She never asked how food was, very much in too much of a rush to be concerned with my order (appeared to be understaffed by the number of tables she was covering). Colombian brew coffee was good. I am not a breakfast person at all, if I don't have breakfast I don't really care, AT ALL! But if I come here to have breakfast or brunch, I know I'll enjoy it. This is a cute restaurant, with a nice vibe and modern structure, the lines can be long to get a table but if you don't mind to wait, just do it. Even though my food was not amazingly good (maybe this one is not the best they have) I enjoyed it but being honest is a weird version of huevos rancheros, I expected something different, but it was not terrible. A rep stopped in at my office and gave me some info on their catering offerings, along with a free beignet coupon. When my husband and his brother needed a breakfast idea, I told him about Another Broken Egg Cafe. The rep talked so highly about it, and were always up for new things, so they tried it out. It was quite possibly the worst meal they've ever had. I was told: The beignets were overcooked and dried out, the dipping stuff was solid gelatin of some sort." We were seated at a very small table squeezed between two families, even though multiple open tables were available. We politely asked to switch tables, and the server simply said 'no' without offering any explanation or alternative. It felt dismissive and unprofessional, so we decided to leave. Well... where do I start? Our server came to the table and asked if we wanted water and coffee or another drink. She didn't give her nam. There were two of us and we said yes water and coffee would be fine. She then brought two waters and one coffee. Had to ask for the second. We placed our orders and I ordered the Louisiana gumbo. It was horrible! I counted three very tiny shrimp and a tablespoon of rice in some nasty brown gravy. There was supposed to be crawfish but I couldn't find any! So I asked to have that returned and she asked if I wanted another menu item. I decided on the Apple crunch French toast. The menu item was supposed to come with two eggs. Since we were leaving, I just asked her to box it to go. When I came home, there was some burnt toast with what looked like canned apples on top and no eggs. I tried to call the restauran. There was a long message about how to get seated that ended with you cannot leave a voicemail message because the mailbox is full. No human being answered the phone. This was my first visit and my last visit to broken egg cafe, excuse me, another broken egg café. Delicious brunch place!! The mimosas were tasty and strong (with lots of champagne!) that my group was so happy about! They have the BEST GLUTEN FREE PANCAKES I have ever found!! They were absolutely amazing and I have yet to find a place in Columbus that makes gluten free pancakes this good. The French toast, fruit, eggs, bacon - everything was delicious! Get ready to do some waiting! You can put your name ahead of time for a table on the website, but you'll wait again for awhile after you order. Service was friendly, but it just seemed to take forever. I was hoping for more once my meal came--but I just wasn't all that impressed. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it lacked flavor and the shrimpies were TINY (which was funny to me because they have a "gulf shrimp" poster on the wall that insinuated to me that I'd get some sizable shrimps in my meal!) Both locations fill up quickly during prime hours and holiday seasons. 2 stars. I finally got to try this place out for the first time ever. Every time I would go by, it was packed out and so busy - it was totally worth the wait! I order their Key Lime Pancakes and Breakfast meal, that came with 2 eggs and a meat choice. The key lime pancakes were on point and something I would go back specifically for! I have visited here twice now and feel pretty certain with a 3 star review. My food and experience here both times was good. Not great, not bad, just good. On my first visit I had the strawberry pound cake french toast. I expected this to be really dense but the pound cake was incredibly crumbly and hard to get on my fork. The egg/milk mixture for the french toast didn't really penetrate the cake, it was just on the exterior. Overall it was fine but not what I expected. My guest got the cinnamon roll french toast. I tried a bite and it was wayyyy too sweet for me but she really liked it. On my second visit I did the "traditional day starter" which includes eggs, meat, potatoes or grits, and an english muffin. The menu stated you could add two "traditional day pancakes" for $5 so I did just that. What I didn't realize is that the pancakes were maybe 3 bites each. So for $5 I got 6 extra bites. I would not get this order specifically again because it wasn't a lot of food for the price to be honest, but it all tasted good. I had brunch today and although our food was good, I was a bit disappointed with the service and very disappointed with the presentation of both my plate and my fiancé's. You eat with your eyes first & if I can plate food nicely at home, they can definitely do it here. We came when it was pretty busy, but now I know you can join the waitlist on their website. So, I will do that next time. Our server was not very attentive throughout the meal. I even asked for napkins several times and never got them. She mentioned it when we were ready to leave, after I asked for a to go box. When it was time to pay she was busy talking to her friends seated nearby. I ordered the mango Barbacoa tostada stack. The meat was very flavorful and juicy but they were stingy with the mango salsa. The tortillas were fried to perfection and my egg was properly cooked over medium. My fiancé got the lemon blueberry & goat cheese pancakes. They were so fluffy and delicious but her food was also slopped on the plate and the eggs tasted like school cafeteria eggs.. Another thing that was disappointing was that the tables and chairs were not properly cleaned. It was definitely an experience yesterday at Another Broken Egg in Columbus. Keep in mind that this review is within a few weeks of the restaurant opening. This restaurant was PACKED! I knew I wanted to go to this restaurant the day before so I was