First things first...there must be an inside joke I'm missing out on because there are so many broken egg, broken yolk, egg yolk...egg themed breakfast spots in Columbus. And this is just "another" one of them. Pros - parking is easy, you can put your name on a waitlist to be seated quickly, and service is friendly and fairly quick. The restaurant is cute and the decor is fun. Cons - I guess the food just isn't my cup of tea. I had the Hash Brown Benedict and it was nothing like pictured - it's 50% mushrooms (I'm talking large slices of mushrooms, and piles of them), qnd 50% potatoes. I couldn't find any ham in the croquettes themselves. The sauce just created a wet, starchy breakfast experience and I had a protein bar on the way out haha. I met two friends at 9:00 am on a Saturday. No wait. We shared shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and cinnamon roll French toast which comes with cooked-to-your-choice eggs and meat of your choice. The shrimp and grits had a great consistency but lacked flavor. The waffle was cooked just right with crispy yet fluffy. The chicken had too much breading and could have used more flavor. Nothing special about the scrambled eggs but the bacon was perfectly crisp. The cinnamon roll French toast came with cream cheese and caramel frosting, berries, and whipped cream. I really enjoy the food here. The breakfast items are so delicious, preparation is great and in my experience they bring out your table's food at the same time. The Abe infused Bloody Mary and the vanilla spiked cold brew added a nice touch to our brunch experience! The servers are always pleasant and I can tell how hard working they are because this place is always busy! The only reason I have taken off stars is because sometimes the wait can be rather long (because of how busy this place can get). Brunch is popular and it's at Easton so understandably so. The bathroom stall appeared clean but was a little messy but this was close to closing and it could have been the result of one person.. just something to note. I definitely would recommend "joining the line" on your phone ahead of time or just be prepared that you might have to wait some. I'll return! read more

We came in for the first time on MLK day expecting it to be crazy busy, it wasn't at 8.30am when we arrived. By 10am there was a line and rightfully so. The food was delicious, serving sizes were plentiful and the menu had options for everyone- gluten friendly options too! Winner! Our server was busy but that didn't stop her from being attentive, ensuring we were looked after and enjoyed our meals. We came here on a Monday morning and it was surprisingly busy. Although we got seated fast, our service was quite slow. In fact, we got free beignets because we had no wait staff for about 15 minutes. I enjoyed my lox sandwich because it was flavorful -- and reminded me of home ... but my BF liked his Eggs Benedict a little less. The beignets were tasty enough, but claggy. The place very busy and does not appear to be well organized. The interior has cool decor but is super noisy ( they missed the sound absorbing part of the design). The service was OK. The food was OK - I had the eggs Benedict with the grits which neither were impressive - Wifie had an omelet with the potatoes which was good but very average. There is a huge time gap between the time you place the order and get your food. The pricing is a tad on the high side but reasonable. It does take some time for the servers to get to you, but that's to be expected with the volume of activity. I ordered the veggie omelette as a scramble with an English Muffin and side of fruit. The menu here is expansive so it is really hard to choose what to get! We started off with coffee and a specialty mimosa. The coffee service here is not like other places where you're topped with fresh drip coffee throughout your breakfast, you do have to flag down your server to ask for some (if you can find your server here, this place is hectic on the weekend). I got the Broken Egg sandwich, and it was pretty disappointing. The Chicken was chewy and over fried, it didn't even have any flavor whatsoever and the gravy was a spoonful worth on top. The city grits? These were really great. Super crispy bacon, tomatoes, and scallions over cheesy grits is a great combination. My boyfriend got the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict which was good, not much to note there. I'll start this review by saying that I've intentionally avoided this place because of past reviews. With all of the hype and new reviews that I've seen, I decided to give it a try. We arrived at 10:16 and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. This is where the fun starts - we weren't acknowledged until 11:00. Multiple servers passed by and made eye contact, but wouldn't say anything. One server passed by and awkwardly said "hi" and walked away. I finally got up and asked a server if anyone knew that we were even there (obviously they did). Come to find out, our waiter was up front talking to the hostess. Drew finally came to our table and said, "I'm so sorry... I was obviously somewhere that I shouldn't have been" and asked for our drink order. I ordered the cafe amore, my wife ordered the salted caramel spiked cold brew, and my grandmother ordered the orange mimosa. Let me be clear - do not drink these on an empty stomach! My cafe amore (frangelico, makers mark bourbon, with a splash of coffee) was ROUGH to drink. I had about two sips of it before calling it a day. I don't expect mugs full of straight liquor for brunch, but this is definitely the place to go if that's your thing! The salted caramel cold brew was strong as well, but delicious and tolerable! The mimosa had a *splash* of orange juice. Our meals came out shortly after by another waiter. When I ordered