We were waiting on an early check into our hotel. We decided to have nice breakfast. This place is really cute. Staff is friendly. We got your regular stuff. They served us biscuit beignets. Really good. The food was decent. I had a spinach, bacon omelette. The reason for the low stars... the bathroom is universal. The one I happen to go in was disgusting. I'm assuming due to a male since the toilet seat was up. Urine all around toilet and tile floor. It was gross. Besides this, I would probably try it out again

I was in town for business and decided to try the Broken Egg for breakfast since I'm diabetic and the hotel breakfast was nothing but carbs and sugar. I ordered bacon extra crispy and a pumpkin spice cold brew. Unfortunately, the bacon came out burnt instead of crispy, which made it pretty unappetizing. The cold brew was fine, but overall my experience was less than mediocre. The restaurant itself has a cute farmhouse style, and the menu and pictures make the food look great, but my order didn't live up to that. Did I mention I didn't even finish the bacon it was so bad?

When I walked in the layout was nice and seemed clean and well organized. Yet when I sat down with my normal way to sit and drink black coffee and study, things weren't like the majority of breakfast or coffee places. Services always more important to me than the taste of food and since I was the first and only person to walk in I assumed I'd have perfect service. As I sat there the whole time I never got any coffee refills nor a cup of water. The service wasn't horrible but it did make me decide to leave to another place and to never go back here again as I'm in town. The food was ok

People! This is the best breakfast spot in Brentwood TN. OMG! Evelyn was my amazing service. Had the skinny omelette with 2-pancakes and I ate everything. The ambience is so relaxing as well. Great place to sit and work for a few and have a business meeting.

Best chocolate chip pancakes ever! Service was wonderful, and the other breakfast dishes were equally delicious! Thank you!!

This wasn't a bad breakfast. Service was horribly slow but we did end up receiving everything in about an hour after ordering. The bourbon banana pancakes were my fav though. Overall it was just ok. If it didn't take so long to get the food then it would've been a better experience. Our waiter never once asked if we were ok but hey it's fine. We payed and left

Service was amazing! Was here on Father's Day, there was a crowd and a 45 minute wait; glad we waited. Food was great!

An exceptional place for breakfast/brunch and with a full bar! In Birmingham we have to wait in line or schedule ahead. Don't miss this opportunity!

I found this on Yelp (of course) and so glad I came here. We've got them in some areas of Florida, but nothing close to where I live. Anyway, my server Angela was wonderful. I found her to be a really kind patient person, and competent in her role. The food menu is built for all kinds of eaters, and also offers an extensive specialty drink menu. I ordered the Veggie Omelette with creamy feta cheese, spinach, sautéd mushrooms (subbed the tomatoes for onions). I also subbed the grits for fresh fruit. Since it's not pre-made, I was allowed to select the fruits I wanted. That's so important to me since I'm highly allergic to raw pineapple. Other popular chains really don't allow for too much customization. The dining space offers comfy booths, high tops, and regular tables. It's inviting and built to allow a lot of natural lighting. I sat in a booth enjoying the morning sunshine and wasn't pestered to eat quickly and leave. What a great way to start the day!

Nice location in a strip mall. Open seating and a full bar for those who want something more for bruch. I found the beignets to be overworked and tough. The southwestern flavors have been mellowed to the point that there is not a distictive flavor. Overpriced for the experience.

Staff is kind and prompt. Vibe is cute, but nothing especially different than any other brunch place. Food was decent, but was not as flavorful as I'd hoped.

I took my kids here for a rainy Saturday brunch today. The restaurant is nicely decorated in a southern Louisiana style with wrought iron and fun wall decorations. Server was attentive to all of the substitutions we needed for vegetarian options instead of bacon. My son got the hot chocolate with whipped cream. It tasted very fresh, and not like some packet mix. Rwandan, single source coffee was very strong and tasty. Kids meals are plentiful and the fresh fruit is unbelievable. I've never been to a place that adds mango to their fruit plates. Apple juice was also very fresh so we took it home. I got the Eggs Blackstone Benedict, and asked for spinach instead of bacon. The spinach was served as a chiffonade on top, which I thought was neat. The eggs and hollandaise were plenty and delicious. Manager personally came to make sure that everything was good. Lots of parking in front of the restaurant, no problems, even in the rain. Drink menu looked really fun. This will probably be a great place for a ladies brunch.

