Our server was new but he was extremely nice and helpful. The food came out quickly and it looked very appetizing. The omelette was seasoned well and all the ingredients complimented each other nicely. The potatoes were a little crispier than what I am used to, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Came to Easton to shop all day for my sister's birthday and wanted to start with a good breakfast/brunch to set the tone. So glad to have made the choice to try Another Broken Egg. Joining the waitlist was a simple online form and checking in the host was standard process. The dining room feels like a standard brunch place. Carl B was our server and he made this first experience of this restaurant a great one. He was ready with recommendations, attentive to our needs, and truly seemed to care in his check-ins with us. My sister got the Southwest Scramble with the City Grits, her boyfriend got the Bacquezo Omelet with potatoes, and I got the Smoked Salmon Benedict with potatoes. Everything was Amazing but I truly want to comment on the City Grits. Have never had grits made like that before but will be trying to recreate them at home for sure. So good!! This was one of the best restaurants I have tried in Columbus. I'm not sure why so many people have left negative reviews. The food heavily draws from Southern cuisine, and it is absolutely incredible. The server we had recommended the Bourbon Street Pancakes but with french toast instead of pancakes, and it was amazing. The cocktails were delicious too. This is more of a "trendy" restaurant, so if that isn't your preference, I would skip it. They also do not accept reservations, but you can join the waitlist, and you'll get a text when your table is ready. My friends and I just hopped on the waitlist, did our shopping around Easton, and then grabbed some brunch. Our server was wonderful too - super helpful, very friendly, and provided great service. I am not a breakfast person at all, if I don't have breakfast I don't really care, AT ALL! But if I come here to have breakfast or brunch, I know I'll enjoy it. This is a cute restaurant, with a nice vibe and modern structure, the lines can be long to get a table but if you don't mind to wait, just do it. Even though my food was not amazingly good (maybe this one is not the best they have) I enjoyed it but being honest is a weird version of huevos rancheros, I expected something different, but it was not terrible. Ordered the biscuit and gravy, with eggs scrambled, arrived sunny side up. No revisit from the waitress until she brought the bill. Delicious brunch place!! The mimosas were tasty and strong (with lots of champagne!) that my group was so happy about! They have the BEST GLUTEN FREE PANCAKES I have ever found!! They were absolutely amazing and I have yet to find a place in Columbus that makes gluten free pancakes this good. The French toast, fruit, eggs, bacon - everything was delicious! I will say I don't recommend the pork sausage as it had a weird taste to it, but it was still edible. We went on a Sunday at 11:30 AM - SUPER busy time to go but the service was amazing. Get ready to do some waiting! You can put your name ahead of time for a table on the website, but you'll wait again for awhile after you order. Service was friendly, but it just seemed to take forever. I was hoping for more once my meal came--but I just wasn't all that impressed. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it lacked flavor and the shrimpies were TINY (which was funny to me because they have a "gulf shrimp" poster on the wall that insinuated to me that I'd get some sizable shrimps in my meal!) We were seated at a very small table squeezed between two families, even though multiple open tables were available. The chocolate chip pancakes had few chocolate chips and tasted like frozen pancakes. The bananas tasted old. They would not put the integral whipped cream on pancakes, so I had to request it as a side to receive. The English muffin tasted store bought and not freshly baked. 1 star. Conclusion: This restaurant needs better management and better food. I was mostly disappointed in the customer service. I have visited here twice now and feel pretty certain with a 3 star review. My food and experience here both times was good. Not great, not bad, just good. On my first visit I had the strawberry pound cake french toast. I expected this to be really dense but the pound cake was incredibly crumbly and hard to get on my fork. The egg/milk mixture for the french toast didn't really penetrate the cake, it was just on the exterior. Overall it was fine but not what I expected. My guest got the cinnamon roll french toast. I tried a bite and it was wayyyy too sweet for me but she really liked it. On my second visit I did the "traditional day starter" which includes eggs, meat, potatoes or grits, and an english muffin. The menu stated you could add two "traditional day pancakes" for $5 so I did just that. What I didn't realize is that the pancakes were maybe 3 bites each. So for $5 I got 6 extra bites. I would not get this order specifically again because it wasn't a lot of food for the price to be honest, but it all tasted good. It was definitely an experience yesterday at Another Broken Egg in Columbus. Keep in mind that this review is