Not near as good as the one in Shreveport. The design of the restaurant is very uninviting with people standing around waiting right on top of occupied tables. Unorganized. With this being a college town, I get having the majority of the staff being students... but there should be someone mature employed that has been in the business that can help these kids out. We watched a party of two come in, give their names to get on the list, wait about two minutes then grab a newly opened and cleaned two top. The husband went back to the host stand and told them to take their names off the list, because they found a table. Who the does that? And of course the kids at the stand looked scared to death and just let it happen. My husband was served brown guacamole with his Southwest Scramble, that was also very dry. I got Stuffed Hashbrown Benedict's that weren't stuffed at all. And a boring Bloody Mart without a straw. read more

Another satisfied diner at Another Broken Egg. This breakfast option popped up at Hot n New so I gave it a try and was not disappointed. Though very busy I was promptly seated. The wait staff was very attentive and helped by offering suggestions. My mind was set on the lobster & brie omelet last night ago....i I stuck with that and glad I did. The waitress did say it was popular and promised it would not disappoint. At $15 it is reasonable for both quality and portion. The home fries its served with were bland but a little salt woke them up. I also kickstarted the visit with a nice cup of coffee in the best looking coffee mug I have ever seen... do they sell these...I hope so. The food is excellent. I recommend the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes. The cold brew was also fantastic and super smooth. One of the best parts? Their seasonal fruit side was 1/2 berries, 1/2 watermelon. Not overly bulked up with melons like most sides of fruit are at restaurants. (Hope I'm not the only one with this pet peeve!) Food and drinks were priced well. The best part, though, was our server Lauren. She was very attentive, warm and friendly, and she really enhanced our experience here. We came in on Friday morning for breakfast and were immediately seated. This place has few different coffee options: medium and bold; Fresh juices and many great food options! We got three cheese omelette (egg white omelette with cream cheese, Bree and goat cheese) sautéed mushrooms, blistering tomatoes, side of sweet ham. Everything tasted great! And my husband had 'Hey Lucy' omelette with chorizo, green chili, cheese. He loved it too! They have great fresh fruits. Instead of traditional melon and grape fruit cut, they had watermelon, fresh mango, fresh strawberry and blackberries. Fantastic! I understand the price of seafood is high but I got the lobster & brie omelette and I could smell the lobster but there weren't any big enough pieces that I could actually say there was lobster in it. My husband and I got there at 7:30 am, only a few groups of customers are there, not too busy. Our server seemed extremely busy though, we didn't even finish ordering and he was already running away (which we didn't even have a long list, we only ordered two entrees and a side) While there was only one server who's responsible for 5 groups of customers, there are at least 6 or 7 other servers gathering around the cashier hanging out. The food was okay but there was nothing unique or special to justify the prices. First Watch for example is also pricier but has a lot of unique menu items. 10/10 highly recommend! My wife and I decided to try this place out for brunch on a Saturday. We were told our wait time would be 45 minutes to an hour -- we were seated within 30 minutes (NOTE: use the Yelp waitlist to get your spot in line before you arrive). We started with classic orange mimosas (a pitcher, cause why not?). They were perfectly mixed -- I know it's hard to mess up a mimosa, but many places end up serving you 90% orange juice, which is definitely not what I'm paying for. The perfect strawberry balanced on top of the glass was a great finishing touch. I decided to order the Benedict Burger, while my wife chose the Mardi Gras omelette. WOW. Everything was perfect. We agreed they were one of (if not) the best burgers/omelettes we'd ever had, and we've had a lot of burgers and omelettes. All in all, we had a great experience and will undoubtedly return to try many more delicious items. read more

What a disappointment, they were dry, and had about a teaspoon of goat cheese on them, 4-6 blueberries and were barely warm. The baked bacon was delicious and the scrambled eggs were ok. I absolutely love Another Broken Egg Café. I have been to this restaurant for brunch in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and was excited to see that College Station, Texas also had one. Every time I visit this Café, I make sure I get their strawberry mimosa. The way they present the mimosa is beautiful. They even add a few strawberries in the mimosa which is my favorite part. This time I ordered their country ham, grits, scrambled eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. If you like simple breakfast food, they have it! The only thing I was not too fond of was their grits. They were a little cold. Otherwise, my brunch was amazing per usual. If you ever visit this breakfast/brunch restaurant, I highly recommend their mimosas. The staff really made my dining experience extra special: the waitress was friendly, attentive, and very apologetic about "the wait" (even though I didn't notice any wait). A couple--I think the owners or managers--were walking through the restaurant asking if we needed anything and thanking us for dining with them. When patrons left, busboys immediately jumped to clean their tables and dishes. I really appreciate the effort the staff put into making everyone feel welcome and accommodating the masses as best they could. Huge "thank you" to everyone working on Memorial Day! The food is really good, but don't go on a Sunday if you're hungry. We were quoted for 40 minutes. No big deal. But after 40 minutes they told us another 30 minutes. About 30 minutes later we checked the list and we're still 13th on the list. I'm not upset about waiting. It would just be nice to be quoted an actual accurate time. I've had multiple times where I've sent it back (either to much grease or runny grits) but I Chance it every time bc once they get it right mmmmm heaven in your mouth!
