu, the food was far below average. In fact, one of the worst breakfasts I ever had. First, their exclusive rare coffee was mediocre, far too acidic and certainly not worth almost $4 a cup! And, unfortunately, the cream was ultra-pasteurized creamers, not a small pitcher of fresh cream that I expect of a restaurant of this supposed caliber. I admit the menu sounded fantastic and after navigating around the far-too-many sugary sweet breakfast items, I found about five items I was attracted to on the menu. I finally made my choice and ordered the carnitas benedict that was described as... "Slow cooked shredded pork, sautéed in green chili sauce, topped with poached eggs, chipotle hollandaise, tomatoes and green onions. Served over a Cheddar Jack cheese and green onion cornbread." (hey people, "slow-cooked" should have a hyphen) I thought *yum* green chili, chipotle hollandaise "cheddar jack cheese cornbread! I don't know where to start... What I received was a flavorless gloppy mess that looked NOTHING like the photo on their website. The carnitas, rather than chunks or shreds of carnitas coated with a zesty green-sauce like a chili-verde, was a pasty, gloppy, homogenous mush. No texture of carnitas and no flavor of a verde sauce. In fact, the texture was like baby food, and the only flavor was what I would describe as... sweet pork fat. None of the other accompaniments were any better. The cornbread was not cheesy and savory, but bland and, again, sweet. The hollandaise was in no way chipotle hollandaise, again bland and sweet. And the poached eggs, I do like runny yokes, but they were under-done the whites were runny also! I ordered breakfast / home-fries with my meal. The home-fries were the worst I have ever had. I expected a restaurant that seems to pride themselves on a high-end menu would have pan-fried potatoes with herbs, or at least some salt and pepper. These were bland deep-fried cubes of potato that had no flavor whatsoever. I expect these were cheap, lazy, frozen cubed potatoes dumped into the fryolator. What I received was even cold! I thought, maybe I can save the food with their own special bottled hot-pepper sauce oh no, not so. I think the owners have a sweet-tooth, so many sugary items on their menu, and now the hot-pepper sauce tasted like super-sweet ketchup. No heat, no flavor, and so sweet I had to scrape it off the bland food. The waitress never checked back on how my food was. Maybe she was tired of hearing complaints? What a disaster, I will not be back. read more

Was down to three ahead on the list but was pushed back to 17th!! Had an infant with us but no appealing to these tyrants. Ended up waiting for over an hour and will NEVER return. So this place started off nicely, our server was a doll & we got complimentary beignets for first time customers!! We live in the neighborhood and eat out often, and we won't return to this restaurant chain location, or any other of their locations. Very bad first impression today. It took the server at least 5 minutes to greet us or take our drink order. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food to arrive and there was only 2 of us!! The restaurant smelled like the garbage truck had just picked up trash, and each time someone opened the kitchen door, it smelled like a garbage dump. Gross. The tables had trash under them, in the seat booths and the servers left trash and empty plates on all the tables. Just a dirty place all over. I worked in the service industry for over 10 years and I know that especially in "large national chains", there are rules and training about never walking to the kitchen empty handed. Finally, I had to ask for more water and the server took my cup and came back with a half-full cup. Why couldn't I get a full cup of water? Unacceptable subpar service. Clean up the place, train your servers better, and hire new kitchen staff who can keep up with the business this small location brings in. read more

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast and brunch. I have had both take out and dined in . My experience dining in was pleasant as we sat at the bar and service was great. The takeout is decent as well. Try the huevo rancheros they are BOMB. Their goat cheese pancakes are delicious as well. Their omelette a top. I personally love this place, I drive from Coral Springs just to get a guaranteed good breakfast. It's packed on the weekends so I recommend utilizing yelp's live wait list. It definitely makes everything a little easier when it comes to dealing with the wait times. Servers are friendly and very attentive to each and every table. The only down side is parking. Wow! Such an amazing breakfast spot, the food is delicious. They have so many options to chose from you really can't go wrong! Everything from healthy to sweet sensation. Not to mention they have a gluten friendly menu which accommodated my food Algrey. They also serve mimosas with unique juices which was a great touch! She took such great care of my wife, my son, and I! We got there within 20 minutes of reserving and did not have to wait. We were seated right away. Service was great! From the moment you sit down to the moment you leave.
