This was such a great find on my most recent trip to Nashville, so good we had to come twice! While it looks like every yuppie brunch spot in the city, it tasted a lot better than some other familiar favorites. Same industrial-chic vibe, but different food. For starters, we had the million dollar bacon both times. This was delicious! The first day, they served it a bit crispier, and the waitress asked if that was okay with us when she served it. We agreed, and it was great! It's sweet, it's salty, it's flavorful- definitely recommend. The second time we ordered it, it was not crispy, it was limp you could say (still cooked of course) but was also really good! You could probably ask them to make it crispy if you want; when they gave it to us crispy it was probably a mistake but still very yummy. We also tried the holey donuts from the starter menu, which were cinnamon sugar donut holes served with chocolate sauce and blueberry jam. These were so soft and sweet and the dips were perfect. Oh, and the coffee was decent! They give you a pot for unlimited refills. Score! For the mains, I had the smoked salmon frittata, I enjoyed it! It had a good amount of salmon in it, as well as veggies. It was maybe on the drier side, but still good. The cheese grits were good, and I think it was made with yellow grits which I'm usually not a fan of, but these were good! It was also served with a slice of good bread, and I used some of my mom's jam on it. Excellent! My mom had scrambled eggs, which she said were really good, high praise from her. Second time around, I had the raspberry ricotta French toast. First of all, it's beautiful! Second of all, it's delicious! It's seasonal, but if you're coming in winter 2025, do not miss! You get two amazing slices of brioche bread topped with a yummy sweet ricotta and a raspberry sauce. Perhaps not enough raspberry sauce for both slices, but you're gonna want to put the (warmed!) maple syrup on the rest! There's a parking lot behind the building, and the main entrance is back there as well. When I came on a Thursday afternoon it was dead, but on Saturday afternoon it was PACKED. I could barely get in the door. They said it was a 25-40 minute wait, but they texted us that are table was ready in under 15 minutes. Service was good even though it was busy. I've eaten here twice now while traveling through Nashville on vacation. Food has been great both times, cooked exactly the way I requested. Enjoyed their coffee, but I'm not a coffee snob so opinions may vary. Both times I've eaten at the bar and received excellent, friendly service. Noise level is moderate and made for a pleasant dining experience. They have adequate parking behind the building, and the location is convenient to places I visit in the area. I am obsessed with the power breakfast quinoa bowl and their morning meditation juice. The quinoa bowl is packed with delicious protein and flavor. I love the mushrooms and tomatoes they add and the Italian sausage they use is sooo good. The juice is a perfect punch of orange, beet and ginger that will rev up your day. First thing getting off the plane, we grab breakfast! We ordered eggs Benedict and lemon ricotta pancakes. The food was good but not the best. The potatoes were wayyyyy too salty. I personally gilt my rings get tighter as my fingers started exploding. The pancakes were regular but what made them lemon ricotta was the lemon topping cream. I didn't really care for it too much. Seating is spaced so you don't feel crowded and the restaurant is beautiful. Seats are comfy and the place is clean, not much more you can ask for! Service: You take your ticket up front to pay and it turns out the server gave us the wrong ones. Instead of the cashier suggesting they get the right ticket (mine was actually the right one btw, they gave a duplicate of my ticket to someone else who already paid) or make an adjustment on the spot, it was presented as if it were my problem. I was flabbergasted and there was a line behind me, so I paid for the other more expensive ticket left open. It's a great brunch spot, but as someone who paid dang near $40 for a sandwich and iced coffee, I'm 100% not going back lol. read more

So delicious but 4 thin pieces of bacon for $6 is pretty darn high and I wouldn't do it again but if you're a bacon lover (which I am not but my husband is) it's a must try. I had the breakfast tacos which were pretty good but dry. The chicken on them was less desirable but the chorizo was great and the black beans it's served with were a nice addition. In all my Yelp elite years, I've never left a review under four stars and I'm sad I have to leave one now. We used to love first watch. But unfortunately, we will most likely not be back. We were seated before our quoted time which is about the only good thing that happened. Once we ordered, we waited 50 min before we received our food. Several tables that were seated after us got their