I specified that I wanted to substitute my English muffin for fresh fruit. Apparently that wasn't communicated well by me because I had to wait another 20 minutes to actually get the potatoes. I asked the guy who brought out the food and had to ask someone else 20 minutes later. Our server came by once to check on us. I'm so used to servers immediately coming over to check and make sure we've received everything. This isn't priority here. I ordered the sunrise spinach scrambler (with fresh fruit and potatoes). The fresh fruit and potatoes were the star of this dish! The fruit was so fresh and tasted amazing. Unfortunately the scrambler did not meet up to any expectations that I had. There is a huge difference between fresh spinach in your eggs and frozen spinach from the grocery store. My entire meal tasted like freezer spinach! My grandmother ordered the sausage and fennel omelette. She's not too hard to please, but immediately pointed out the unreal amount of grease on her omelette. I'm not sure if it was due to the cheese or sausage, but I have never in my life seen a greasy omelette. She ended up eating it and I 110% guarantee that it was because she did not want to wait another hour for a meal. She loved the potatoes, as well. My wife ordered the Cinnamon Roll French toast and was not impressed. I thought it was delicious, but she said "I can smash down some canned cinnamon rolls at home and they would probably taste the same". She refused to touch the sausage that came with her meal because it was burnt. She ordered eggs over medium and that seemed to be the only thing right this entire meal. The waiter finally came back after we stacked all of our plates... about another 30 minutes after we were done eating. He asked if we were ready for the check and we said yes. We probably would have done another round of drinks, but at this point we didn't care to wait anymore. Overall, I was not impressed. I think service probably would have been better if we sat at the bar, but that doesn't make up for any of the food. They don't seem short staffed considering everyone just stands around and talks to each other. It just seems like a lot of "new" people or people who just don't care. This place has wonderful food. Amazing food. Their sausage has this sweet and savory flavor that is amazing. I've never tasted anything like it. There's only one problem, but there are workarounds. There seems to always be at least a little bit of a wait to get in, and it gets up to an hour or two. They have an online waitlist so you can time your arrival so you don't have to wait *too* long. Unfortunately, that delay extends into the restaurant and there is always a fairly long wait for food too. The servers are all very nice and attentive though. Just don't go there if you need to be somewhere. Bring something for your kids to do if they get squirrelly. And it's quite loud. They could really use some kind of acoustic dampener. It's a common problem with high, open ceilings. But the food is next-level amazing, so even though some of those things are ordinarily dealbreakers for me, I'll be going back again and again. I visited this restaurant on Saturday for the first time. It is New Orleans southern-inspired restaurant chain that serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and cocktails. It gets pretty busy and the wait can be long. I recommend getting on the waitlist from their website as soon as possible. The meals were around $15 a piece. It's in a nice area of Easton with garage parking across the street. The meal and the service were fabulous. My only complaint it the bathroom. There are only two stalls in the ladies room with a sink crammed in behind the door. Otherwise, I recommend trying out this restaurant. I had the Hey Lucy omelette. It has chorizo, onions and green chilies omelette, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese and avocado. It's served with a side of salsa and sour cream. It also comes with an English muffin and grits or fresh country potatoes. I'm not much of a grits person, so I chose the potatoes. They were about the size of a quarter and seemed to be baked making them slightly crispy and perfectly soft inside. The omelette fillings were evenly distributed and cooked to perfection. The flavor was more of a Mexican style and was delish. Everything was fresh and came to the table piping hot. I also tried one of their brunch blueberry margarita. It had the sweetness of a blueberry with a tequila kick. I was honestly surprised how strong it was. The price was a little high, but I felt like I got my money's worth. They had so many other dishes that I wanted to try including pumpkin pancakes and Biscuit Beignets, but I simply did not have the extra room in my stomach. My first impression was last Sunday when we arrived at 1:00 for brunch. The place was very busy. I approached the host stand and let them know I needed a table for 3. The girl said "oh no, we are on a 2 hour wait and we aren't taking anymore names". So basically, "leave with your bad self"... no real apology, nothing. With the restaurant still being open for an hour, I was shocked (whether they were busy or not) to turn people away when we arrived well before closing time. Not a great first impression, but they are new so we gave them another chance. Unfortunately after dining today I regret the second chance. We decided a weekday after breakfast hours would help with the congestion and busyness of the restaurant. I put our name on the waitlist via Yelp and when we arrived we only had to wait for the table to be cleaned off. Still lively and and good crowd at 11:00AM on a Thursday. So far, so much better! The service was decent...but I'm all about the food! We ordered the Hash Brown Benedict, Country Power Bowl and the Bourbon Banana Pancakes! My dad said the Hash Brown