looking on Yelp and realize that there was a waitlist option. I wanted to go eat at 10:30 AM so I put myself on the waitlist at 9:30 AM and it said it was about 45 to an hour wait. We arrived at 10:15 AM and was told that we would have to wait 30 to 50 minutes more for a table. They were people coming in as a walk-in and were told that they would have to wait an hour to two hours for a table. This place is definitely a waitlist restaurant if you are going during the peak hours of the day. After about 45 minutes of waiting, the manager walked up to us and asked if we had our name on the list and I said yes and he asked what it was and how long we've been waiting and right away, he grabbed menus and said you are not waiting anymore and sat us. It took about five minutes for our waitress it come over and we ended up ordering our meals and drinks. I got orange juice which cost about $4 which I might skip next time. For my entree, I got chicken and waffles and look at that photo. The Chicken and Waffles is Crispy fried chicken tenders on a Belgian waffle, drizzled with house-made chipotle honey. The chipotle honey was AMAZING! I asked for more. My friend got an omelette but I can't remember which one. I'm always down to go out to breakfast so when my mom invited me to this place I was stoked. Another broken egg is in Panera's old location at Easton, near Trader Joe's. Walking in I noticed it's bright, clean, and very open. We were seated right away and greeted by our waitress shortly after. We ordered drinks and food pretty quickly and as we waited for our food several team members checked in on us and gave refills when needed. The menu is southern style food with some items even leaning slightly more low country. There's a good variety of options. I chose the Big Easy Scrambler which was scrambled eggs, potatoes, andouille, crawfish, peppers, onions, and cheese and served with an English muffin. I enjoyed my food, it had nice flavor and was well seasoned. The English muffin wasn't served with butter or jelly/jam so I did have to ask for that, but it was good too. We also ordered the biscuit beignets, they are served with orange marmalade, they were delicious. They were piping hot and a good size, a full order is definitely enough to share with the table. I will say that the restaurant is on the louder side. Between the conversations carrying and the music, it was quite noisy. I also think the prices are a bit high for a breakfast/brunch spot ranging from $13-15 per meal. They also serve alcohol and those drinks were in the $10 range. First time here! Walked in on a Saturday morning around 9:30 and was seated immediately. I ordered the lobster and brie omelette with a biscuit and a side of fruit. Everything was delicious! However, (I can't believe I'm saying this) the cream cheese what a little heavy and bland inside the omelette. Still, I loved the toppings with the tomatoes, lobster, and brie. It's a small space inside so it can be very loud. I like the natural lighting and long span of windows allowing you to look out to the street. No alcohol this trip as I was trying to keep it light but they have an extensive cocktail menu and if you're into bloody Marys, they make their own mix! They have a large list of bloody Mary options I'll have to try next time I stop in. Our waitress was punctual and kept my water full and food coming. I never felt rushed, but everything came so fast! This restaurant is in Easton outside. There is garage parking which is convenient. We put our name on the waitlist when we were leaving home so our table would hopefully be ready when we got there. We had to wait about 15-20 mins for our table still once we arrived. Once we were seated, the service was great! I ordered the Louisiana Shrimp Benedict with the city grits which was soooo good. Wonderful experience here today. Yes, there was a wait to get in and it was super busy, however, we chose to go later on. Sunday morning. So we expected it. We got our text, showed up and got seated right away. Our server, Chauncey came right over and had amazing recommendations for us. Personality, charm, humor, came back to check on us. Went on a Saturday morning and enjoyed my visit. Service was very good and friendly. I was also surprised how fast we received our meals! The restaurant had a great ambiance and was very clean. As far as the food goes, I did find their coffee very weak. I commented to my friend that it was like drinking hot brown water, no coffee flavor at all. I ordered the Mardi Gras omelette. I found the shrimp overpowered the other flavors I was expecting with this omelette. I could see the sausage but couldn't taste it. I got a side of plain grits and found them very good and creamy, no lumps at all. My friend enjoyed his veggie omelette and commented how much he liked the side of crispy potatoes he got. So I believe in the space of brunch wherein one can offer omelette, waffle or pancake varieties along with the taste of course is pretty limited. I look forward for menus which offer something different from the usual "diners'. There is nothing wrong in them i go there too but you definitely need some excitement. I recently joined some family at Another Broken Egg Cafe for brunch. I was not feeling well, so I didn't order anything for myself. However, I shared everything my brother got, so I was still able to try quite a bit. We tried the Lobster Benedict Hash, which had good flavor, but didn't quite deliver what you'd expect from the description. This is also how I felt about the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancake, which was literally regular pancakes with a small scoop of fresh blueberries and some crumbled goat cheese sitting on top. The cheesy grits were pretty good-- very buttery and smooth. I also tried the lobster and brie omelette and while it was good, I could've done without the melted brie rind sitting on top of the eggs, but I know some people enjoy the rind. Everyone at the table got cocktails and loved them. I sipped my brother's gin bloody Mary and really liked it. It was much better than a traditional vodka bloody Mary. The ambiance is pretty standard for a chain breakfast spot. The best part of our experience was the service. Our server was kind and attentive and made us laugh.