within a few weeks of the restaurant opening. This restaurant was PACKED! I knew I wanted to go to this restaurant the day before so I was looking on Yelp and realize that there was a waitlist option. I wanted to go eat at 10:30 AM so I put myself on the waitlist at 9:30 AM and it said it was about 45 to an hour wait. We arrived at 10:15 AM and was told that we would have to wait 30 to 50 minutes more for a table. They were people coming in as a walk-in and were told that they would have to wait an hour to two hours for a table. This place is definitely a waitlist restaurant if you are going during the peak hours of the day. After about 45 minutes of waiting, the manager walked up to us and asked if we had our name on the list and I said yes and he asked what it was and how long we've been waiting and right away, he grabbed menus and said you are not waiting anymore and sat us. It took about five minutes for our waitress it come over and we ended up ordering our meals and drinks. I got orange juice which cost about $4 which I might skip next time. For my entree, I got chicken and waffles and look at that photo. The Chicken and Waffles is Crispy fried chicken tenders on a Belgian waffle, drizzled with house-made chipotle honey. The chipotle honey was AMAZING! I asked for more. My friend got an omelette but I can't remember which one. I'm always down to go out to breakfast so when my mom invited me to this place I was stoked. Another broken egg is in Panera's old location at Easton, near Trader Joe's. Walking in I noticed it's bright, clean, and very open. We were seated right away and greeted by our waitress shortly after. We ordered drinks and food pretty quickly and as we waited for our food several team members checked in on us and gave refills when needed. The menu is southern style food with some items even leaning slightly more low country. There's a good variety of options. I chose the Big Easy Scrambler which was scrambled eggs, potatoes, andouille, crawfish, peppers, onions, and cheese and served with an English muffin. I enjoyed my food, it had nice flavor and was well seasoned. The English muffin wasn't served with butter or jelly/jam so I did have to ask for that, but it was good too. We also ordered the biscuit beignets, they are served with orange marmalade, they were delicious. They were piping hot and a good size, a full order is definitely enough to share with the table. I will say that the restaurant is on the louder side. Between the conversations carrying and the music, it was quite noisy. I also think the prices are a bit high for a breakfast/brunch spot ranging from $13-15 per meal. They also serve alcohol and those drinks were in the $10 range. I had brunch today and although our food was good, I was a bit disappointed with the service and very disappointed with the presentation of both my plate and my fiancé's. You eat with your eyes first & if I can plate food nicely at home, they can definitely do it here. We came when it was pretty busy, but now I know you can join the waitlist on their website. So, I will do that next time. Our server was not very attentive throughout the meal. I even asked for napkins several times and never got them. She mentioned it when we were ready to leave, after I asked for a to go box. When it was time to pay she was busy talking to her friends seated nearby. I ordered the mango Barbacoa tostada stack. The meat was very flavorful and juicy but they were stingy with the mango salsa. The tortillas were fried to perfection and my egg was properly cooked over medium. My fiancé got the lemon blueberry & goat cheese pancakes. They were so fluffy and delicious but her food was also slopped on the plate and the eggs tasted like school cafeteria eggs.. Another thing that was disappointing was that the tables and chairs were not properly cleaned. However, (I can't believe I'm saying this) the cream cheese what a little heavy and bland inside the omelette. Still, I loved the toppings with the tomatoes, lobster, and brie. It's a small space inside so it can be very loud. I like the natural lighting and long span of windows allowing you to look out to the street. No alcohol this trip as I was trying to keep it light but they have an extensive cocktail menu and if you're into bloody Marys, they make their own mix! They have a large list of bloody Mary options I'll have to try next time I stop in. Our waitress was punctual and kept my water full and food coming. I never felt rushed, but everything came so fast! The establishment opened @7AM. We arrived around 07:30. The place was almost empty. No employees to be seen. One door dash guy waiting on his order. After about 5 mins, an employee emerged from the back with the carry out order but had to go back for something missing. Another 5 mins go by. Finally seated. Mind you we only see two employees and there are 3 tables occupied. Ordered our food and when it arrived it's barely warm and has the film of sitting under the heat lamp. We ate it and for being only warm it was good. It was clear that the employees must have arrived as place opened. They seemed busy prepping instead of serving. We were told it would be a forty minute wait and we had no other plans so we decided to hang around. To our surprise, we were seated about ten minutes later.