Benedict was terrible. The hashbrown croquets did look very burnt from my view but I did not taste them. He said he would give the dish a -1. Yikes. I had the country power bowl and bourbon pancakes. The power bowl was subpar, not much flavor. The mix of grits, scrambled eggs and gravy felt like a heavy bland that was heavy without good flavor. The pancakes were dry and completely burnt. Located in the Old Panera location at Easton, this breakfast/brunch/lunch spot is a super cute update to the old space. I was excited to try the Crab Cake Benedict with the andouille-infused hollandaise and the beignets. I hate to say it, but there was no hint of andouille anywhere in the hollandaise or on the plate. In fact, it was quite bland, sparce on the benedict, and added nothing to the meal. The only real flavor came from the crab and the green onion. The biscuit beignets were definitely biscuits rolled in powdered sugar. The apricot marmalade added a nice flavor to the dense dough. If you are expecting traditional beignets, change your thinking. My husband got the triple stack pancakes with a side of sausage and hashbrowns. We were both surprised when a dish containing a fried ball appeared, which was their take on hashbrowns. The hashbrown ball had good flavor with sweet ham inside, though. The sausage was probably the most flavorful thing we received. Overall it was a decent breakfast with pleasant service. Would I be begging to return? No. Would I come again? Probably. read more

Finally! A breakfast spot in the Easton area. This is a new restaurant located in the former Panera location. The first of its chain in central Ohio, but there are several locations located all over the south. They feature southern style breakfast with a twist. Customer service was excellent. We arrived at 8:30 on a Saturday morning and we're seated right away. Several people checked on us throughout our visit to see how things were. I hope they keep this up. Food was excellent! I ordered the Country Power Bowl. I'm a huge fan of grits and these were excellent. I don't usually order grits in Columbus because no one makes them well. The combination with the sausage gravy was really good. My biscuit was just okay, a little cold when I received it. Also, no butter was served with the biscuit or my daughters English muffin. Of course we had to try the Biscuit Beignets, they were good and hot. Larger than I was expecting. Truly a sharing size. It is on the pricey side so be prepared. Asked for cranberry juice to another server, but she also forgot it. Finally, when the original server came, she didn't even remember that we ordered cranberry juice, and did not even apologize. When cranberry juice came, we had already finished eating our food. 4. English muffin was too hard and inedible. 5. Music was too loud and we had to shout when we were talking 6. Went to Easton this morning for breakfast for my first day of retirement. We were seated quickly and the server came to take our order. The server was also the bartender and I asked about the spicy bloody Mary and she stated she had never had it so she could not say if it was good, I should have known from her response I probably should have passed but it was a special day for me. When it arrived it looked good with celery, bacon and okra as garnish, but the taste was spice, vodka and nothing. The so called house made Bloody Mary mix had no taste whatsoever, it tasted like water. When the server came back I let her know the drink was not good and all she said was "sorry" and walked away, no offer of choosing something else. Despite it is a breakfast chain, but wanted to try it and help non-profit New Directions before the official grand opening of Another Broken Egg Cafe in Columbus at Easton Town Center. I had a Diet Coke and a cup of decaf coffee. They are famous for their Biscuit Beignets with Powdered sugar and Honey marmalade and was perfect with coffee. My main course was The Supreme Omelette with Sausage, Bacon, onions, and mushrooms topped with Cheddar Jack cheese; and it was yummy and delicious. The Beignets did it for me. Great service from staff. You can have cocktails with your breakfast, unless you are driving. They have a Gluten Free and Vegetarian menu at Another Broken Egg Cafe. They are a Southern inspired breakfast place that will be successful in Columbus. I am definitely going back to Another Broken Egg Cafe at Easton Town Center. Busy busy busy! Another Broken Egg is new to the Columbus brunch scene. It was getting readied when we visited Columbus in December, so not sure when the place opened between then and end of March. This place is a National chain, with most locations in the south. This sort of explains the New Orleans Cajun creole bent to menu items. We got the biscuit beignets to start. I also got the sausage and fennel omelet, which is served with potatoes. It was good overall. The beignets were a little doughy--thus the biscuit. My spouse got the lobster Brie omelette and said it was super delicious. Service was a bit slow. We had a high schooler and my bet was this was his first job as a waiter. Coffee was the worst ever. Basically water with some coffee color where you could see the bottom of the pottery cup and was boiling hot. Coffee is not to be boiling and you certainly should not see the bottom of the cup. Unfortunately, waitress saw our cups full when she came back with a pot and didn't bother to ask why after 30 minutes the cups were still full, just dropped the bill. Food was good - only reason for a 2 - however all the capers, red onions and scallions fell off the bagel with nothing to attach to - its more of a visual than something to enjoy. The insulting part was the fact that the receipt stapled to the bag displayed in red font the correct order! But my loss right since they have my money already.