food before us and even paid and left before ours even came. Once the food came, my husband's soup was cold, my eggs were over easy instead of fried hard, and our kids pancakes were burnt. When we paid, the lady working the register asked how everything was, and my husband politely told her that it wasn't the best and explained some things that had gone wrong. Came here for brunch on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait for a table. The servers were very friendly, we were seated right away, and they immediately took our drink orders. We got the breakfast tacos and the Sunny Seoul hash, which was part of their seasonal menu. First Watch Green Hills, Nashville TN. This place doesn't care about their customers or the food they serve. This is my second time with bad food and customer service. The server's argue over taking a table after we had been sitting there for over 10 minutes with only 5 other tables, isn't that how you get tips and paid? Avocado that is black hidden in an omelet, wonder what the health department would think? Manager doesn't care, they give you bad gift cards too, for their lousy service. Happy setting. This is a brand new Melrose area build with a big bonus: a large, perfectly paved parking lot in the rear! Yay! The space is modern, cheery and lofty. Hubby and I were among the first to dine here, and it will be a regular haunt for us. The staff was very friendly. The service was prompt. The food, most importantly, delicious. The muffin of the day was blueberry. So, yes, we had that. No hesitation to say it's one of the best I've ever had! We went South Of The Border for our meal. Mexican street corn hash. Barbacoa Tacos. Muy bien! We had never tried their specialty juices. What a treat! I had the Morning Meditation. Hubby had the watermelon. I would go back just to have those. I had the chance to go to this brand new First Watch location (my first ever First Watch visit) for a preview event. After drooling over everything on the menu, I ordered the Chile Chorizo omelet, which was filled with crumbled chorizo, slices of avocado, green chilies, roasted onions, and a cheddar/Monterey Jack cheese blend. It was topped with sour cream and served with pico de gallo on the side. The omelet itself was a bit dry, and despite the roster of mouthwatering ingredients on the inside, the entire omelet was rather bland. Even the chorizo was missing its signature savory flavor. I definitely enjoyed it, but it felt like it was missing a punch of flavor that I expected of a southwestern-style omelet. I really enjoyed the buttered artisan toast that was served on the side. The side of mixed greens on the plate was good but seemed out of place on a breakfast dish. This was a preview event, so understandably the kinks are still being ironed out. All of the employees were incredibly friendly, and I loved the interior decor. I'm glad to have another brunch option in the neighborhood, and I will certainly be back. read more

Honestly I do not get the hype with this place. The staff is far from friendly. The food stinks. I do appreciate that they have bar seating for when I want to grab brunch by myself, but the quality of everything is so lousy here. One time I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were so dry, when trying to eat them they were crumbling and falling apart. Also it blows my mind that they're a breakfast spot but don't have a coffee bar. Just hot coffee or an iced coffee, no latte cappuccino etc. options. Last time I was there the avocado on top of my food was all brown and gross. How did that make it out of the kitchen? IDK. This place is a tourist hotspot so let me just say this: it's a chain and there are a few other locations in town that are better! We live right next door and so when they moved in we were pumped. We love First Watch because we have family in Florida and it's one of our favorite little places to go there. When they started building locations in town we started going and the quality and food was great! We went to this one three different times (because I don't let one bad experience ruin me) and will never go back. First of all this place is SO busy all the time. That's fine but they never seem like they can handle the rushes. I get it, good help is hard to find, but it seems they have yet to find some. Every time our servers have been rude and almost neglected us as a table. If we were rude I could see that but I'm almost too nice to my servers because I used to be one. The food was meh, we got super small portions compared to other locations and it was lukewarm every time. I always order two drinks when I go someplace. Like a Coke and a water, and the first time we went out last never brought my water after multiple requests. No refills were ever given and once we were denied alcohol because they don't serve booze before 9 am on Mondays? Felt weird since we are local and that's never happened to us before.