What a lovely place for breakfast or brunch! We were warmly welcomed and they seemed super excited that it was our first time there. Our waitstaff, Jessica was cheerful and attentive. The menu has plenty to choose from. My husband ordered the Supreme omelette and said it was delicious. I ordered 2 eggs over medium, which were perfectly cooked, accompanied by crisp bacon and City Grits as my side. The grits were the fluffiest I've ever eaten and the combination of grits, smoked Gouda, bacon, tomato and scallions was absolutely delicious. Coffee was piping hot and delicious. Only downsides were the eggs still had the cooking oil on them, which tasted a lot like the butter put on popcorn in movie theaters. I'd either change to real butter, or blot the eggs before bringing them out. I also asked for crispy bacon - which it was - but it was not very hot. Loved the biscuit beignets we received because it was our first time. We'll definitely be back. PS - If you're bringing an infant or toddler, there are changing tables in the restroom

It's in a small shopping center at the north limits of the Crieve Hall neighborhood. You can normally find a parking spot in the lot or if you know someone in the neighborhood, walking is an option too. Walk in and order at the counter. Be sure to check the available bagels that day AND any specials, especially the cinnamon bun special. Every time I have been, the staff has been extremely helpful as you navigate the choices. (note - there is a separate window outside to pickup online orders, delivery orders etc. so that helps with inside congestion). There is almost always a line but it moves quickly. On my last visit, they had just completed the March Madness bracket and were featuring the Cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese- $1. As I said, always check the special! They will feature some interesting coffees, bagels varieties and let's talk about the Cinnamon Roll. The first time I sampled the Cinnamon Roll special it was a blueberry pancake version, imagine an amazing cinnamon roll(yes, it's sweet but not overly and has great flavor), with blueberries and cream on top! The only downside is they are very large, but that means you get one to share with your people. Their bagels are really good! You can eat them plain or get some spread for them. (note that bulk bagel orders are not sliced). They also have breakfast sandwiches. To top it off, this has the feel of a real neighborhood spot. Plenty of folks greeting each other, friends connecting, families gathering. Indoor seating with books for the wee folks and some outdoor tables too. I understand they have another location but this is original CHBCO. Definitely worth checking it out!

I do think the food is better than that of most coffee shops, but I don't actually eat the food often. I've found the service to be good and for the staff to be friendly, but they only have one register, so the line may be a bit long if they are busy. It can be a bit loud, it it's a pleasant place to sit and drink coffee. The Well will normally have three pour over choices that are from their limited time offered beans. They see very fruity and flavorful, and I really enjoy that kind of coffee. They make them right where you can see them do it, and It's fun to watch the process. I've often come to try the pour over only to later buy a bag of beans for home. When you do, you get a free 12 ounce drip coffee. However, to be honest, the drip offerings seem rather mediocre to me. I would not go there to buy the batch drip coffee. I do know they have a good cappuccino, though. I debated lowering the rating when I thought about their main medium roast blend on drip - Confluence. They had a blend of Ethiopian and Kenyan beans, and it was some of the best coffee I ever had. Now, they've rotated to a blend of beans from Ethiopia and New Guinea. I bought a bag thinking it would be similar to what I had before, but it just wasn't anywhere near as good, unless you brew it as espresso. However, it's really the pour over that I drink here, so I'm keeping the eating at five stars.

It took me a few years to make it to District Coffee, and now that I have made it, I can't stop going! I am a classic coffee shop guy, and a classic iced coffee guy, so the simple pleasures meet a simple space when I pop in here. While I love sampling their seasonal flavors, they always create magic no matter the season, I normally go for the cold brew with a splash of almond milk and an addition of the sugar free vanilla syrup. Simple perfection! They have a good-sized food menu with several items from meat pies, sandwiches, waffles and even tots. I have had the loaded tots, and while an odd combination with coffee, they were quite tasty! My usual is a pastry of some kind, whatever catches my eye in the case when I get to the counter is what usually ends up on my plate. The space is well laid out and features a few spaces that each have their own vibes from the small tables for those working or studying, to the window counter, the backroom with a communal table and a couch and they even have a boardroom that is rentable for those super official meetings. I normally tuck myself in the backroom, in one of the plush side chairs and hang out for a bit. Service is okay here, honestly probably my only critique. Level of service is definitely the least consistent in my visits so far. Never enough to keep me away, but definitely enough for me to notice. Overall, I am a fan of District Coffee, and when I find myself cruising around this part of South Nashville, you best believe I will be swinging by.
